We have a lot of exciting new products planned for 2024!
Part of getting new products involves us sitting down and figuring out which products we want to continue stocking.
With that in mind, we have a clearance section! Everything in here will not be re-stocked. There are some amazing deals in the clearance section as we are selling some items at a loss to try and clear space as well as recoup some costs to purchase the new products.
There are an abundance of fidget earrings that are being discontinued, as well as one of our spinner rings. There are also various other items. Please check it out and thank you to all of you for helping make 2023 a successful second year for our business!
FlappyHappy is a stim toy business run by autistics. Our goal is to make stim items more accessible and affordable to those who need them. Please consider signal boosting our posts to help get the word out!

My Dad knows I've had a tough week, so he took me to @aldispecialbuysuk so I could raid the #Halloween section. It's #gothmas and I love it. . I also got a #ghost silicone spoon for stirring my food. I think it's adorable that #dracula here turns into a #bat. The popper/#fidgettoys was only £2.50 GBP and they had more than one type. . I also LOVE #candles so much, I really find them relaxing, and they do actually help warm a room. So that's pretty great. The #tissues also have a tab, so you could replace it with a toilet roll later too. . . . . . . . . #gothchristmas #halloweendecor #halloweenlover #plushie #plushtoy #toylovers #toycollecting #toylove #plushielife #plushieslife #toy #toys #aldifinds #aldispecialbuys (at Manchester, United Kingdom) https://www.instagram.com/p/CjNd4-wKhjx/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=

Would Vulcans find begleri useful? Would Vulcans find fidget toys any sort of logical?
Anyway, my new favorite toy. Not just begleri, these are aluminum ThumbChucks, $33 from JimpyDesignsEDC on Etsy.
Buy your fidget toys from makers on Etsy, not the cheap Chinese stuff you can get on Amazon.

Empowering Independence: Cultivating Self-Feeding Skills in Your Children for a Lifetime of Healthy Habits
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Empowering independence in children and cultivating self-feeding skills are crucial aspects of their overall development. Teaching children to take responsibility for their nutrition not only promotes healthy habits but also instills important life skills.
Here are some tips to help you encourage self-feeding skills in your children:
1. Start Early:
a. Introduce solid foods at an appropriate age, usually around six months, as recommended by healthcare professionals.
b. Begin with simple, age-appropriate finger foods to encourage self-feeding from the start.
2. Provide a Variety of Foods:
a. Offer a diverse range of nutritious foods to expose your child to different tastes and textures.
b. Incorporate fruits, vegetables, whole grains, and lean proteins into their meals.
3. Model Healthy Eating Habits:
a. Children learn by observing, so make sure to model positive eating behaviors. Eat a variety of nutritious foods and demonstrate proper table manners.
b. Avoid using food as a reward or punishment, as this can create unhealthy associations.
4. Create a Positive Eating Environment:
a. Establish a pleasant and relaxed atmosphere during meal times.
b. Minimize distractions such as TV or electronic devices and encourage conversation.
5. Involve Them in Meal Preparation:
a. Include your children in age-appropriate meal preparation activities. This not only teaches them about food but also gives them a sense of accomplishment.
b. Allow them to choose healthy options and participate in grocery shopping.
5. Use Child-Friendly Utensils:
a. Provide child-sized utensils and dishes that are easy for them to handle.
b. Gradually introduce the use of forks, spoons, and cups as they develop fine motor skills.
6. Encourage Self-Serving:
a. Allow your child to serve themselves, even if it means a mess at first. This helps develop motor skills and a sense of independence.
b. Offer guidance on portion sizes to promote a balanced diet.
7. Be Patient and Supportive:
a. Understand that learning self-feeding skills is a process that takes time. Be patient and offer support as needed.
b. Praise their efforts and successes to boost their confidence.
8. Teach Basic Kitchen Safety:
a. As your child becomes more involved in the kitchen, teach them basic safety rules, such as using oven mitts, handling knives safely, and being aware of hot surfaces.
10. Gradual Transition to Independence:
a. Allow your child to take on more responsibility as they grow. Gradually transition from feeding assistance to independent eating.
b. Encourage them to prepare simple snacks and meals as they become more capable.
Remember that every child is unique, and the pace of development may vary. By fostering independence and self-feeding skills, you equip your children with valuable tools for a lifetime of healthy habits and responsible choices.
