here's something I've been working on for a while! a drawing of Peter running, commissioned by @fuesch. And if you zoom in on the Walkman, I put my username where the Walkman model name goes :D

other versions (with different backgrounds and no speed blur) below the cut!

I did dark blue because I just felt like that made sense, and then decided to do a yellow background because a) it matches his Walkman and b) when you put it next to the version with the dark blue background, it's x-men colors!

the dark purple is just for fun--not much reason behind it besides me thinking it's a fun color, although my brain sees purple + quicksilver and thinks about the Agatha spin-off and whether he'll be in it xD

I did a light greyish-blue since doing a pure grey background just felt too grey when combined with his clothes.

Fanfic/Fanart Creation Network

Hey everyone! @xmcu-fietro here representing @silver-goggles-guild. Below is some info about how to participate in the Quicksilver fanfic/art accountability network. This would be a way for fans to track their fic/art progress and encourage each other to create things.

Originally the plan was to use Pacemaker, but we ran into some issues with it. Because of that, we’re using two methods to track fanwork progress: a NaNoWriMo Group and a Google spreadsheet. You can use one or both, depending on your preference.

NaNoWriMo Group

The NaNoWriMo group is more thorough than the Google spreadsheet in that NaNoWriMo allows people to track their progress on a graph, has badges for different achievements, and tracks total word count across all projects. The group also has a chat feature. (more info here on what a writing group is).

To join the NaNoWriMo group, simply create a NaNoWriMo account (it's free) and either send @silver-goggles-guild a message or comment under this post ("hey, I'm [your NaNoWriMo username], can you add me to the fanwork group?"). You will then be added to the group, but please be patient as this week and next are very busy for me and it may take a few days.

Google Spreadsheet

The Google spreadsheet (linked below) is a very basic way to track your fanwork progress and is better than NaNoWriMo for tracking non-writing projects. It allows you to put your tumblr and/or ao3 username, your project(s), and your progress (the spreadsheet shows an example of how to use it). Note that whichever Google account you use to put your info in will appear in the spreadsheet, so if you prefer to remain anonymous, I'd recommend creating an email specifically for fandom stuff.

@silver-goggles-guild prompt #5: the dark side

“And then one day you find/ten years have got behind you/no one told you when to run/you missed the starting gun.”

Was originally going to do this prompt as villain!Peter Maximoff and then @fuesch pointed out that Peter likes Pink Floyd and they have the album The Dark Side of the Moon, so I ended up drawing this inspired by the album cover. I bought pens that were too thin to cover the background well and then my white pen (for the lyrics) started dying on me, so we’re gonna pretend that the messiness is actually a stylistic choice and not me being bad at art xD

(if you’re like “hey, haven’t I seen this post before?--yeah, sorry about that. I deleted the original post because there were a couple things in the drawing that were just really bugging me and I figured only four people saw it anyway so I could change it. I’m honestly still not totally satisfied with it but *shrugs*).

here’s the 80s-Jason-Bateman-photoshoot inspired drawing of Peter I mentioned a while back. I don't know why but the random "WOW!" was just really funny to me when I first found the original photoshoot, so I thought it'd be fun to draw Peter with it xD

Also, I'm planning to sell stuff on Redbubble soon and I'll probably have this as a sticker!

(I'm not sure if this will get blurry when I post it, so if it's blurry try clicking on it and I think that should fix it? Also, the colors will be off if you have a blue light filter on)

notes:

I drew this with warmer/more saturated colors but when I saved the drawing the colors washed out a ton--apparently it happens sometimes with firealpaca (the drawing program I use). RIP. So I'm not super happy with that. Just pretend the colors are more intense I guess xD

Peter's wearing the shirt he wears as Ralph in the wandavision finale! Well, kind of. I wanted to reference that just cuz' but when I drew the sun graphic on the front it made the drawing feel too cluttered, so I just kept it as plain ole tie-dye. 

ignore the hand. we do not speak of the hand. thank goodness his other hand is in his pocket so I didn't have to draw TWO hands. 

I included his nose freckle! I know sometimes the makeup dept. covers it but I think it's a fun feature, and “is this fun?” was basically my criteria while drawing this for figuring out what stays and what goes xD

Peter's hair is too fun to draw. I honestly probably should have left it more plain like how the rest of the drawing doesn't have much shading but I just felt like it. His hair in this lowkey reminds me of LEGO hair and I found that funny so I was like "what the heck, just keep it in"

I was watching wandavision and assorted (Peter-including) scenes from xmen movies with my little sister and she saw that I was drawing quicksilver art for @silver-goggles-guild so she decided to draw me quicksilver art (basically a small card that says “QUICKSILVER” multiple times with lightning bolts and a heart next to it xD) and I’m just like?? That is so dang adorable??
