The Gods of Hetaveyond: 10 Facts About Photia 🐦
A.K.A. The Sun Goddess, The Founder (of Civilization), Lady of Light, etc.
After the introduction of Diadema, here is her mentor and fellow goddess, Photia— because how can you have a moon deity without another that presides over the sun?
1. Photia is the leader of the pantheon, though not the oldest or most worshipped god.
2. Photia is allowed two magical gifts due to her status, of which she has chosen to grant sword singing and sorcery to promising mortals.
3. Photia’s way of distributing her gifts inadvertently birthed a classist society within her continent of Illiosa; while the gifted ones flourish, the non-gifted struggle to make a name for themselves.
4. Photia only allows herself to be seen if her presence is truly necessary, as she thinks it dangerous to have mortals gaze upon her too often.
5. Photia has granted the leaders of Illiosa special authority, allowing them to summon their goddess directly. However, only the monarchs of Tōnichi have been known to exercise such power.
6. Photia had a “younger sister” named Tefna, who spawned vampiric entities where the Founder’s light does not shine.
7. Photia requested the creation of the moon, as Tefna’s influence could only be suppressed by light. The “Vampire Queen” had not been seen since Diadema released her magnum opus— a massive, multifaceted lamp— into the night sky.
8. The only thing rarer than Photia’s own presence is her gigantic, fiery wings. Said to radiate heat comparable to that of the sun’s rays itself, evidence of such wings now remain only in ancient murals and statues composed in her likeness.
9. Besides Illiosans, Photia is also worshipped by the elves of Phantasmia, some of whom even desire to become sword singers.
10. Photia is based on the pioneer of Aveyond x Hetalia, @levijonescc! 🩵🤍
