been trying to think of a reason that would motivate Yen to pretty extreme lengths in order to get a certain type of ingredient (& it can’t be to save someone important to her because there can’t be a time crunch) and I didn’t really want to do a fertility cure but given that that’s the thing that made her go want to fight a fucking dragon I think that’s the one I have to go with

yanno I would say I have no idea how I currently have two oviposition fics in progress when I don’t have an ovi kink but I do in fact know exactly how it happened and it’s. well, it’s funny how predictable I am, is what it is, lmfao. I started Aedeagus after reading a fic where the yenbert oviposition was roleplay, and I was like “oh fun! …but what would it be like if she actually made him fuck an insectoid,” and I started sasveth eggs after reading a sasveth oviposition fic where… the anatomy is wildly suspect, is what it is, from the worrying implication that the writer doesn’t know about cervixes to the wanton conflation of hemipenes and ovipositors (I sure do have some Thoughts about this!!). unsurprisingly it turns out the fastest way to get me to write weird xeno fic is to accidentally pull my non-mammalian reproduction is fascinating and I have Opinions about it trigger!

the yenbert ovi roleplay is good though. i have no beef with its accuracy & just wanted to do an icky science version. if you like ovi for sexy reasons instead of science reasons definitely read that one 💕

HAHAHA thank you anon given the somewhat unreasonable amount of worldbuilding I have put into the reproductive habits of the insectoid I made up specifically for this fic I am glad someone is going to be reading it just for the interest in monster sexual reproduction

#they’re called ichneumonae (ichneumon singular) and they’re parasitoids that target arachasae and i LOVE THEM 💕 #harmless to humans & rarely encountered; adults are fungivorous (fungi-eaters) and highly cryptic (camouflaged) #but since parasitoid reproduction kills the host they provide a significant check on arachasae populations #they’re not going to kill Lambert of course.
