I made it just in time! My contribution for AAPI month: Immy in a Filipiniana inspired by gumamela (hibiscus)
it’s not the Philippines’ national flower, but it’s nostalgic to me as it was the flower that grew in front of my childhood home before we immigrated to the US. I thought the petals would make a beautiful skirt

2nd half of the dare. I get to draw these girls this time. From the 'Thea Stilton' spin-off series. I really like these girls, and their books, despite me being a guy. Wouldn't lie if I said I'm kinda attracted to one of them. Not saying who.
So yeah, for this half, I get to draw these girls if they were wearing some fashionable Filipiniana styles. Maybe they're at the Philippines for a formal event or a fiesta. And maybe they'll have an adventure there as well.
Like the previous pic, designing these were hard. But I suppose I managed to make the best of it. And yes, I used a photo for the bg this time. Because I get to be lazy on that end for once.
Hope you guys like!

I think this is the first time I saw papa made a Filipiniana for his client. I am still amazed as his son.

Self-portrait in Traditional Dress
The dress is called baro't saya, literally "shirt and skirt". The figure may seem out of proportion, but it's not a mistake: I am obese but approximately 4'5" in height.
