In fate there are two types of events and they are on a spectrum. The one with Circe and Odysseus and then the current summer camp one.

The former is a story and guda is the camera in witch to see it. I dislike this one cause it's lazy and just a self insert thing.

The later is a actual story that guda is taking part in. Complementing mash in the control room, hanging out with lily by the lake in the store unlock quest, how illiya is constant acting for your approval and and favor in her romcom way, the actual dialogue being fun like in the lily by the lake side from before when you climb out. That's more character than guda had in the entire Circe event.

So Iike the latter butt what's y'all's take on this?

I think a lot of people's issues with Proto Merlin as a character is they had envisioned a very different character and are mad she doesn't exist.

Like every interaction she has is looked at in the worst possible light and people scream how she's "worse than Fate Merlin" because she runs from Arthur who wants to talk shop. Or that Arthur is REALLY talking about killing her, and that's funny.

Meanwhile, I'm just sitting there like "huh these two sound like old friends".

I think part of it is that ProtoMerlin DIDN'T raise Arthur as a boy, and people assume she did, so the relationship is off for a parent/child.

I think the other part is people are a little mad that in she's one of the female servants that is hinted to have no feelings at all towards Guda and is only helping because, in her words 'they're having such a miserable time, I couldn't NOT get involved. It looks fun!"

Kintoki and Mozart both were the most memorable parts of the Fate Requiem for me and they were both there for very small portions. Kintoki was literally there for one single node and he left more of an impression than the event characters minus Voyager (and Emiya Alter and Edison if those two count. I love Nursery Rhyme but I feel like her in the event was so limited).

Mozart being a little shit was both memorable, irritating and oddly one of my favourite things other than the Voyager-Kintoki interaction.

I forgot who Erice was when I checked my heroes list and saw this random 4-star Lancer girl in a paper bag costume.
