Honestly, Litepanel do have pretty dame good light quality which make color reproduction so genuine, which make gel so accurate. Not quite sure, but moonlight white gel is new on Firmeware C5? I think. 2 x @fiilexled #fiilexq8 on 2000K bounce on @thelightbridge through windows for a bit warm street light. 3 x #fiilexq5 one for fill i the room at very low output. The other 2 are up stair by the railing as practicals. Key for the set is a #fiilexq10 through 1/2 Grid and @honeycrates 8’by to keep the contrast. @hudson.spider bounce on silver umbrella for eye light & fill. Q10 is a bit more powerful than I had expected, so i remember I tone it down to 70% ish. To create the illusion of an extended virtual set, the parameters and characteristics of the foreground and virtual background need to match. Some parameters like movement and parallax can be homogenized by tracking and synchronization. This talk, from FilmLight Image Engineer Daniele Siragusano, closely examines the colour match between foreground and background in a Virtual Production Stage. At first sight, colour matching might be seen as a 'calibration problem', but we show that it is hard to predict before shooting. Colour matching on the shooting day must be fast, robust and easy to achieve because principle photography is a time press. Also, the production might not afford an expert only for this task. Hence, the tools for colour matching need to be very intuitive, fast to learn, and easy to operate. The presentation is funded by the European Union within the Max-R (Mixed Augmented and Extended Reality Media Pipeline) Research Project.
