❝ A Nightmarish Pair ❞

(Headcanon scenario below)

Anisa: ❝Cain…?❞

The Astrolabe’s staff clinks as I rest it on the ground. With a hand at my side, I lean back on it. Anisa and Felix squirm uncomfortably when I smile.

Cain: ❝Anisa, Felix… it’s been a while.❞

Felix: ❝We thought you——!❞

His words falter, but there’s no need for him to finish his sentence. I understand. So much happened after Sage and I vanished in the aftermath of battle with the Lord of Shadows.

Just as I consider a simple explanation, I hear a deep growl behind me. It doesn’t upset me. Though the way their faces contort with distress births a giddy feeling between my ribs.

Sage emerges from the shadows. His corruption spills through the room in black tendrils and a flashing rage.

He lost the ability to properly communicate long ago, so everything he manages as he watches them from over my shoulder, is a rumbling snarl.

Sage: ❝Hrrgh…❞

Cain: ❝Sage… I brought him along. I thought you’d miss him.❞

Ending Headcanons

(Side note: I’ll be using “Cain” for the MC’s name for smoother writing. Also, I’m basing myself off theories I have about the latest chapter we were left with *sob*)

Sage is unable to return to himself after going off on the Lord of Shadows

Cain is the only one capable of “taming” Corrupt!Sage (The fact that Corrupt!Sage has his braid back is a detail I added to point out that Cain can get close to him and touch him without worrying for his safety)

They disappear for years, leaving the rest to believe they perished in battle

It isn’t until they run into the rest of the group, that they discover what truly happened that day

Cain has kept Sage alive, away from the public, and only recently traveled back with him in tow

It’s very clear that Cain also isn’t all that there mentally anymore

Sage no longer acts like a person much, but like a beast, only listening to orders that come from Cain

SAGE X READER, STAY

Author's Note: Hi!! Idk if i posted this but here u go @pugwitharug enjoy the fic :D 💜💕💜

You laid in bed. It was long past dawn, the sun had risen up. The weak rays of sun threatented to enter your room as the closed curtains blocked them. Sunlight may have been nice, but it was not nice today. Or have been for the past few weeks for honesty. That being said, the shift in your behavious didn’t go unnoticed by the remaining starsworn. Concern grew in them bit by bit for they knew the times you were happier. This was certaintly not one of them. If anyone were to be affected more than the rest about your demotivated self, it was Sage. After everything you have done for him, he didn’t think of you any less than his world. You were the beacon of light he tried to find in his darkest moments and in the hardest of situations.

“MC?” Sage walked in to your room, not minding knocking. There you laid on the soft mattress, hair a mess an eyes tired. He wondered if you had gotten any sleep to begin with. He tried to think of a joke to make you perhaps lighten up a little. Shutting the idea in an instant, he realized the situation was too...delicate for him to crack a joke. “Ah, what did they do when I was sad?” he tried to remember. The first thing that came to his mind was simple: stay. Like you always did. Though thick and thin. And this was your thick, and his turn to stay. He strided rather shyly towards your bed. Sitting on the edge with his eyes on you. “Hey.” he said. It was calm. You nodded in response, sighing shortly after. You turned on your arm, giving him space if he had decided to lay down with him. He always did. And it seemed like this time was no exception.

He lied down there, right beside you, spooning you. “What’s up?” “Well,” you began, finding it hard to even speak. Today was a whole new tired day. Sage tried to remember again How did you usually cheer him up? He kissed you on the cheek. “Hey, things are tough for you right now and I get it. I really do. You were there for me at my worst. So the least I can do is...hmm.” Sage cut himself up. Seeming to think for a while. Suddenly, he got up and out of your room. You only watched. Pulling your warm blanket over yourself. Minutes passed and Sage came with… a tray? You were a little confused, so you sat up on your bed. Sage placed the tray on your bed.

“Is that bacon?” You asked. It wasn’t just bacon but aslo some pancakes too. Though they were a little burnt. It seemed Sage was better at cooking meat reather than baking. He also put down a cup of water. You looked at him. Such acts from him seemed so unusual of him. “I remember your food making me feel a bit better. Though I cannot cook as good as you, I...attempted something.” Sage hesitated while speaking. It wasn’t much of a breakfast perhaps, but you still considered it to be morning. “Well, I am not too good with words. As you might know-” Sage began “Thank you.” you cut him off. Pulling him in and hugging him from where you sat. “I know it’s hard. World is unfair for hurting you. I would’ve gotten your entire pain for myself if I had the chance. You are family to me and though I am not the best support, I’ll stay.” Sage hugged you back as you cried onto his unarmoured shoulder. He didn’t even shift. He was thankful he could even be beside you. And though he had admitted he was foreign to a healthy treatment of sadness, he learned it all from you. How to love, how to be patient, how to support people for good. He was thankful he had met you and he was thankful that he ever had the chance to love you. For he too was not foreign to pain and sadness. He held you and carassed your hair, slowly breathing as he shifted to lay with you again. So there he was, you in his arms and him humming a shanty. Perhaps not a joyful one, yet his voice soothed you a lot. “Listen, I love you. And I will stay with you through everything you hear me? I’ll fight whoever there is to fight, I’ll wait no matter how long you need me to.” He said. Kissing you on the forehead. “Now let’s eat a little.” “Ok fine.” you mumbled, reaching for the glass of water first, then to the bacon. Well, better start the day then.

Hey, just wondering, do you know what's going on with Fictif, Last Legacy. I've been a bit out of the community lately, being preoccupied with school work and other outside of school curriculum's, but I've been checking in with the app to see if they've finally released a new chapter for Sage's route and still nothing, I'm very confused, it's been months, I knew their releases could take a while but it feels like it's been over a year since I've heard anything, do you know what's going on?

Ah, sorry to be the one to tell you but they're on indefinite hiatus aka never going to update again. Nix Hydra was bought out by another company and the creative team behind Last Legacy all quit for better opportunities. Even Dorian, the new owner, seems to have ignored any fictif stories over using the Arcana for their fanfic app

A Night To Remember

Yes I did name it after Laufeys & beabadoobees song | Also I’m aware this is painfully similar to the last chapter but I couldn’t find any better event in the timeline to apply this scenario

It wasn’t a particularly good night, I mean so much chaos had happened.

Not only did Felix not have the ability to do magic anymore, but his father just made it worse.

Luckily he wasn’t as bad but his presence was still insufferable to both you and Felix. Not to mention the obvious disgust Felix would paint on his face whenever he’d see his father, mostly because of how close he was to killing you.

You opened the door to his room with a creak, studying everything you could became a nightly routine. You could tell how exhausted Felix was, especially since it’s barely been 2 days since the events had conspired.

“Hey” you sat down next to Felix, who was slumped down on the ground with his head hung in between his knees.

He grumbled but ultimately lifted his head and let out a sigh,” what is it?”

“Why don’t we stop for today? “ he immediately jolted “-and before you can protest, I’m tired and I’d rather have you there with me..ok?” You knew he’d most likely reject the idea of giving up if you weren’t the reason.

You could tell he was thinking of a smart retort before his shoulders slumped and he just nodded in defeat.

You couldn’t help the smile that spread across your face and you hugged Felix in gratitude to his compliance.

You and Felix ended up settled in bed, and although this was initially your idea… it was admittedly kinda awkward since you weren’t exactly sleepy anymore.

Felix’s sudden outburst of laughter brought you out of your thoughts. “What? What are you laughing at?” You said almost pouting.

“No, nothing at all but the fact that you brought me here without any other thought to what we’d do next, it’s almost like… you wanted me for something.” You could sense Felix’s flirty teasing from a mile away and you honestly couldn’t help but indulge.

“Annnnd what if I did? What then?” You leaned in and as fast as Felix’s bold side slept out, it seemed to disappear.

A blush instantly took its spot across his face and now it was your turn to laugh. Despite this fun moment, things returned back to that awkward silence that you hated so much.

And as did that expression on Felix’s face, the expression that told you everything you needed to know. You instantly reached and cradled Felix’s head into your arms. You felt his entire body tense but eventually fill with ease.

“I know it’s difficult for you now that you got stripped of your magic” he let out a laugh and something you only managed to hear because of your close proximity, “yes, I’ve noticed.”

It wasn’t rare for Felix to retort with passive aggressive comments nowadays but it didn’t stop you from feeling just a little bit hurt.

You leaned away from Felix so that you could see his face. Obvious regret on his face and eventually he just sighed and looked at you face on.

“I-I’m sorry, I know Im being difficult even if I don’t mean to” his eyebrows furrowed and he looked anywhere but you.

“im… being a brat” he pauses and almost lets out a bitter laugh “I’d understand if you left with zero interest in me anymore.”

This genuinely shocked you “Felix..” your face obviously portraying how you felt you decided to just give Felix the biggest hug ever, at that he let out a surprised whimper.

His arms reached toward your back and returned the hug, but as soon as you hugged him you put distance to look straight at him.

“Felix, I never will get tired of you, or leave, or just go anywhere else. I mean you practically had one of the things that makes up your identity ripped from you- I…I love you too much to let you go…”

You refused to look at him, I mean you just directly professed your love for him! You could clearly see the shock and flush in Felix’s face in your peripheral vision.

“Mc…” before he buried his head in your chest you could distinctly see his bottom lip wobble, even if just a little.

He hugged you in a way that you couldn’t see his face, just so his lips would hover over your ear.

…

“I love you too”

it was a whisper if anything, and you could hear the wobble in it but you loved it all the same.

It came from Felix after all

You began laughing in giddiness and pulled away to attack Felix’s face with seemingly endless kisses.

“M-mc! What are you doing-mnph-“ you abruptly kissed him on his lips and whether if it was to shut him up or to show him you loved him, he’d never know.

You completely dominated the kiss and when you separated, initially to your dismay, Felix then wrapped his hands around your neck and pulled you down. He kissed your nose, cheek, and forehead and lastly your lips.

His cheeks were ablaze but that didn’t stop his boldness

“I’m glad to have you as my partner, mc” he was obviously beyond coherent and his face was hot to the touch but he was still so sweet.

“Me too Felix, even more so than you” you said without thinking. Felix snorted and in usual fashion retorted “well…. I love you most”.

The rest of the night was spent with you tickling, spilling secrets and just lazily kissing. In the end though, you fell asleep with Felix in your arms and he slept as happily and secure more than he ever has.

Rime Route Update (I'm back!)

Sorry for the unannounced hiatus I was sick three times in a row in November and had exams. Then was celebrating the holidays and recovering. And after the new year started classes. Instead, I finally finished the second part of the rough draft for the Rime route prologue. It's not much but I might do a rewrite later after I finish the prologue. Got a weird fantasy about what's going to happen in Sage's new chapter next year (damn, this sounds sad! But still) So we go to see Tulsi in her forest hideout and find there Elowen. She probably guards Tulsi and the new mobile version of her shop. May be Elowen hunts for food also and Tulsi cooks on fire. And probably they patch one another's wounds like it's the most normal and regular thing.

Those two are not dating yet, but there's obviously some very special kind of tension between them. And for sure they both deny it furiously. And blush.

And when they see you they both look relieved. And then they change strange looks and Tulsi grimases and murmurs something like 'ok, ok you win' and gives Elowen some money. And you figure out they made a bet nd you even see Tulsi's ashamed a little, but you can never make them tell what exactly they were betting about. It's rather if you're alive or if you're coming back. But they wan't tell no matter what 😼😼😼
