Burnut, The Bur Pokémon

Type: Grass/Steel

These Pokémon are carnivorous plants, who hang themselves high up in trees to get the drop on unsuspecting prey. It’s not hard to see how excruciatingly painful it would be to have a Burnut fall on you.

Burnut’s body and arms are made out of pure copper and are covered in pointy spikes, which it uses to defend itself against bird Pokémon.

Burkitree, The Invasive Pokémon

Type: Grass/Steel

This Pokémon has an insatiable appetite for raw energy. It plants itself in luscious habitats to sap the energy from the surrounding plants. It will also wait for Pokémon that it can envelop with its spiky branches and consume at its leisure.

The spikes that adjourn it’s body are sharp to the touch and are made of the same copper alloy that its pre-evolution is made of. Its leaves are as sharp as its spikes, making this Pokémon almost entirely pointy to the touch.

THIS NEWLY DISCOVERED ULTRA BEAST HAS A METALLIC OUTER SHELL, WHICH PROTECTS ITS INNER PLANT BODY FROM SUSTAINING DAMAGE. THE FLOWER ON THE TOP OF ITS BODY DOUBLES AS AN ANTENNA FOR COMMUNICATING WITH OTHER MEMBERS OF ITS SPECIES. ITS LEGS ARE SLIMY, ROOT-LIKE APPENDAGES WITH SPIKED DISKS FOR KEEPING ITSELF GROUNDED.

PLANTER IS DOCILE AND TENDS TO AVOID COMBAT ALTOGETHER. HOWEVER IT IS STILL EXTREMELY DANGEROUS, AS WHEN LEFT UNATTENDED, IT WILL ROOT ITSELF TO THE GROUND AND BEGIN TO PLANT ITS SEEDS IN THE SOIL. THESE SEEDS WILL GROW TO TEAR APART THE SURROUNDING LAND, WHICH ARE PROVEN TO BE DEVASTATING TO BOTH PEOPLE AND POKÉMON.

WHILE PLANTER IS THE SPECIES’ CODENAME, THEY’RE COMMONLY REFERRED TO AS KOLOSEED AND ARE CLASSIFIED AS THE WALKING POD POKÉMON.

(i drew some guys for the fakémon challenges happening over on twitter. the prompt was reimagine an ultra beast as a regular pokémon or vice versa, so i did both. i swapped the roles of xurkitree and the ferrothorn line to create ub-planter and the burkitree line!)
