weed graphs why not
in light of recent developments (Ed smokes weed confirmed), I feel the time has come to share perhaps the nerdiest thing I have ever done for a fic.
while writing Keep your 'lectric eye on me, babe, I wanted to know approximately how high Ed and Stede would be after smoking 70s weed (= weak) in the alley behind the bar. just for fun
so naturally, I used the R package RxODE and a non-linear mixed-effects model of the pharmacokinetics/pharmacodynamics of THC from my actual research to simulate THC plasma concentrations and "feeling high" effect over time after dose:
Tumblr media
(apart from the assumptions noted on the graph, I also assume them to be medium heavy users, defined as generally smoking more than once every two weeks but at most once per day (the bioavailability is affected by this))
as you can see (and as expected), there is a high variability on the effect, so at the time of max effect (after around 30 minutes), they're most likely to be between 0.5 and 3.5 on a scale of 0-10 (should say that on the graph too instead of 1-10 sorry), with the median around 1.6-1.7.
for a strain with a THC content of 4% (which I made a similar graph for but I will die in shame if I post two graphs with different axis scales and I can't be bothered to redo it), the median maximum effect would increase to around 2, so it wouldn't make a huge difference if Ed's rockstar weed was on the stronger side for the 70s.
so the answer to the question of "how high would they be" is therefore "not very" 🤷 and they'd probably be below the median since they spend more time shotgunning and making out than effectively smoking lmao
you could say that this is all an unnecessary amount of effort just to make my favorite blorbos fuck and fall in love. and you'd be right 💗

Ah if you’re doing lore for fics, could u do it for Brothers of Frost (my beloved) —thot-son-of-odin
always still doing fic lore! :)
I have literally not looked at his fic since the day I posted it. So this will be interesting I guess.
The basis of this fic was actually based off of an idea for an original story my sister had, where countries traded heirs so that way they would stop fighting. I honestly don't even remember what the original request was so I'm not sure how badly I altered it.
I remember very vividly how much writing from Odin's POV made me feel frustrated because like, usually i just consider him to be an a-hole, but I couldn't do that from his pov and I needed him to be a good dad so I had to compromise a bit.
LORE FOR BROTHERS OF FROST <- LINK TO STORY
---
"Frigga's hand rests on his shoulder, and Odin lifts his gaze to his wife gratefully, raising his hand to gently hold her fingers between his own. She has always been attuned to him, able to read his face like an open book despite his best efforts to dissemble."
This position has always struck me as really intimate when partners do this. <3
Also I really must have just discovered the word dissemble, because when I was doing a different fic lore I saw it and was like ??? galaxy WHY. Because like, it means what I think it means in this context, there are just so many better words to use. Sometimes eyes are just eyes, yknow?
---
"The word of a Jotunn is never trustworthy."
oh and I'm spelling jotun weird. okay. Also. My man. my guy. my dude. Your xenophobia is showing and your frost giant son is literally two feet away from you.
---
"his feet giving tittering taps against the ground in a rhythm that is familiar to him."
...tittering taps? what on earth--?
---
"He casts a look at the boy, long blond hair is tucked into a messy ponytail with loose strands coming to hang around a thin face. He carries muscles, but it is meager compared to other children his age and it does not seem to hold well onto his gaunt body. He is tucked into furs, but they do not seem to be warm enough for the brittle edge of Jotunheim."
fun fact!! @thot-son-of-odin drew fanart of this:
Tumblr media
---
"She releases his hand and moves forward slowly, though Thor flinches to it. Wide blue eyes swing up to meet the golden blonde's and his fists clench at his sides, as though preparing for a fight."
Hypervigilance from being raised in a society that loathes him. Thor was bullied and beaten up frequently.
---
"Thor barely comes up to her shoulder, and Odin can see the stiff surprise in his expression."
Guess who is receiving the first hug in their life that they can remember?
---
Thor lifts his eyes towards him, "I'm…" He murmurs in a shaky common-tongue. He swallows, "I'm…"
thor was going to say "i'm going to pass out", but frigga interrupted him.
--
"Hello, Thor," he says in a small voice, "you're well, I trust."
"I'm…" Thor repeats helplessly, then clenches his fists tightly, "yes. Of course...Thank you."
Just realized that Thor is meeting the person that he was traded for and he's probably having mixed feelings about that. On the one hand, Loki is smol, on the other, Loki stole his life.
Thor was also going to say he was going to pass out. The boy does not know how to cite his needs.
--
Odin bites sharply at his inner cheek before sharing a helpless look with his wife and rests a hand on Thor's shoulder, pretending to ignore his flinch.
Guess who is NOT used to contact that isn't intended to hurt??
---
Odin guides Thor through the palace, but the slightest noise or abrupt movement makes him flinch and draw in closer to himself. He seems terrified of everything and Odin is not quite sure what to do with this information
Yeah, guess who grew up in the middle of Jotunheim streets and like. Did not see people and color? This is literally Thor's first experience with Asgard that he remembers and everything is loud and he hates it.
---
Thor asks no questions. He hardly speaks except when asked a question, instead opting to stare at everything.
GUESS WHO DOESN'T KNOW THE COMMON TONGUE THAT WELL BECAUSE NO ONE FREAKING TAUGHT HIM?
---
When they at last make it to the royal family's wing, Thor's eyes widen with wonder. The personal rooms are adjoined in the middle with a large sitting room, a private kitchen (Frigga has always loved to cook and not even her royal status is going to stop that), and a small nook that Odin has turned into a library since he moved in here with Frigga.
Galaxy's Quest To Ignore/Explain Away Servants Continues!
---
Odin laughs with the others and rejoices, but notices with painful realization that Thor has shrunk further into himself and is barely picking at the food on his plate
GUESS WHo--i'm kidding. thor hasn't ever been to a party before. Everything is STILL LOUD.
---
Loki keeps attempting to start conversations with him (which shows the blond's true lack of talking desires if Loki, who hates initiating talking, has to start first), but Thor isn't responding.
"lack of talking desires" GALAXY WHY IS THIS--
Thor still doesn't understand the common tongue that well. Loki might as well be speaking gibberish.
---
Thor was always to return and take that responsibility. Asgard was never meant to be Loki's. It does not quell his fury to realize how many believed he'd simply sentenced his firstborn son to death.
my man my guy my dude. you didn't. even think about that a little bit? Laufey could have just outright killed Thor. And then you wouldn't have an heir. Also kind of messed up that Odin's immediate solution to this is to dump the throne onto Thor once he came back. Like. HOW DID YOU THINK THIS WAS GOING TO GO?
okay. good news guys, even when I try to write Odin as a good parent he still sucks. It's just in his nature.
I still cannot believe that Laufey didn't even want Loki back. Like BRO--
---
To recompense this, they asked Sir Borison, head of the nobility's school, to have him take a placement test. He wasn't drastically behind others his age, but he does not bare Loki's genius. Odin is not unhappy with this, he is pleased Thor understands what he can.
i'm gonna let you all in on a little secret. Sir Borison is the name I always give Loki and Thor's tutor and it's because it's literally sir boring-son. Yes, I have the sense of humor of a ten-year-old.
---
His common-tongue is often choppy, as if he did not spend enough time speaking or learning it, and the fact it did not hinder him in the testing was impressive in of itself.
YEAH. CAUSE HE TAUGHT HIMSELF HOW TO READ.
---
Thor is not so much of Jotunheim's that he does not feel.
OH MY GOSH THE XENOPHOBIA. DUDE. LOKI IS RIGHT THERE.
---
"I not want—" Thor starts, then clenches his fists, "please not make me be attended to by healer." Why is there such reluctance? Surely the boy must know that they intend him no harm. He is safe here. Asgard will always be safe for him.
I literally don't remember why Thor doesn't want to go to a healer, but I am so here for this. What's going on baby boy? :(
Also the failing speech patterns are just *Chef's kiss*
--
"Father!" Loki cries, coming up to the other side of the desk and slamming his hands against the surface. "I want a new brother!"
*rolls eyes fondly* oh my gosh you big dramatic baby.
---
It is hard to see Jotunheim in him when he's shy and stumbles over his words, but this? This is the culture he knows best. The one that Thor cannot keep if Odin is to make him king. If Thor is to recover from the years he spent as Laufey's.
I'm so annoyed with thim right now. A because MORE XENOPHOBIA AND LOKI IS STILL RIGHT THERE and b...dude. Thor has been there for like ONE WEEK. How is he supposed to have recovered by now???? And what does "recovered" even mean? That he acts more like Asgardians? LIke? Odin has put in zero (0) effort into helping Thor, but expects him to be all better anyway.
I'm just asdfkjas;dflkajs;df
---
Sir Utlison's gaze flicks up to him, almost as if guilty before admitting, lowly: "He's...reckless. Dangerous. You must know this, he is a tool that Laufey created. A intelligencer. Why do you believe he was sent with no escort?"
I am banging my head against a wall. A spy. Just SAY SPY. An EYE IS SOMETIMES JUST AN EYE.
---
Thor's eyes lose their anger, replaced with a tired defeat. "Fandral hit Loki hard enough to make him bleed. I hit him enough to make him regret it."
THOR. MY CHILD. MY BABY. YOU HAVE KNOWN LOKI THREE WEEKS AND YOU'RE ALREADY BEATING UP HIS BULLIES. <3
SOMEONE NEEDS TO BEAT UP YOURS NOW
---
Thor's head whips up and he jerks slightly, "Wait! Please! I lost control of my temper and I'm sorry, I swear on my honour I'm sorry, but please don't lock me in the room!"
Oh.
Oh.
Right. Forgot about that. Okay. Yeah.
---
"...yes. The King was never pleased with anything I did. He was always angry. Sometimes he'd hit me, but I was to small and fast. They were always making fun of me and I hated it. No one liked me, but they pretended they did. I tried to do the things that they wanted, but I was always cold, sick, and they hated me for it. The King—Laufey would punish me by throwing me in the room and I hated it. I didn't like dark. It was always cold, All-Father, and I just wanted to be warm."
You know. Isolation in the dark and cold is probably one of the worst long-term psychologically damaging things I can think of. Good job, Laufey, you messed up a perfectly good child.
---
Thor squeezes his eyes shut, "Fandral's gang of idiots. That's-that's why Loki hit him first. Then Fand-ral hit him back and called him the hiccup of the family and that he wouldn't underssstand because of that, and I was so angry. Loki's mean, but he's my brother. All-all of them hate me and they said that you do to and that you want to send me b-b-back."
I FORGOT ABOUT THAT TOO.
I literally love how in any reincarnation of them, Thor and Loki are still ride or die siblings. AND SOMEONE HIT THOR'S BULLY BACk!!!
(I DO NOT ENCOURAGE NOR CONDONE VIOLENCE)
---
Startled, but not surprised, Odin assigns Loki to the task as well to keep the four boys from strangling each other.
maybe, consider this, you could have an adult supervise them instead of an actual child, sir?
---
There's a book between their legs from where they're sitting on the floor and Loki points at something on the page.
"What's this letter?"
""E"?" Thor questions, looking up for confirmation.
Loki shakes his head, "No, that's "Æ", this is "E"." He points somewhere else on the book. Thor makes a little humming noise of agreement.
Odin's stomach jerks.
Thor never learned how to read from the Jotunns.
There's just something really really sweet to me about the idea of Loki putting together that Thor can't read and then going "well i guess I'm just going to fix that" and then Thor trusting him enough to let him help. I love these two so much.
---
Loki gives him a look, but it's softer this time, "Worry not," he reassures, releasing Thor's hand, "you should really think about drawing the Dejorunn Mountains, they're beautiful at this time of year. Sir Borison said that he was going to take my class up to see them, but Astrid slipped and got her dress all dirty and she cried for a long time, Brother, it was at least three minutes, and then Brosn fell down and broke his ankle so the trip was cancelled. Do you want to see them with me? Father said he would take me, but he's been busy and he might let us go if you ask—" no, he wouldn't, they're too dangerous. When they're older, maybe, "—and I would love to drink from the Waterfall of Kings. You would, too, I think."
Loki learning with Thor's anxiety and helping Thor with it and Thor letting him help and this 'verse is SO GOOD. I'm very proud of myself. I did a great job, lol.
I always think of this as like. The devil's fic. Like on my list of fics I hate this is below that. But it's actually really good??? like. Yeah it's got some rough spots and Odin is STILL horrible, but overall I would write a follow-up one-shot, which is kind of my basis on how much I hate something, XD
thank you so much for this ask. It gave me a little boost of confidence.

Since a lot of y’all loved the Magical Girl AU, I have an idea for another potential villain.
So I already established that Kerri works behind the scenes to help the team at their HQ/lair/whatever. She was never recruited to be a magical girl, but she wanted to help fight the villains that were harming the city.
What if she got interested in helping the magical girls because she was forced to watch her mom get corrupted?
So, villain Sasha, anyone?

Hi, could you please tell us where is Kiyomi and what are the Azumabitos doing in the clueless teens universe? I don’t remember her being mentioned at all!
Kiyomi lives in Hizuru! I think the only mention of her is in First Night At Home (the little spinoff drabble) when Mikasa is looking at how Eren arranged their closet and she notes the boxes containing the kimono Kiyomi gifted them. There is also mention of unnamed Azumabito cousins in the Clueless Teens chapter Eren Gets Hitched. Mikasa goes to her Baba's (Kasumi's mom) birthday dinner in the city with her family and they stay for the weekend to spend time with her Azumabito relatives.
I don't think I fully got into it in the fic, but it does get mentioned that her line of the Azumabito family has lived in Paradis for over a century to mimic how long they lived inside the walls in canon, and the rest of the family are in Hizuru. Of course, for Kiyomi to be Kasumi's first cousin on her father's side, at least one of the Paradis clan would have had to emigrate to Hizuru at some point (despite not speaking Hizuran anymore), but I don't think it's that outlandish for one or more of Jiji's siblings to decide to move to Hizuru as adults after the Paradisian Free States put them in internment camps during their alternate universe version of WW2 (all this history gets only barely touched on in the chapter Meet Me At the Meet, but I thought about it a lot while writing).
Also, I don't remember if I mentioned it in the fic (I didn't find anything when I checked), but my idea was that during their post-high school Hizuru trip, they'd be staying with members of Mikasa's Hizuran side of the family (Kiyomi, specifically).

I LOVE THE FIC TOO GIVE US A L L THE LORE PLEASE
I WILL. THANK YOU FOR THE OPPORTUNITY TO TALK ABOUT THIS FIC ♡
I put a lot of thought into the details in this fic, everything from Dai's jacket (it smells like coffee because he's been working as a barista; Arthur knows that Dai keeps a beaten carton of filters in the inner lining because as Arthur says in the text, these are the kinds of habits you notice when you spend time around the people you love) to the way Alasdair is dressed. This is one of those fics that exists very vividly in the back of my mind!
Although the circumstances that bring Arthur to the emergency room are tragically quite evident, Alasdair's circumstances I left a little vaguer. He's wearing a formal kilt because he's coming in fresh from a wedding or rather, the police station where he was booked after an altercation at a wedding. Arthur notes that his fingers are stained like someone took his prints and in fact someone did. It's also why he's covered in liquor stains and short a coat until later in the scene before they leave the hospital. Another relative had been there, holding down the fort until Alasdair was released. They had Alasdair's coat with them along with the medical power of attorney that grants him the authority to make decisions on his brother's (Sean's!) behalf.
Sean's injuries during the fight are partly what inspired the title as well. I added a link to the original post which gave a cohesive run down of what the Glasgow coma scale is but in summary it is the scale used to determine a person's level of consciousness, usually after suffering some kind of trauma. People don't usually go out light a light and stay in a coma; they slip into it gradually even after they have woken up from the initial period of unconsciousness. (Note as well that Alasdair held Sean as he faded in and out of consciousness, and did not know whether he'd even made it to the hospital alive because he was arrested shortly after the fight; it's why the full brunt of the events don't hit him until the morning after. He doesn't have time to process anything until then. I would also like to note that the reason why Arthur doesn't notice any bruises on him is because Alasdair only stepped in to break off the fight and was therefore released with no charges).
Another Easter egg about the title: if you pay close attention to how Arthur has periods of lucidity that become more lasting the longer he is exposed to an external stimulus (Alasdair touching his arm, his invitation to smoke, their stilted conversation) you might notice that it parallels or well pays homage to the stages described by the scale. He is also Dai's only living relative so all arrangements and responsibilities fall to him. An unfortunate reality is that after a death, accidental or not, it's the families and friends who have to take care of any cleaning. It's why they spend so long in Dai's flat despite it being the last place on Earth Arthur wanted to be in in that moment. For personal reasons I don't like shying away from details like that or glossing them over. Other details though I think are best left unsaid.
Some more details to finish this off on a lighter note. Alasdair lives in a Leith (Edinburgh) tenement near the docks, hence the mention of sandstone. Edinburgh is in fact six hours by train from Gillingham, Kent. Arthur though technically lives in Chatham and is paying his way through uni. Six was Dai's lucky number and in an early draft I'd added a casual mention that it had taken Arthur and Alasdair six months to decide that aye, they were in love. It's another six months on top of that before Arthur finishes his degree and moves in with him. I mentioned it in the tags but it is actually illegal to smoke anywhere within 15 meters of an NHS hospital building so if Arthur describes the the building as something that appears to be far away it is not only his dissociating colouring his perception; they really are far from the building, Alasdair walked them to a bin out by the curve. He doesn't like littering. Dai's filters come in a yellow carton because they're Swans (a brand) and Alasdair hand-rolls his smokes because it is more common here in Scotland to see people carrying loose tobacco than it is to see them packing pre-rolls. It's cheaper. Alasdair is out of filters because he has thick fingers and dropped a fair few. He also is very genuinely trying to quit (and as we see in the story he does eventually!) so he saw no sense in buying a whole lot of filters for the amount of tobacco he had left.
Lastly, something I don't have an answer to: why did Alasdair choose to sit next to Arthur?
Maybe because a part of him was looking for pieces of his brother in the people around him and saw the ghost of him in the denim jacket Arthur was wearing. It is something Sean would wear and part of me wanted to give something for Sean and Dai to share despite the fact that, in this story, they will never meet.

fic lore: forced proximity (snowed in fic)
during the flashback to the dinner where they first met, a scene got cut where Pat and Cap go out for some air separately. The Captain is stand-offish and a little rude for reasons Pat can't decipher (👀) and is also thoroughly offended by Pat's misunderstanding that Cap and Humphrey are dating (!)
i have been tempted to flesh this idea out and write it as a little additional fic, or maybe several ("reasons Pat should have known Cap liked him" or such like).
bare bones of what was cut:

for the fanfic ask game, i'd love to hear how you landed on the very last line of 'make this inn our own' - "Two roads diverged, and he had finally found his way back to the path he was supposed to be on."
i feel like it can be extra tough figuring out the final words, especially in a longer fic! 💙
ooh vio thank you!! and you're TOTALLY right, I struggle a lot on final words and honestly endings in general because I want them to land just right.
prepare for ummm way too long of an answer which involves a deep reading of a robert frost poem, oops? but you caught one of my central themes of the whole fic so of course I'm going to ramble.
spoilers ahead for make this inn our own!
the theme of two roads diverging started for me at the very top of the fic. I was thinking about Steve, and about the fact that this fic at it's whole is kind of my interpretation of what would have happened without him, in seasons three and four. and I couldn't stop thinking about the robert frost poem "the road not taken", which obviously comes up throughout the fic.
the first time we hear steve reference it is in chapter five (aptly named "two roads diverged"), after spending the day with dustin, with this passage:
He was having that feeling again. Not quite deja vu, but… the feeling that his life had diverged, two roads, and he’d taken the safe one. The brightly lit, clear path. The life his dad had wanted for him. The obvious choice. But the other road—dark, less well trod—he felt the ache of it, the regret of not taking it. Something in his brain screamed that there was a poem just like it, two roads in a yellow wood, but he had never had the brain for poetry and he couldn’t remember it if he tried. Two roads and Steve picked the easy one, the safe path, pavement and nepotism. But here, in Hawkins, looking down that other road… He wondered, and not for the first time, if he’d ever not regret his decision.
Steve doesn't really remember the poem well, but he knows he's heard it (likely in school), and he thinks it fits his situation. of course, we as the reader know he didn't really have the choice in the way he thinks he did, but for steve it's the moment when he realizes like, oh shit. I could have stayed, I could have been part of the party, maybe I could have helped.
the sentiment comes up again in chapter seven ("the letters"):
Maybe if Steve had come around more. Maybe if he hadn’t— Steve broke, truly that time, letting the sobs pull him under and away. Finally, for the first time in his life, he let them come, hard and painful, as he cried for the life he could have had. Two roads diverged, and he had chosen wrong.
Steve is sitting at the point where he realizes why the path was chosen for him, why Richard made him leave Hawkins and his life behind, and in this moment he knows for sure that the other path would have been better for him (again, us as the readers remember what actually happened in season four, so in my mind steve really dodged a bullet here, but...).
we see the poem come up again in chapter thirteen, with the letter Otis leaves to Steve:
And: I can only hope that one day you’ll know a love as strong as mine and Tony’s. One day you’ll step back and look at what you have in the world, your family, your belongings, the path of your life, and you’ll see a choice to take. And I can only hope that when you’re faced with that choice, you make the decision that is the most right for you. One of my favourite poets, Robert Frost, has a very famous poem. It ends as such: Two roads diverged in a yellow wood, and I— I took the one less travelled by, And that has made all the difference. I see this poem, Steve, as a map for life. When you are one day faced with this choice, when you’re staring ahead at yourself and you can see one path, a path that is perhaps easier, and may please more people, and may make life run smooth and sure, and a second path that is less well trod, less well understood, but that you think may lead to your happiness? My recommendation, and you may take it with a grain of salt, is to make your own path through the wood. Dark and scary it may seem, but if you are with the ones you love, the ones who truly love you back, you will never regret it for a second.
And this does a few things for us, at this point in the fic. First of all it's another point of connection between Otis and Steve. Another reminder of how similar they are as men, and a way for Steve to see yet again that he has this connection to his family he never thought possible. Otis is a sap at heart (we already know of his love for Oscar Wilde) and I can see him reading this poem and feeling it ring true in his own life. He took the safer road, of Margite, and likely spent many years wondering if he had chosen right, or should have taken the more difficult path.
It's also another way for us as the readers to get a sense of what Steve is thinking through someone else's eyes. Otis tells Steve not that he should take the safe easy path, or the hard one either, but to make his own path through the woods. To be his own man, and not allow the pressure of the external world influence how he decides to live his like.
But ultimately, the thing I love about this poem is (and I suspect Otis would have known this too): it was written as a joke. Frost says it right in the poem that actually the roads are basically worn down about the same - neither is "less traveled" in a way that makes a meaningful difference: "Though as for that the passing there / Had worn them really about the same".
And that's because choice, here and in much of life, is both an illusion and an impulse. Steve had no choice on the road he took, for those first few years. He says it himself - he was 18 with no money, no house, no support (that he knew of), what was he supposed to do? And yet still he stands looking back on his life and wonders if he could have done things differently. But the reality is: even if he had been free to make the choice, how can any of us know if we've made the right one? For Frost, his traveler chose 'right', "and that has made all the difference". But the reality is, either road, either choice, would hopefully have led to a good life. I could have skipped a party at 18 and I would be an entirely different person today, but not a lesser one, or a worse one. But where I sit now, I made the right "choice", even though the choices we make are never long enough to see their results.
But ultimately, at the story end and the line you chose, we reach an end:
Two roads diverged, and he had finally found his way back to the path he was supposed to be on.
Steve has gone from wondering, to doubting, to knowing where he's meant to be. The roads had diverged, but Steve no longer laments that he has "chosen wrong". Because if he had stayed on the first road (the road of the show, perhaps), he may not be where he is in this moment, with Chrissy and Ness and Eddie at his side. But instead, he followed Otis's advice, and carved his own way through the forest, and here has landed exactly where he was supposed to be: home.
Thank you for letting me ramble! I loved getting to do this deep dive.

you may have address this already (and i apologize if you have), but im reading stygian for the first time and have to ask: in the scene where cap has a panic attack over the cold water and everyone shares their trauma (chapter 7 i believe), thor refers to gungnir. i was just wondering what that is referencing and if there is any lore you created in regards to that?
No I have not. I didn't really DO a super deep lore dive with Stygian like I have with other fics, so I will explain this with two separate screen shots:
From STYGIAN
Tumblr media
From UNWEAVE:
Tumblr media
I will say this. I think that the abuse that Loki and Thor suffered from Odin's hands was very different because every child is parented by differently from their kids. The severe emotional neglect and abuse that Loki suffered is almost incomprehensible, but that doesn't mean that Thor's childhood was all sunshine and daisies.
I think that they were both neglected emotionally but in very different ways.
Thor's first instinct is usually to react with violence, and I think that's because he saw Odin do the same thing with him or Loki over and over again. Gradually he began to see it as normal and even acceptable. My man flips over an entire table in frustration and Loki doesn't even blink. Odin and Thor are constantly getting into arguments and Loki just looks mildly annoyed. This is normal. Odin tells Thor that he's going to let all the Asgardians die and Thor doesn't seem surprised.
Odin banishes Thor for disobeying him. He doesn't strike me as the type of person who would be above hitting his kids. And neither Loki OR thor are people who would talk about that.
I will never not be angry at Odin for what he did to Loki, but I will ALSO never not be angry about what Odin did to Thor.

As promised, here's the Magical Girl AU character outfit descriptions and their weapons/powers. Also, the magical girls have different looks in their human forms, as it’s tied into the main plot of the whole AU. (This AU is kinda a mix of Madoka Magica and Magical Girl Raising Project, but not as dark lol)
Camden: (Similar to her TuTu Much runway) Ballet themed, it’s a baby pink outfit, with long silk ribbons that she uses as weapons/grappling into high buildings (like Spider-Man) she also has pink hair that’s in a neat bun.
Jasmine: (The only similar inspo I can find is her reunion outfit, or Cranberry from Magical Girl Raising Project) Flower petal themed, it’s a light orange outfit, with a long skirt that’s cut into five long pieces (like petals on a flower) She has a huge spinning flower that she uses as a weapon, and she can also ride it to higher places, but only in short increments. She has long, straight, ginger hair.
Daya: (Similar to her Finale performance outfit) Dragonfly themed, she has wings like a dragonfly, that allow her to fly really fast. Her outfit is a mix of black and dark green, and designed more like a catsuit to allow for fast flying. She has black hair that’s in spiked space buns.
Bosco: (Similar to Kano’s outfit in Magical Girl Raising Project) Bat themed outfit, she has bat wings that expand with her arms. Unlike Daya, she’s able to fly at night and is able to see at night. Her outfit is black and red, and she has bright red hair in a bob.
Willow: (Similar to her Holy Couture runway) Red Mushroom themed, but in the silhouette like Madoka from Madoka Magica. She has a long staff with a big red mushroom cap on top as a weapon. She has shoulder length white hair.
And I honestly do not remember anything I made for Angeria. I think it might of been money themed, but I don’t think I got any further than that. So if anyone has any ideas for Angie, please let me know!
Hopefully I did descriptions of the outfits/weapons pretty well for y’all. I adore this AU so much since magical girl anime is one of my favorite genres. Also, if anyone wants more info on other characters (like potential witches or villains) or other lore like how they transform/get recruited/whatever, please let me know!

Several people in my latest fic indicate they believe Knuckles sleeps in the woods fairly often, but he presumably just picked up from Carl if he pretends he doesn’t have a permanent address he won’t be entered “into the system”

Lore Time for Junoverse Pokemon
So I've been thinking about this for a while and like lol going to just say somethings here for the Lore and Worldbuilding aspects of my Junoverse Pokemon AU
In the Outer Rim pokeballs, potions, TMs, and anything like that is extremally expensive. Meaning on planets like Brahma and Ranga the price of them are astronomical even decades after the war. Which means most people there do not have pokemon in pokeballs simply that they live with them by their side. It also means during the war that most people didn't have a way to fight the Solar Military with their pokemon that were by their side, and not all of them willingly. All those items are things that Jet would have been smuggling into the Outer Rim during the war.
In the Solar Regions on the other hand all those items are as cheep as they are in the games if not cheaper. Pokeballs only cost like 2 creds or less. Children have their own pokemon in pokeballs that they bought using their pocket money. Children are able to raise their pokemon and they willingly fight by their side. They are able to teach them special moves from TMs because they don't cost an arm and a leg. So their military has the upper hand over not only in conventual weapons like blasters and such but pokemon.
There is also a differences on the types of Pokemon found in both places, in the Outer Rim it is mostly pokemon that could survive on that planet, each one only have the pokemon that can survive due to the lack of ownership of pokemon. In the Solar region though there are many species of pokemon that wouldn't survive on that planet due to the high amount of pokemon ownership and their for breading. For example on a desert planet such as Mars has water and grass type pokemon that would normally rely on high amounts of water to survive still live there in abundance in the cities. Ranga on the other hand only has pokemon that could survive in the swamps. meaning there aren't any fire types in mass to speak of there.
