realizing i have not been talking on here like at all for the past few days. hi everyone. ive been busy in the CHARACTER DESIGN MINES so i havent really been on. also dashboard unfucker going down made desktop tumblr basically unusable for me (im using the replacement but it like. slows my entire computer down??? so i think im just gonna get rid of it) other then that. uhhhhh. ive been playing terraria again. thats been fun. i beat torch god last night. theres a new charlie game character. hes a miniboss though so its nothing super exciting. i’ll introduce you all to him when im on my computer (dont have images on my phone). still working on pixel art. its going well. object camp im one of the hosts in officially started so thats cool. ive started beating up spamton daily again. forgot how fun his fight is. im eating chicken fettuccini right now. its good. and thats it thats an update on everything ive been doing because miss making 30 posts a day see you all later

Last Movie: Philadelphia which was for my sociology class during our health and illness unit.

Last Show: The Office. Season two because I liveeee in that season omg. In the last like month I have watched the full series like twice already and I just keep rewatching them. I have the LEGO office set toooo. (I actually own 2, idk why, I was hypomanic and stupid) so I love it a lot.

Last Song: I Will Follow You Into The Dark (Death Cab for Cutie) I really love this song

Song stuck in my head: Dandelions by Ruth B. It's just hitting me really hard. All of the lyrics. all of it. I just. I relate to it soooo deeply I spent my commute home listening to it full volume and crying lol.

Favorite Colour: Yellow. This is because when I was 6, my piano teacher asked me my favourite colour and I panicked and blurted out the first colour I saw. Which was my yellow folder. So yellow has been my favourite colour ever since then lol.

Currently Reading: This Is Why They Hate Us. I mean come on, bipolar bisexual POC? It's perfect. Plus pining. I'm only like 40 pages in but I really love it so far and it kinda reminds me of a lot of Stucky fan fictions I've read haha. Like some of the scenes are super similar too it's so funny.

Currently Watching: The Office... still.... I also like New Girl!

Next on your watchlist: My brother is telling me I need to watch Twin Peaks. And my other brother is telling me to watch Brooklyn 99 so I guess those are on my list?

5. Anything you haven’t drawn yet but want to?

I have this thing I call The List in my sketchbook that I keep adding more crap to draw to. So. Yeah a lot of things. For example, a sequel to my "comfort character" drawing (the one with Medic, Sub-Zero, and Michael Myers in the car) but it's just the other halves of my otps (in this case Heavy Weapons Guy, Scorpion, and Jason Voorhees) begrudgingly hanging out because their menfolk are out raising hell and they're waiting on them.

Lineart my fucking BELOATHED. Unless I'm in a flow state, it's hellish. Absolutely feels like dragging myself through barbed wire and broken glass

Usually, I listen to podcasts or video essays. Podcasts: it's usually Distractible. Because I'm basic. Video essays: I like anything that goes in depth about media analysis.

24. How do you deal with artblock?

Smack my head against the desk and power through with a prompt or something. Harder to do during the semester since I also have class work that takes priority over fun stuff, but eh it is what it is. I just try not to let art block win by being stubborn.

Modern Art

After a wonderful lunch of “fettuccini in duck ragú with figs and rosemary”, we waddled over to the National Gallery of Modern Art.

The museum itself is beautiful. In theory, the first floor is dedicated to 19th century art and the second floor to 20th century art. It felt like the lines were a bit fuzzy.

But the curator does have a sense of humor!

On the front steps are a collection of enormous lions in different stages of repose.

I could not resist giving this one a good belly scritch.

The lions are definitely happy. The words across the stairs read:

not art or anything but i wanted to share that i turned 18 on december 2nd!! :3 for my birthday we went to the philadelphia museum of art and it was super fun,,, ignore how awkward the first photo looks tho i have never been good with full body photos 😭 i also got that book on the art and culture of the ottoman empire from the gift shop 😋 then we went to olive garden because it’s my favorite chain restaurant (shhhh i know it’s not real italian food or whatever but it tastes good 💔 im such a sucker for it) (i got fettuccini alfredo if u were curious), and the waiter put a little candle on my tiramisu and sang happy birthday to me with another waitress and it was so much fun!! idk just thought i would share it because i can 🤷‍♀️

Blogging on Tumblr #2

So, idk how often you're supposed to blog. Like once a day or multiple times a day, probably a stupid question so imma just assume whenever and however much I want. Just had dry fettuccini alfredo pasta that I made for dinner. Currently just thinking of stuff to post and ideas. I've been a real bad art block, and it sucks, it feels like if I don't post or make any art I suck, and I'll end up as a starving artist. I don't wanna be a Debbie downer but that's how I feel. I'm usually a lot more optimistic but lately I've just been depressed. I'll feel better eventually though so I'm not too worried.

On a lighter note, I'm glad it's starting to feel a little colder. I LOVE Fall and Winter! So excited for Halloween. This year I wanna do those cute stupid couples costumes with my boyfriend. We decided Ash and Pikachu, we love corny couple stuff! <3

7. What animal do you look forward to seeing when you visit an aquarium? I haven't been to an aquarium in years. I'd probably like to see the penguins/water bird exhibit. Also any dark/deep sea exhibit. Especially if it involves bioluminescent creatures!

11. Anything from your childhood you've held on to? Too many things. Quite a few of my favorite stuffed animals and plastic animal figurines. A whole box of old sketchbooks and art I drew as a kid. And a good bunch of my favorite picture books. I am very overtly sentimental lol.

26. How's your spice tolerance? Pretty good, I think. Even if something is extremely spicy, I still will eagerly finish the dish.

29. Preferred pasta noodle? VERY hard to answer. I supposed fettuccini or ravioli.

E-Day - Celebrates the mathematical constant e, which is also called Euler’s Number. If you have ever taken an advanced math or physics course, you may recall seeing a little “e.” Though it’s a letter, it’s actually called Euler’s number. It has a mathematic value of 2.7182818. Like pi, the digits go on forever in a series that never repeats. Euler’s number is usually used when trying to solve a formula or equation. One example of how Euler’s number is used is when trying to determine the rate of change. In biology, Euler’s number helps calculate the rate of exponential growth or decay. Population models are another application that Euler’s number is commonly used.

Fettuccini Alfredo Day -  Fettuccine alfredo enjoys a history as rich as its flavor. Created in 1908, fettuccine was made out of love and concern by an Italian restauranteur. Alfredo di Lelio’s concern for his pregnant wife’s lack of appetite caused him to put his talents to work. The birth of their first son depended on it. His recipe of noodles, cheese, and butter not only encouraged her to eat but she also inspired him to put it on the menu, too. Since then, the century-old dish has been satisfying pasta lovers around the world ever since.

World Ballet Day - Ballet found its origins during the Renaissance throughout Italy and France, though it had yet to evolve into the form we know it today. There were no tutus, no ballet slippers, and the iconic pointe work of ballet were all things to come in the future. It found its roots in court dances, and thus incorporated the proper dance dress of women at the time, formal gowns that descended to the ankle. Unlike modern performances, the audience would join the dance as it came to a close. Later, it would come to take influences from the French ballet de cour, a form of performance which were performed strictly by the nobility, and would blend dance with speech, music, verse, song, and a great amount of pageantry. Ballet was beginning to take the shape we know of today, and it was here that it developed into a true art form.
