Do you have figures/creatures of folklore in your WIP? If not, can you think of something that would fit?

In terms of "folklore", my current WIP is entirely based on the lore of Final Fantasy 14, so there aren't any specific figures or creatures I've added to the bestiary of my story beyond referencing those already known/established, and maaaaybe extrapolating a bit to include the existence of an alternatively-colored Gaelikitten minion that's an orange tabby (my character, Rufous, inspired by an *ahem* "out-of-game artistic rendering" 😸) rather than the standard grey tabby Gaelicat we're used to seeing in-game.

If, however, we're talking folklore that includes stories/mythology, I have made a point of directly referencing the legend of Merlin and Nimue in Act 1, and most recently the "Red String of Fate" of East Asian origin, in Act 2.

Interestingly enough, recently working on the aesthetics of an OC in my current WIP strongly reminded me of a main character/protagonist in an original fantasy novel project I have on the backburner, which is heavily inspired by and includes quite a bit of my own culture's folklore/mythology.

Things Id like in Endwalker that probably wont happen:

- The Magus Sisters bgm to be the ff4 boss theme

- the Anima bgm to be Summoned Beast Battle from ffx

- hrothgar get to wear the reapers hat bc hroth is the fucking keyart race ffs

- Not one villain gets an uguu im sad please sympathize with my atrocities backstory

- An auri, hroth AND viera become scions who dont get moenbryda'd.

- If Yshtola uses Flow AGAIN instead of Teleport shes dead why does she get to come back twice but Haurchefant/Ysayle and Papalymo get killed off permanently

- They dont try to make Fourchenault sympathetic after he disowned his world saving children IMMEDIATELY after telling them their ailing mother was "fine".

- White Mage lv90 gear isnt another total body covering dress we had 5 expansions of that DO SOMETHING NEEEEEEW
