@Maurice Fandom: While we’re at Wilbury and Crichel, you need to know that Kit Hesketh Harvey (1957–2023) actually wrote an obituary for Maria Britneva/Maria St Just (1921–1994) – the owner of Wilbury Park / Maurice’s Pendersleigh and Mrs Sheepshanks/‘Woolly’ in the film, which also features her two labradors.

It’s quite a read. (‘on seeing that I was badly hurt, Maria howled with laughter ... Ruth Prawer Jhabvala, hearing the story, murmured that she liked the sound of Maria.’) But KHH, curiously, never mentions Maurice. Here he is on set at Wilbury in 1986 helping Ismail and the crew to pull Clive and Anne’s carriage. (Set photography by Jon Gardey, from Robert Emmet Long, The Films of Merchant Ivory, 1991/1992.)

Bridge at Goathland Station, better known to some as Hogsmeade Station in the Harry Potter movies needs repairs / replacement. The famous North Yorkshire Moors Railway (NYMR) that runs it, and has had other parts of their heritage line appear in other Hollywood movies including Mission Impossible and Indiana Jones is appealing for donations to get the job done.

🎥 We come back to Merlin and the famous scene of his meeting with Arthur. It directly set the tone for their relationship. 😂

The 2nd scene is that of the stake in memory of Lancelot, a much sadder scene but also so full of emotions.

🏰 If we learned something that day it's not to use the phone to take these photos, it looks much better with a real camera even if the arms work more 😅

🎥 On revient sur Merlin et la fameuse scène de sa rencontre avec Arthur. Ça a directement donné le ton de leur relation. 😂

La 2ème scène est celle du bûcher en mémoire à Lancelot, une scène beaucoup plus triste mais aussi tellement pleines d'émotions.

🏰 Si on a apprit quelques chose ce jour-là c'est de pas utiliser le téléphone pour faire ces photos, ça rend beaucoup mieux avec un vrai appareil photo même si les bras travaillent plus 😅
