FF7Remake Vincent hype!

Here's a throwback to 2020 when WakingNightmare and I did Vincent & Dirge of Cerberus moogle disguise Yuffie for the KupoCon Toronto FF7Remake party, and took a few photos with MagicalAni in 20 degree F weather because we are insane lmao 😂 The irony that they both live in Florida now, away from those kinda temps XD

This was before I weathered the heck out of my moogle cape and made it look a bit more like how it does in the FF7 Remake cuz I liked that design better than how plain it looks in Dirge lol

I fuckin' love Cloud Strife. Here's an oldie but beloved picture set from 2016.

I have a weird relationship with this costume tbh. I cosplayed Cloud around 2015-2016, with the above version being based on the very first FFVII Remake trailer. I loved it! Ok, the solid cedar wood Buster Sword to replace my broken foam one was... Not smart, but otherwise it was such a fun experience! I felt badass. Could I pull it off again nowadays? Probably! But the old costumes got some of that mid 2010s cosplay charm to it, from that era right before 3d printing and better access to crazy wig styling. Don't know if I'd have as much fun trying to make something accurate to the character nowadays when I already have good memories with the previous attempts. Love the character to bits, but I'm gonna let everyone else have fun with this one lol

Feeling pretty good about how this came out, considering I completely forgot to pattern the scaled side panels for the mock-up (oops) and rather than redo it, I just sorta freehanded some princess seams and stuck the leather pieces into the final assembly. 😅

The contrasting zipper is, uh, totally intentional and definitely not because I grabbed a non-separating zipper by mistake and ended up having to use a recycled light blue one that had been ripped off of some random garment. (It won't be visible once the front panel is added, anyway.)

Happy Final Fantasy Friday~ I didn't watch the new FF7 Rebirth trailer from this week's State of Play, but I saw the Cissnei news. I'm SO excited they're finally putting her back in the story, and was REALLY surprised about it too since I didn't think they would. But dammit why'd they have to go and give her a new outfit (AND HAIR COLOR??) that I may end up wanting to cosplay😂
