FFXV - HC’s about your pregnancy and how the boys would take care of you
Female Reader
I have some cute ideas in mind 🖤 Let your dearest boy take care of you 💋 I want to thank everyone who read and support my stuff.
A big thank you to my dear friend @fangirl-ramblings 🖤 she has been beta reading for me 🌹
(Pictures/GIF are not mine! Found on Pinterest/Google/tumblr)
Characters: Prompto, Nyx Ulric, Cor Leonis, Gladio and Ignis
Warning: Pregnant reader, some argument, mention of love making
A little reminder: Requests are open 😋
Prompto:
Tumblr media
⦁When you tell Prompto about your pregnancy, he is overjoyed! He can't stop kissing you, he even cries because he is so happy! And you cry with him.
⦁He immediately tells the good news to his friends and they of course rejoice with him. It will not be easy to choose a godfather for the child.
⦁He thinks you are the most beautiful woman in the world. Seeing you like this, with your beautiful round belly, makes him very happy. A part of him lives in you now.
⦁Prompto is so excited! He is already buying so many things for the unborn child. Clothes, toys and books of fairy tales, so he can read them to his child every night.
⦁Prompto gets you everything you feel like. No matter how crazy your cravings are, he would willingly drive hundreds of miles to see you happy. Even in the middle of the night he will get you your favorite ice cream if you ask for it.
⦁He will protect you and the little one with his life.
⦁When fears and worries rob you of your sleep, Prompto will tell you with that sweet voice of his, that everything will be fine. You will hear words full of love that will make your heart laugh again.
⦁He will probably freak out if you get hurt or catch some illness. He will take good care of you, but overacting sometimes.
⦁On the nights when you are in his arms, he is even more tender and loving than he already is. He loves you and the little one in your belly. Sometimes he sings to his child. Softly and in a gentle voice, while he lovingly looks at you and caressing your belly.
Nyx Ulric:
Tumblr media
⦁ Your pregnancy is not planned at all and you are afraid to tell him that you are expecting a his child.
⦁ Nyx is speechless at first and just stares at you with wide eyes. You don't know what's going on in his head and what he's thinking about, and that makes you very nervous. Does he want this child? Is he going to freak out now?
⦁ Your anxiety grows as no reaction comes from Nyx. But when he sees your tears and the sad expression on your face, he wakes up from his trance. He can't stand to see you so sad and immediately wraps you in his arms "Hey, hey... it's alright. It's okay."
⦁ Nyx is very loving and also understanding. He loves you more than anything. As time goes by, Nyx becomes more and more excited that you are expecting a child from him. A little being that grows inside you. A greater gift you could not offer him.
⦁ However, he is concerned about whether he can provide you and the baby with the life you deserve. He will do anything to make you happy.
⦁ His worries are great, but when he sees you, full of joy and also full of love, he forgets his fears. In you he has met his soul mate.
⦁ Your nights are full of love and passion. Nyx shows you how beautiful you are and how much he desires you.
⦁ Nyx and you become even closer.
⦁ Nyx will no longer risk his life so recklessly, for he has a great responsibility. He chooses his missions carefully and is highly concentrated.
⦁ He informs himself about pregnancy, gets books and guidebooks, so that he is prepared for the coming weeks and months. He supports you where he can, because he knows that pregnancy is not an easy thing.
⦁ When your baby is born, he doesn't leave your side and when he finally sees this sweet little creature, his beautiful blue eyes shimmer with tears. "I love you. Both of you", he says as he strokes your hair and kisses you full of love.
Cor Leonis:
Tumblr media
⦁ You have been trying to have a child for a long time, but it doesn't happen so easily for you.
⦁ The more time goes by and you don't succeed, the more unhappy you are about it. It is your greatest wish, but Cor also wishes to start a family.
⦁ You start to doubt yourself and are afraid that Cor might leave you. Even though you know deep inside that he would never do that. He loves you and wants to share his life with you.
⦁ But one day, when you think all hope is lost a small miracle happens, You can hardly believe it, but it happened!
⦁ Cor can hardly believe it when he comes home and you give him this beautiful news.
⦁ You kiss each other in tears, Cor showers you with kisses. He can't put into words how happy he is. Lovingly he embraces your face, looks at you with tears and smiles. "I love you, Y/N."
⦁ He lifts you in his arms and takes you to the bedroom where he loves you with passion. It's a long night of you making love. You lose all sense of time, because you are in your own world, forgetting everything around you...
⦁ Cor works less to be there for you.
⦁ You take many walks in nature and when you are not feeling well, he lovingly takes care of you.
⦁ You love his kisses on your belly, you like the way he looks at you; full of love and affection. You have found the man to spend the rest of your life with
Gladio:
Tumblr media
⦁ Gladio is completely shocked at first. This was not planned at all! He literally panics!
⦁ He becomes louder, asks you how this is supposed to work? Because as I said, it was not planned at all! He thinks he is completely unsuitable as a father. He has other obligations and can not also take care of a child!
⦁ His extremely negative reaction shocks you. You try to calm him down, but Gladio is much too upset.
⦁ "This shouldn't have happened! Damn it, Y/N!" He doesn't think about what he's saying "What are you doing to me, Y/N?!"
⦁ After that sentence, you can't hold back your tears and Gladio sees that too. He sees your shocked expression and immediately regrets his words. But we know how stubborn he can be and he doesn't even apologize to you at first.
⦁ He leaves the apartment, because he first needs a clear head. He must gain distance from you in order not to hurt you even more. Gladio really regrets his words, but he needs to be alone for now.
⦁ His friend Ignis manages to calm him down and give him some advice. As a result, Gladio calms down and his feelings don't take over his mind. Rational thinking is now the order of the day.
⦁ Gladio really loves you very much and he wants to be there for you.
⦁ When he comes home and finds you crying in your shared bed, it breaks his heart. He asks you for forgiveness and holds you tightly in his arms. "I am so sorry. Please, forgive me. Please, Y/N..."
⦁ He knew what an idiot he had been and deeply regrets it.
⦁ Gladio is very gentle and affectionate in dealing with you. He treats you as if you were made of glass.
⦁ And if anyone is rude or rough with you, oh, God have mercy on them! He becomes overprotective.
⦁ He shows a lot of understanding when your hormones go crazy.
⦁ Lying in his lap, he strokes your hair and is so happy about the course his life has taken.
Ignis:
Tumblr media
⦁ When you tell Ignis the happy news, he is overjoyed! You made him the proudest man in the world. His beautiful wife brings new life into the world! Who would not be happy and proud?
⦁ You both knew from the beginning that you wanted children. You didn't want to wait long to have them and now you are going to be very young parents.
⦁ Ignis takes care of you as if you were the greatest treasure on earth. Well, he did that before, but now his protective instinct has also become stronger.
⦁ Ignis cooks you meals that are healthy, but also very tasty! So no boring dishes, just really fancy things!
⦁ Ignis knows that you are going through a special time and that you need every support, and you will get it from him. He does most of the housework because he doesn’t want you to overwork yourself.
⦁ He will prepare baths for you, with fragrant oils, and petals of flowers. And while you take a bath, he admires you, caressing your belly, while he keeps looking at you gently. Full of love.
⦁ He often makes trips with you. Your favorite destination is Galdin Quay. There you spend passionate nights together.
⦁ Sometimes, you sit on the beach at night and look at the stars in the sky. You talk about your future. These evenings will remain in your memory for a long time, because they are very special.

Breaking The Bed
Gladiolus Amicitia x Reader
Warnings: nsfw, rough sex, afab reader
Gladio is a giga chad and breaks the bed
Re-upload because something glitched
————————————————————————-
Tumblr media
Gladio’s hips rutted against yours. His palm perched up on the swell of your ass while his other hand pressed into the curve of your spine. He used his strength to keep you pinned flush against him, chest to chest, while you rocked back and forth on his lap; kissing him softly.
The softest sigh escaped your lips as a low moan echoed through his mouth. He felt the vibration course through him, causing him to smirk and suck gently on your lower lip. His mouth slid down your neck. The gentle kiss was followed by his tongue licking at the sensitive spot under your jaw.
He moved lower to nip at your throat, making sure to cover every inch of skin with his kisses. You hands tangled in his hair as his fingers trailed down your front. Teasing the skin along stomach before settling over your clit, rubbing circles around it as he kissed you hungrily.
Your legs wrapped tighter around his waist, squeezing his length, letting a whimper slip smooth off your tongue like silk to his ears. “Gladdy…”
A moan ripped deep within his throat, pushing himself harder against your center. His hands moved from your clit back up to cup your ass.
As if sensing your need, Gladiolus lifted his hips upwards, burying himself deeper within you. His thick cock stretching you out even more, “You drive me crazy, y’know that?” He grunted with pleasure as your walls hugged him tight.
You could feel every thrust, every slight movement of his cock perfectly. Moaning his name once again, you tried to bury your face into his chest. His chuckle, as boisterous as it was, gave you goosebumps.
Gladio brought one of his rough hands up to cup your face. As he stroked your cheek with his calloused fingers, he mumbled. “Eyes on me sweetheart.”
Your gaze shifted upwards so fast it almost made you dizzy, but it never left his face. You didn’t think you would ever get tired of watching him; the way the darkness in his amber eyes bored into your soul with hunger and desire. Or how he sucked his bottom lip between his teeth when his gaze drifted towards your lips.
“Just look at me.” He grunted. You could feel his other hand press harder into the small of your back, forcing your hips to roll against the movement of his thrusts.
Your breath hitched with each one, feeling the burn in your core build. Gladio leaned forward to capture your lips again. Moaning softly in the entanglement of your lips, you wrapped your arms around his neck.
Your hands ran through his locks, pulling him closer. Gladio let out a deep moan in against your lips deepening the kiss even further. As you began rocking more urgently into his body, he squeezed your ass. You gasped against his mouth.
He chuckled under you, “You want more?”
You swallowed thicky, nodding vigorously. Your hands fisted the fabric of his tank-top, tugging him closer to you until his head dipped into the crook of your shoulder. Thanks to his sturdy build, you could lean all your weight against him as he hugged your smaller form.
Enveloping your body into a tight embrace, Gladiolus grunted against your skin as he worked to increase the tempo of your movements. You moaned louder to which he snickered against your lips. With his firm grip never falterting, he leaned backwards with you in his arms until his back hit the plush mattress. You yelped in surprise.
The springs groaned, the wood creaked, and the bedframe knocked against the wall. His cock throbbed within you as he bent his knees, planting his feel firmly on the bed with you still in his lap.
Gladio’s laugh sent a chill down your spine. He covered the side of your face with wet kisses, tickling the skin with his facial hair. “If I didn’t know better, I’d say you were begging for it, princess.” With his lips close by your ear, you could practically hear the smirk plastered on his face.
His movments slowed momentarily, giving you a moment to catch your breath and adjust to the change in gravity.
With every slow thrust, Gladio whispered sweet nothings in your ear, encouraging you to get lost in your own rapture. “Just relax and enjoy the ride.” He kissed the top of your head. His words filled your entire world, wrapping you in an intoxicating cloud of lust.
And suddenly he pistoned his hips hard, thrusting up into your soaked cunt with exertion. The loud smacking of his hips became drilled in your head as he drove into you repeatedly.
You laid on his chest helplessly as he held you down with his own brute strength. His grip was tight on your body as he buried his face into the space between your shoulder and neck.
He slammed his cock into you relentlessly, balls smacking against your ass with each thrust. He pounded into you as if he was trying to fuck himself through every inch of your body. ”Fuck me,” You huffed as the wind got knocked out of you.
It was an order, not a request. Gladio didn’t hesitate to comply. Grinding his cock into you, he thrusted his pelvis hard against yours as if that would help you find release faster. He just kept fucking into you harder and harder. Your pussy clenched around his throbbing cock, soaking the entire length. And he still fucked you with everything he had.
His hands gripped your hips tightly, holding you down as he pounded into you. His breathing was heavy, labored. His chest heaved with each thrust. His eyes were closed, his face contorted in ecstasy.
He moaned as he felt you clench around him, your wetness dripping down your thighs.
As he kept thrusting, he realized that he would only continue to get lost in you. No matter how far he could climb to chase his high, his desire remained insatiable.
Even now, hours later, dawn was approaching. After what had felt like a lifetime to Gladio, his dick still throbbed, desperate for more.
Straddling your figure as you laid on your stomach, he ground his hips down into you. Either of his hands rested on your hips as he fucked you mercilessly from behind.
The sheets were wrinkled in your grasp, pillows scattered around. Both of your bodies were drenched in sweat, hair disheveled. Your clothes were no where to be found. Presumably somewhere scattered on the floor, but you paid no mind.
He was still pounding into you, stretching you open so that you could take him, and only him. Every time his hips made contact with your ass, it jiggled—to which he found amusing.
Gladiolus smiled slightly, running his finger down your spine. A shiver of delight rippled through your body. His smile grew into a full fledged grin. Sitting up straight, he continued to pound into you. “Beautiful.” His purred to himself.
He knew he had you completely enthralled by his cock. “Gladdy,” You moaned his name, arching your back against him. He smirked as he watched you writhe beneath him, continuing to pump himself into you as your thighs shook, clenching around his cock.
Occasionally he would hold your waist tight and push your face down into the pillows below, whispering the most vulgar obscenities to your ear.
“Shit, babygirl.” “Yeah, you like that?” “Fuck yeah, take that cock.” “So fuckin tight.”
He would slam into you over and over again, abusing your swollen pussy with such ferocity that it caused a sharp pang of pleasure to shoot through youe core. Then he’d shealth himself deep inside, growling through clenched teeth. “You’re takin me so well.”
Every second you spent with him felt like forever. But it couldn't have been any more satisfying. He was make love to you until you shattered from his lips; his touch; his words, his cock.
His fingers dug into your hips; nails scraping against your skin, creating small trails of bruises. “You’re mine, y’know that?”
You could only respond in moans or whimpers. Your speech barely comprehensable to him, but he didn’t care. Every sound or movement you made told him all that he needed to know.
It was a wonder how no one knocked on your door to complain about all the noise. Not Prompto or Ignis, or the other motel quests. Not even Noctis. In the back of your mind, you wondered if the others had been listening throughout the night, but the thought was soon drowned out by your own moans.
The bed croaked in response to your passionate lovemaking. The wooden frame beat the wall over and over and over again in sync with Gladio’s thrusts, scratching off the paint.
You felt his bare chest make contact with your back as he leaned down, mixing his sweat with yours. His lips ghosted over the shell of your ear, gently nibbling on your skin. Your name fell from his lips with a grunt. The sound was music to your ears.
You swore to the Astrals that you could’ve fallen apart right then and there.
You let out a soft cry into the pillow, shuddering from every overhwelming sensation.
“Fuck (Name),” He kissed your shoulder blade, leaving light trails of teeth marks as he slowed the ferocity of his thrusts while still making sure to reach the most peasureable depths inside you
Gladiolus growled against the crook of your neck, feeling your cunt flutter around him. “Oh shit…” He grunted, grinding into you harder. His breathing grew heavier as he wrapped his arms tight around you. Your body was practially buried beneath his weight.
You bit down on the pillow, muffling out a moan into it. His large hand caressed your lower abdomen as he pulled you tighter to his body. The bed squeaked under him as his hips rolled along with yours.
Your back arched against his hard chest, your legs trembling from both the excitement and exhaustion. Your muscles tightened in an instinctual reaction whenever he took you this far. “Please.” You whimpered just loud enough for him to register, aching for relief.
Picking up speed yet again, Gladio shut his eyes and clenched his teeth. Sweat beaded his forehead, dampening the strands of hair that hung onto his forehead. His muscular thighs tensed and flexed as he continued his relentless pounding.
You whimpered weakly, burying your face deeper into the pillow. Every thrust caused your clit to sting from overstimulation.
Coincidentally, every hard thrust caused the bed to croak louder and louder behind the lewd sounds.
Gladiolus let out a loud grunt, slamming into you with renewed vigor. Your breath caught in your throat, you couldn’t believe that this was happening. He continued to thrust with an intensity that left you trembling, unable to stop yourself from cumming right away.
A faint cracking could be heard coming from somehwhere in the room, but you didn’t pay any mind to it. As a final thrust brought forth your orgasm, it felt as if the walls came crumbling down. You emitted a loud cry of ecstasy.
And with yet another orgasm for the night, the bed finally gave out one last croak before collapsing in on itself.
CRACK
The bed’s legs cracked first, then the entire bedframe gave in and fell flat to the ground.
There was a pause that lasted way too long, leaving you both dead silent. It was like the world had stopped. Neither of you moved, almost too scared to break the bed further.
It took a few seconds to register what happened. Thankfully the mattress didn’t slide off during the event, so neither of you got hurt. Both emitting soft gasps, Gladio was the first to lift himself up to check out the damage.
You whined as he pulled out of you, leaving you empty and still trembling from your orgasm. And while his cock was still standing proud, still leaking with want, he ignored it entirely.
He got off of you. Rubbing the back of his neck as he grimaced at the state of the bed.
“Shit…” He cursed, reaching for the broken bed frame.
“Is it bad?” You weakly sat up, cheeks flushed and eyes puffy. “It’s gonna cost us a couple thousand Gil...” Gladio shrugged, glancing back at you.
Groaning, you pushed yourself up from the pile of pillows. Your legs wobbled as you stood, letting the blood rush to your limbs once you regained your balance. “You think Iggy’ll lecture us later?” You chuckled softly, leaning forward to grab onto Gladio’s forearm, using it to steady yourself.
“I bet he’ll make us cook for a week.” He laughed, assuring you with a soft peck to your cheek. “I’m gonna have a great time explaining this to the owner...” He grunted, briefly leaving your side.
Walking around the room, he picked up the clothes scattered all over the foor. “We really outdid ourselves didn’t we?” Gladio added with a small grin, looking down at you with amusement.
You laughed softly to yourself and pulled yourself together. “Yeah, definitely did.” You glanced at the mess of the bed again, then looked at him.
“Never expected you to be so… passionate.” You smiled sheepishly.
Gladiolus scoffed, sliding his boxers back on. “Well you weren’t expecting a gentle giant, were ya?” He teased. Walking over to where you stood, he pulled you towards him and kissed your temple.
“Nah, never.” You grinned up at him, resting your hand over his chest. “You made it worth my while.” You whispered, giving him a small kiss on the cheek.
He let out a satisfied hum, “That’s not all I got in store for you, babe.” Playfully squeezing your ass, Gladio pulled you in for a kiss. After a couple more minutes he broke the kiss and turned away from you, grabbing his phone.
“Get yourself dressed and go see Iggy. He’ll probably let you sleep in his room.” He uttered as he put his pants back on.
As you picked up your clothes and shuffled towards the bathroom, you turned back to look at him momentairly. “And what about you?” You asked.
“I’ll stay here and call the front desk.” He answered as he grabbed his shirt from the floor and put it back on. “Don’t tell Ignis just yet. Wouldn’t want him getting pissed at you for my mistake.”

Coming home late from work. You nearly drop everything in your hands as you try to search for your keys. You cursed under your breath; you wanted to cry, and maybe you were. You slammed your hand on the doorknob and threw open the door. The door had been left unlocked. Gladiolus heard the noises and had moved to the door. Your stuff fell, and Gladiolus picked it up and led you inside the house.
“Don't worry about it. It's okay.” He said as he sat you on the couch. You buried your head in your hands as Gladiolus went about putting your stuff away and came back with a cup of noodles. He wasn't much of a cook, but it didn't matter. He made you food, and it was still warm. The baby started to make noises, and you closed your eyes.
“Don't worry, I got it.” He said gently as he left to take care of your child.
You finished your food. You couldn't remember what happened next, but you woke up in bed, and your shoes were gone. Gladiolus had moved you to the bed. He didn't want you to sleep on the couch. Your pajamas were neatly folded beside you. If you wanted to change into something more comfortable, he knew your nightly routine. He made sure everything was easily accessible.

Okay so I was playing ffxv and was going through Balouve Mines (a dungeon), and a bunch of mine carts were coming out of nowhere. But it’s okay, Prompto kept attracting them. Like every single one of them hit him, and I thought it was really funny. So here is a couple of those moments so when can all laugh at his clumsiness together.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
In this one he even said “look out” but he just stood there and both him and Ignis got hit. Sadly this only lets me upload one video otherwise I’d show you.
Tumblr media
And for our final clip. Prompto showing his love for the carts by saying they should follow the rails. Cue Prompto and Gladious showing some brotherly love.
I really hope y’all enjoyed this as much as I did, and don’t worry, Prompto is okay :)

P.S. enjoy this photo of Noctis eating his curry

Gladdy would be a pleasure dom would want to eat you out first before anything else. But I could see him getting flustered the moment you suck him off. Something about big guys getting flustered is just top teir gold
also this man is 6'6 so he is biiiiiiiiig
look at this man’s face and tell me you don’t want to ride it, also if you look him up shirtless, the man's happy trail is inviting

Softly you say, "Come on daddy," Pushing his sweat pants down and getting on your knees in front of him. As you look up and continue to say, "Let your babydoll take care of you." Gladio makes no move to stop you as the blood is rushing to his cock, which is no doubt sweaty from working out with his friends.
You take a moment to admire the large bulge that his dark underwear is stretching over. Before you slip those halfway down his thighs with his sweatpants. You lick your lips as you wrap your hand around his cock and hold his veiny, heavy length. You lick the pre-cum that's coming out from his fat tan and pink tip. Before you say,
"Are you sure you don't want me to eat you out?" He loves seeing you squirm, grind your hips, and getting you to cry because he is making you feel too well that you can barely handle it. Overstimulating you is just as fun as when he lets you cool off, and softly kisses you while playing with your nipples. You always got so needy for him again after a few minutes.
Wrapping your lips around his cock and slowly bobbing your head, taking only his tip past your lips. He loves how your tongue ring rubs against his sensitive cock head. As you stop moving your head and hallow your checks.
Swirling your tongue around his head, as he tries not to fuck his cock a little deeper into your mouth. But you can see Gladio's warm honey brown eyes that he wants to. You let him go with a loud pop and he groans, his enormous chest falling with the shaky groan. You tell Gladio,
"I'll ride your pretty face afterward." There is something so painfully good about the way his beard rubs against the inside of your thighs when his face is in between. It's something you crave. So when Gladio starts over and clean shaves, you pout a little..
"Fuck yes, want you to pretty your sweet pretty pussy on my face? So I can make her feel good and suck on your soft clit until you squirt." Gladio has an obsession with making you squirt and counting how many times he could make you cum in one night. Since he enjoys making sure you're fucked out and tired by the time he finishes if it's not a quickie.
Galdio suggests, "How about you put one of the sofa pillows under your knees at least so you're more comfortable?" You let Gladio go and he steps out of his sweatpants and underwear. Before he grabs a pillow that he hands to you. Then pulls off his shirt before he sits down on the sofa with his legs spread apart to sit comfortably on the large square pillow he handed to you. Which he normally kept on the sofa for him to rest against.
Gladio can't help but praise you, "You're beautiful. I love coming home to see your pretty face, and when you greet me wearing nothing but your panties, babydoll you look so irresistible." Grabbing his cock and spitting on him. As his cock jerks in your hand and you smile as you ask him,
Smearing the spit down Gladio's cock towards the dark patch of hair that his happy trail led to as you ask, "You enjoy seeing me spit on your cock that's so fat my hand can't even wrap around it?" You spit on his cock again, as he groans.
"You look so yummy with these veins and you're so heavy inside my mouth. It feels so good having your cock in your mouth. It just makes me what your handsome cock deep my pussy even more." Gladio is smirking as you praise his cock. He reaches down and cups your cheek.
"Babydoll you are so sweet, you love my cock that much. It feels good inside your tiny mouth?" You suck his thumb into your mouth and go,
"MmmMmm." And then swirl your tongue around it. As you pump your hand up and down his cock, the slick sounds of the spit on his dick make your pussy throb. So you put one hand between your legs and push your panties aside to play with your clit.
"I'm so lucky I get to watch you get off to sucking my cock. You can make yourself cum all you like, I promise I'll make you cum even harder with my tongue when you sit on my face."

Part 1/4
Gladiolus x Fem!Kingsglaive!Reader
DESCRIPTION: You are a tired Glaive with a thin patience for dating, noise, and crowded spaces-- After just getting your heart broken once again, you decide to sail alone in the sea of singleness. However, when being caught filtering in and out of a high security area where you do not belong, you find yourself in a pickle that is too hard to explain… and the problem itself has pretty amber eyes and rippling pectorals.
Authors Note: Hello Anon! I am so sorry this took FOREVER for me to write. (And when I mean forever— I mean FOREVER) I am sure you moved on by now and left this fandom in your rear view mirror, but I will never leave a request unfulfilled— even if it becomes dusty within my request box. But I hope I can make up for the lengthy time gap by giving you a huge story in return. This is probably the longest fic I have written and published ever in my life! I hope I did your request justice, as well as Gladio! Enjoy!
With all this being said, I am now getting to the other request in my inbox! I am so sorry for the wait everyone. Just know I am doing my best to fulfill your requests! For the time being, lets bring on the Gladio love!! -Rosie
Warning: story does contain swearing. Read at your own risk. (Slow burn)

The morning after a rough, emotionally tolling evening, always held a bit of a sting. When you woke, it was almost like you had forgotten everything that had occurred. Your eyes groggily drank in the cracked pattern of plaster on your ceiling, before trudging down to the split within your curtains. Sunlight fought to stream through the thick fabric, and managed only a bit, giving a small beam of golden light to your bedroom. You sighed, arm falling limply over your eyes in hopes to filter out the small victory the sun had against your curtains. Your alarm hadn't gone off yet, and you had no intentions of getting up any earlier then you already had to.
Motionless you laid, waiting for your body to lull back to sleep. However seconds seemed to drag on more like hours, and your mind began its menial task of compartmentalizing all you had to do for that day.
It wasn't until you finally gave in to your roused state, when everything began to set in again. Disappointment. Sheer and utter disappointment. Not to mention dread. With a heavy sigh, your arm that draped over your eyes shot up and grabbed your phone that rested on your nightstand; still connected to the charger. You were shocked— That even through your anguish, you still managed to put your phone on the hook. That was beside the point. You blinked away the haze within your eyes and read the time that sat in bold white letters against your lock screen. 7:30.
You shifted to sit up, back resting on the headboard of your bed. Unlocking your phone, you sifted through social media, text messages, old pictures, you even flittered through little time wasting games that somehow made it onto your phone. You did this, only to avoid the dating app that had started it all. The reason a crashing headache seemed to throb directly behind your eyes.
The gnawing voice in the back of your mind asked that you open it— Check to see if that guy left you a message. Check to see if he even read the one you had sent. However, the logical part of you itched to delete it, removing every last drop from the memory your phone carried. Inner turmoil raged within your foggy mind, and you sat there staring at the app as if it were the devil— coaxing you to do wrongfully. Your thumb came dangerously close to hitting the app in means of opening it— until your saving grace pulled you from the trance.
Your phone buzzed in your hand, a name splayed as a banner at the top of your screen. Prompto Argentium. Your good friend. You had met by pure happenstance in the Citadel, he was lost on his way to meet up with the Prince. One wrong turn had him treading through the opposite wing of the Citadel. Before he knew it he was nearing the Glaive briefing room, with confusion written across his freckled face. You were the one who found him, and kindly walked him to his destination.
It didn't take long for the two of you to become friends, and exchanged information to keep in touch.
With a shadow of a grin on your face, you answered the phone with a trite greeting.
"Hey you, How did the date go? I have been thinking about you all day. Please tell me it went well." Prompto's chipper voice seemed to do more damage then good; absentmindedly rubbing salt within your wounds.
"Terrible, to put it bluntly," You sighed, voice thick. You cleared it and pushed yourself to sit upward, elbows digging into your legs.
"Why? What happened? He sounded like he was it." Disappointment reflected in Prompto's voice, as if he felt just as broken up as you did. Well more like numb at this point.
"He stood me up. I sat at the restaraunt for an hour before giving up. Lets face it Prompto, romance is dead, and hookups are all the rage. No one wants genuine love—" You were silently waving your white flag in surrender to the gods. As if to beg them to stop adding insult upon injury. They won, and you were now fine with that.
"That is not true. It is out there. You just... gotta sift through the bad ones first." He sighed, "You aren't alone. I'm in the same boat. But just because that dude was a loser, doesn't mean all dudes suck."
You wanted to laugh, but swallowed the urge as you swung your feet to hover over the floor. "They do all suck."
"Hey!—"
"Well except you." You shrugged with a hint of a smile. "Look, I am not all bent out of shape about it. Just sucks is all. But I think I need a break from all of that. Its getting to be taxing on my mental health."
"Take care of yourself, girl! Forget about dudes. Tell ya what, maybe we should meet up for lunch. How does Tony's sound? All you can eat bacon—" Prompto was the king at advertising. And damn did bacon sound good.
"Breakfast for lunch— I am in."
****
That night, as you were walking through the halls of the Citadel, gym bag slung over your shoulder— You didn't allow your mind to argue your decision. You deleted the dreaded dating app, and locked your phone. The feeling that seemed to wash over you was strange. While part of you felt freed from the chains that the app held onto you— there was a note of disappointment. But you swallowed it quickly while reaching deep into your pocket and pulling out a small keycard.
You were far from where you truly belonged, edging towards the opposite side of the Citadel from where you usually worked, trained, and dwelt. It was known that there were designated training rooms for those within the Crownsguard, as well as the Royalty. It was also common knowledge that the individuals holding those high positions had keys to enter those rooms. You however, had an in.
As you neared the large gym doors, you glanced around the nearly vacant hallway. It stretched to the left and right of you for a good distance, before branching off to other smaller corridors. Luckily, they were all empty— The only sound came from your approaching feet and the hum from the air conditioning that rushed through metal plated grates near the ceiling. With a practiced, swift maneuver, you tapped the key onto the metal receiver. You were rewarded with a satisfying click, signifying your allowance into the locked room. The metal handle of the door snapped as you shoved it open.
Unlike the training room where the glaives all gathered, this one was nicer; more spacious, and air conditioned. To add the cherries on top— It was hardly used. And at 8:30 at night, it remained vacant. The gym was empty, aside for the equipment that was scattered across the wooden flooring. You were in the clear.
Like the past two weeks you had been visiting the Royal Training Room, you made a steady strut to the woman's locker room to change out of your uniform and into something with a bit more flexibility. However, when you approached the door, you were met with a sign. In black bold face letters it read: CLOSED FOR MATENENCE. "Of course," You sighed, head tilting in attempt to stretch the muscles that seemed to bunch up in your neck. There was no other choice but to retreat to the next locker room over— the men's. Not that it mattered of course, there was no one around. You were alone. You walked the few paces to your left and stepped through the door, sliding your heavy gym bag from off your shoulder.
You hardly looked up as you dumped your bag to the floor. But as soon as you did, you caught a flash of movement. Your gaze whipped from the tile to a large man, white towel clinging to the slight swell in his hips. Your eyes raked up the figure, starting at the calves and growing ever so slowly upward. The figure had a tattoo that stretched from his lower back, and painted his tanned skin all the way across his shoulder blades and bled towards his arms. The detailed ink made the shape of a bird and its wings… and could only be owned by none other then—
"Care to explain why you are here?" His gruff voice reverberated off the walls, and spiked the nervousness in your chest. The muscular man turned to look at you, a second towel clenched in his hand; sopping up the moisture from his soaked, dark brown hair. He seemed unbothered that you had walked in on him, post shower and half naked. However he held a scowl that could be written off as deadly— especially for someone who absolutely did not belong there at all. His thick eyebrow slowly climbed up his forehead, thick lips beginning to flatten into a displeasing line.
You caught yourself gawking and swallowed hard before whipping your head towards the floor. Crouching, you snagged the handles of your bag and threw it over your shoulder. "I am so sorry, I did not mean to intrude. The woman's—"
"I am well aware. I'm talking about in general." He was blunt, and shot straight to the point.
"Ah, I am not sure." You were in for it now. And to spoil all of the luck you had rushed in with the past few weeks— you were busted by the Sworn Shield of the Prince. "Again, my mistake, I will leave."
"No you won't. and don't act like you just stumbled in here. I am not an idiot."
Of course not, you wanted to say, there is a key to get in— "Look, It was my mistake. I will just go—"
"How did you get in here?" Gladiolus gruffly asked. You sighed and took two steps closer to the door; back turned to him to avoid his tempered gaze. At least what you imagined it was.
You had an insider's help— at least that was the honest answer. Were you prepared to give that answer? absolutely not. That would just be throwing Prompto under the bus. You swallowed thickly, bolstered up your bravery and straightened your back. Confidence, you've read in a psychology textbook, can sometimes work within your favor. "I'm afraid I cant share that information."
Gladio huffed, clicking his tongue. The towel he had been drying his hair with was thrown to the bench in front of him. "You best, or you will find yourself in a heap more trouble then you are already in. This training room is for authorized personnel only and as much as I admire the Glaive, you do not count."
The back handed, not really, but kind of a compliment made your heart swell. But only for a moment— It was pilfered rapidly by the growing nerves that continued to pulsate through your veins; even despite your desperate attempts to quell it by bolstering fake confidence. You bowed your head and took another side step to the door. "Yes, I know. I don't have ill intentions. I just like the peace and quiet. The Glaive training room is always crowded, loud and I hardly have space to work with. But like I said: I can't tell you anything. I am sorry again,"
Another step had you half way through the small juncture before the door. You were almost free. "You wait for me outside the locker room. We are not finished with this, and you are not leaving. This is serious."
Serious, he acted like using a gym was a grade A felony. But in fear of being hunted down by what everyone knew as one of the strongest men in the Citadel, you rather not take any chances. You gave him a subtle wave of your hand before finally leaving the locker room.
Part of you felt stupid for not running. He didn't catch your face, or at least to your knowledge— and he had no other information. If you made a break for it, then could he really come after you? You weighed out your options, feet nervously stuttering beneath you. Your foot moved towards the door, however as quickly as your mind changed its thinking; it cemented back in place. You balanced on this uncomfortable precipice for what felt like ever— until you made your decision: leave.
You unglued your heavy foot from off the ground, and took your first step towards freedom. But it ended quickly when the locker room door hinges squealed with dread. Instinctually, you whipped your head around. Gladio stood easily 6'6, rippling muscles cascaded up his thick biceps and continued throughout his upper half. The thin, tight, tank top that Gladio wore seemed to leave very little to the imagination. This man was built. And leaving probably meant your demise. But in the same regard— staying could mean the same as well. Again you swallowed the thickness in your throat and you turned fully to face the Shield. "Listen, Gladio. I don't really want trouble. I just came here looking for a peaceful work out. Sorry for barging in on you, and sorry for being here." Your words sounded more confident than you truly felt, which you supposed could be a good thing… after all, Psychology.
"I will ask again, and I want the real answer. How the hell did you get in here?" Did he just fully ignore you? You were growing tired of the constant questioning. Despite the welling of fear that pooled in your stomach, you flashed a cheeky smirk. You learned far more in your Psychology classes than you had ever thought.
"Maybe you shouldn't leave the door unlocked, it would save from all this trouble." You shrugged, head tilting to the automatic locking door. Reverse Psychology. Snark usually got you nowhere. That is what your mother always said in her usual strict, no nonsense tone. And she was always right on every account. But it didn't make it any less appealing to speak that way.
You were lucky to catch the cascading thoughts flooding through Gladio's mind. His amber eyes told the story well. It began with fear, back tracking through his past hour— then a sudden crash of realization-- then the final touch of sharpness when he picked up on your idiocy. "Enough of the games—"
"Like I said Gladio, It was great meeting you, but unfortunately this is beginning to bore me, and I have places to be this evening. Its been swell." You turned on your heels with a little bit of oomph, hair whipping to follow your wake. You trekked with a steady step towards the door.
"Hold it! I didn't even get your name!" he shouted, voice booming against the walls of the training room. You waited for him to grab you and detain you. Which he was more than capable of doing; considering you were in the wrong, committing crimes against the Citadel— even if they did seem insignificant. However that wasn't going to stop you from making a break for it.
You only tilted your head back to respond: "Sorry for being inconsiderate… As unfortunate as it sounds, I was never given a name."
"That's bullshit." His voice flickered away from the strict tone it usually carried. It cracked as if to show a bit of amusement. Were you amusing the Prince's Shield? You knew you were dead meat, and most likely were about to be in a long ass conference with the General, Marshal, and most likely the witness of your heinous crime. Boldness and confidence occasionally worked within your favor, and you were ready to gamble that.
"Says the guy with a name. Catch ya later!" You pushed hard at the gym doors, and quickly made your get away.

TITLE: Until Darkness Descends
CHAPTER: 19
RATING: Explicit
FANDOM: Final Fantasy XV
PAIRING: Ardyn Izunia x Reader
“For the last time I can handle it.” You said. The puncture wound on your left shoulder throbbed and pulsed like a beating heart. But you gritted your teeth against the pain and continued to suck the poison out of your body with your healing energy. The product of your endeavor glistened on your forehead.
The poison surged through your body like a lightning bolt. Your vision doubled and your tongue felt like lead in your mouth. It was bad enough that you were losing focus, and fast, but your comrades insisted on bickering at you as though you had enough mental energy to spare.
Yellow liquid bubbled to the surface, but refused to escape your wound. You applied more energy to your palm, eyebrows creased together, and your limbs vibrating with the effort.
Gladiolus scoffed, “handle it, my ass. You just got hit by a scorpion, who knows how poisonous it is.”
“Yeah, don’t you think you should see a doctor?” Prompto interjected.
“Wouldn’t hurt to go.” Noctis agreed.
A stab of frustration zipped through your chest. Did they really think that lowly of your abilities? You’re a healer, bestowed with the ability to handle worse injuries than this, and yet they insisted on crowding around you like a bunch of worried hens. You bit down on the inside of your cheek, your stomach swirled with worry. If they regarded your powers this lowly now then what would happen in the near future? Would they not trust you with an even more critical situation?
The thought soured your gums. You had to prove to them that you could handle anything. What was the point of being their designated healer if you didn’t have their trust? You powered through the fatigue that locked you in a tight embrace. The skin around your eyes felt tight against your skull and your fingertips burned from the exertion.
When they said something else, you sucked your teeth and grimaced. “I don’t need a doctor. I am more than capable of handling this on my own.”
“We’re not questioning your capabilities, Aera.” Came Ignis’ satiny smooth voice, “only suggesting that you confer with someone who has more knowledge on this type of poison than you do.”
“Iggy’s right, you shouldn’t take chances on something like this.” Gladiolus said.
Their words fell on deaf ears. You fumbled the ball on your first real battle, you couldn’t risk giving up on your first real emergency. If you did then the boys would never trust you to look after them.
Air bubbles burst in your head. The orange landscape somersaulted as darkness devoured your vision. When you opened your eyes you were on the ground in your boyfriend’s arms.
           “Aera!” Prompto cried.
            “Are you alright?” Ignis asked.
Gladiolus frowned, “that’s it, I’m taking you to a hospital.” He said, the sharp edge in a voice left no room for debate.
Lifting you from the ground, Gladiolus began his trek back to Hammerhead with the boys in tow. You felt so stupid and useless. This was your one and only chance at proving your worth to your friends, proving you were worth the crown’s investment, and you blew it. Your hands vibrated like an angry rattlesnake in your lap.
You thought you'd gotten stronger. All the time you’ve spent in the royal courts, all the training you’ve endured, all wasted in a blink of an eye and all because of that nasty migraine that tore through your skull. But you didn’t understand, you haven’t suffered from a migraine in two whole years, so why now?
What had changed, what triggered it? The image of that enigmatic figure towering over the scene of the fight, plastered itself onto your brain. That person you thought you saw, was that really Ardyn or just a figment of your imagination? You swallowed. Hallucinations were never something you had to contend with before, but apparently you have to deal with them now since whatever you saw wasn’t truly there.
Your scalp squeezed your skull. A needle punctured your temple, bringing with it another piercing earth shattering throb. You groaned and became boneless in Gladiolus’ arms. The small town peeked through the desert haze. Before you knew it, you were back at Cid’s garage.
The man in question scowled upon seeing you and your friends. “Back so soon, huh?” He said. “Either yer tougher than you look or you botched the job, so which is it?”
“Uh, neither?”, came Prompto’s perplexed reply.
Gladiolus took a step into the garage, along with the others. The line between your brows smoothed out the moment you were out of the sun’s glaring sight. But your skin was still sticky from the heat, the stifling dry air in the garage did nothing to abate the sweat that slid down your legs.
“We’re still on the job but my girl got hurt, know where the closest hospital is?” Gladiolus said.
The old man scoffed. “There ain’t no hospitals around these parts, that’s for city livin’”.
“Then what should we do? Aera’s hurt!” Prompto cried, his blond brows pulled together in worry.
“Calm down, we have a doctor,” was Cid’s vexed reply. “Leave her here and I’ll make a call.” His crotchety tone rolled over you in waves, you couldn’t believe he was a former acquaintance of the crown. How did king Regis, one of the most polite and kind people you knew, ever associate himself with someone as cantankerous as Cid?
Gladiolus turned towards the others. “You guys go on ahead, I’ll stay here and make sure Aera’s good.”
“In that case we’ll stay too.” Prompto chirped, he turned towards prince Noctis. “No teammates left behind right, Noct?”
Before Noctis could reply, Cid said, “Don’t waste yer breath. Yer friend ain’t gonna keel over from a little scorpion poisoning.” Was it so obvious you were injured by a scorpion? You supposed that would be the most likely conclusion anyone would arrive at, given the gaping hole in your shoulder and the extermination contract in the prince’s hands. “Worse case she’ll be paralyzed in some places come noon. Y’all best run along, medical bills ain’t cheap.”
          “But-”.
Noctis sighed, cutting off his blond friend’s response. “Let’s just get this over with.” He said, crossing his arms in front of his chest. He addressed you next. “We’ll be back, Aera.”
Gladiolus sat you down in the back of the garage where the fluorescent lights didn’t reach. His strong calloused hand brushed the hair away from your face. “We won’t be long, babe.” He promised and kissed you on your forehead.
Something shattered in your chest at the sight of friends disappearing through the sepia haze. You should be there with them. This wasn’t supposed to happen, you weren’t supposed to get injured. Entering the Lucian courts, from day one, it was drilled into you to never get hurt. Keep your distance while your comrades are engaged in combat. You understood the importance of your role as your friends’ healer. If anything were to happen to you, it could equal doom for anyone who depended upon your skills.
As if you haven’t learned the lesson before, you went and committed the biggest error you could’ve possibly made. You slouched in your chair. Anything could happen to Noctis and the others out there and here you were, sitting inside a swelteringly hot garage with an injured shoulder. The attack was avoidable. If only you didn’t get distracted, you would still be out there fighting alongside your comrades. You wonder what they must think of you now.
‘Do you really believe they would keep you in their little boys’ club the moment you become an inconvenience’? The memory of your dream filled your heart with lead. If they begin to view you as a liability what would that mean for you? Your place by their side, your purpose? Marching fiery ants stomped through your chest. Would they even view you as their friend anymore?
The minutes ticked by at a mind-numbingly slow pace. By the time the town’s doctor visited you your arm was completely numb. After injecting you with an antidote he told you you should gradually regain feeling and mobility in your left arm over the next seven days, meaning you were completely useless until then.
A boulder dropped into the pit of your stomach. You couldn’t afford to be away from the action for that long. If anything were to happen to the prince, or Gladiolus, or anyone else you would never forgive yourself. Your throat constricted as though it was being stitched closed from the inside.
It’ll be fine. You told yourself, taking a large inhale before exhaling the stale air. Nothing bad would happen. Your friends would be fine, your arm would be completely healed by the beginning of next week, and you’ll be back in action better than ever.
The muscles in your throat relaxed and you sighed. By seven p.m tomorrow, you and the boys would be onboard the ferry heading for Altissa. Everything should be smooth sailing from there. Sure, it would suck having a dangling useless arm at your side during the wedding, but everything should go smoothly nonetheless. At least you hoped it would.

Flower Garden
I live!
This was a very, very long time coming! I'm sorry I have been absent for so long, I have been in a rutt that I had a really hard time getting out of.
I hope you enjoy!

┍━━━━━━━✿━━━━━━━┑
There was never a quiet moment inside the Amicitia household. Not when there were five children running around. That Astrid would be lucky to get five minutes of peace before cries filled the house because one child got hurt from the roughhousing going on. Doesn’t help that Gladio gifted the children wooden swords that they were constantly swinging at each other. Though, it was to be expected from children of the former King’s Shield. And Astrid wouldn’t want it any other way.
Surprisingly today, the children have been playing in the backyard of the newly renovated Amicitia Estate after the Ten Years of Darkness. A far better set up then what Astrid and Gladio had in Lestallum, with it being overcrowded by those escaping the arsenal of Deamons that were emerging from the shadows. They had nothing more than a shack that was only big enough for the bare necessities. No place to raise a child in any means, but they made it work for their first-born child, Aster. Now seeing the children playing in an open space with sunlight filtering through the canopy of the ancient oak that miraculously survived the siege of Insomnia. No artificial lights that protected against the nightmares of the world. Laughter filling the household as hope and love now returning to a scarred world.
Astrid rubbed her swollen abdomen tenderly as she read from her worn out copy of Watership Down in the sunroom, glancing up ever so often to ensure that her rambunctious horde were all accounted for and that they weren’t causing any serious injuries to another. Much like their father, they didn’t know their own strength. One little push ending up feeling like being hit by an Iron Giant. Thankfully, no serious injuries follow, just scrapes and bruises, but the dramatics make it seem far worse than a scraped knee.
Once she was sure that her children weren’t killing each other and none were missing, Astrid went back to reading. She gave a light grunt as she felt a tiny pair of feet kicking in her womb, “I know you want to join your brothers and sisters, but you have another two months to bake.” She cooed, marking her place in her book, watching as a little foot stretched her abdomen in another kick.
Astrid watched as her stomach rippled as the baby moved about, treating her like a punching bag in the process. She rubbed her stomach in hopes to settle the baby with an affectionate smile. Her gaze shifted toward the sky, the sun was still high with not a cloud in the sky. A blessing that was now never taken for granted. All in part to the sacrifice of Noctis, his last duty as king. A blessing she and Gladio were sure their children would forever appreciate and never take for granted.
“Thank you Noctis,” Astrid whispered, smiling up at the sky, “If only you could be with us now.”
“He’s here.” Astrid turned with a start, relaxing when she spotted Gladio leaning against the doorway of the sunroom, he had dirt and grime on his face and clothing, “He will always be with us. Whenever the sun rises he is there.”
“You’ve gotten sentimental in your old age.” Astrid joked, accepting the chaste kiss on her lips as Gladio stepped toward her. “What happened to the tough Crownsguard, now turned Hunter, that I married?”
Gladio chuckled, falling to one knee before her, leaning his forehead against Astrid’s, “I think you have rubbed off on me Princesa.”
Astrid smiled upon hearing the nickname, relishing in the warmth that Gladio always seemed to radiate. She had missed him. It had only been a week since he left for a hunt close to Lestallum. A behemoth was crouching a little too close for comfort to the city. But that week had felt like years—not knowing if he would come back alive or if the only thing she would have of him would be his dog tags. It helped quell her anxiety when he would go on hunts with Ignis and Prompto. It was a knowing comfort that Gladio had people watching his back as well as him watching theirs.
“Thank you for coming home.” The weight lifted off of her chest, wrapping her arms around Gladio’s neck. As she did, she felt Gladio relaxing his shoulders, easing into her embrace.
He took a long breath, as if he had been holding it in, “I’ll always come home to you.” He lifted his head enough to look up at Astrid. His large, callused hands cupped her cheek as he did, Astrid took hold of his wrist, leaning into his touch so her lips could brush against his palm. “How’s our little bud doing?” His other hand rested on Astrid’s stomach, feeling the little one kicking.
Astrid rested her hand on Gladio’s. “Active as ever, as are the rest of them.” She shifted her eyes toward the yard where the children were now climbing the large oak tree, “So far there are no injuries to report.”
They both laughed at that. Last time Gladio was away from home he had gotten a text from Astrid to let him know that they youngest, Diphylleia had split the bottom of her chin open after she fell when chasing after her twin brother—Campion—which was supposed to be a relaxing outing at the park with Prompto and Ignis’s families. It was a miracle she didn’t need stitches, but just a quick glue job from the doctor and a very proud looking Diphylleia, showing off her chin in the photo Astrid sent Gladio from the doctor’s office.
“I’m rather relieved for that,” Gladio grunted as he got up to his feet. His knees popping in the process, “Wish I could say the same for me.”
Astrid took a quick survey of her husband for any injuries but saw none. But she was sure that he was hiding them under his leather jacket. She would have a better inspection of him tonight when the children were all asleep. “Before or after the children get their hands on you?” she joked, kissing the tip of his nose.
He helped Astrid out of her chair, “Behemoth has nothing on how strong my kids are.”
“Brace yourself.” Astrid waddled over to the screen door of the sunroom that opened to the yard. She stepped out first with Gladio squatting down behind her. “My Flower Garden,” Astrid called out to her children, each of them stopping what they were doing to look at her, “Guess who’s home?”
She stepped to the side, giving Gladio a wide berth as he stretched out wide with an even wider grin. It didn’t even take a second before all five children hopped off the tree and made a mad dash toward him, with the youngest ones up front while the oldest two stayed behind. A formation they all just systematically utilized. Soon Gladio was tackled by his children, barely able to stay up as they all swarmed him in a tangle of limbs, all trying to wrap around him. He did his best to wrap his arms around all five of his kids, with mild success.
No matter how many times Gladio had to leave home for hunts, this is what he would never tire of, and hoped his children would still come running to him. No matter how big they got. He wanted them to enjoy their childhood, something he never had the privilege to. Him being the child of the King’s Shield left to little room for him to be a child. Hours spent training and keeping a vigil over Noctis was all he had time to do. He didn’t want that for his children. Never have them think of duty first before one’s self. Though he may not regret it, it wasn’t a life he would have chosen. Though if any of his children wanted to follow in his footsteps to be a Hunter, he wouldn’t be opposed.
“Alright Flower Garden,” Astrid tried to usher the children off of Gladio, doing her best to contain her own laughter, “Daddy missed you all too.”
One by one they were all peeled off of Gladio with fits of giggles.  Gladio got up with a grunt, his smile never leaving his face, “It seems we raised ourselves a bunch of strong hunters.” Gladio beamed at his brood, “But I think they need some more training.” A mischievous glint shown in his amber eyes. A mischievous grin.
Astrid did her best to stifle her laughter as she watched their children gauging Gladio with confused looks on their faces. “I don’t know, they seem to be ready to take on a behemoth like you did when you were younger.”
“You think so?” Gladio scratched the scruff on his chin in feign thought, “only one way to find out.”
He lunged forward, grabbing hold of the first child within reach, lifting their shirt to expose their belly and progressed to blow raspberries on their soft flesh. He proceeded to make munching noises as if he was eating the hapless child. The rest of the children darted back toward the garden, “Run! A behemoth is loose in Insomnia!” Their shrill laughter filled the yard as Astrid watched on as Gladio charged toward the other children with a roar.
Her flower garden was complete again.

The group of four walked down the steps of the palace entrance, heading to the Regalia parked outside.
Just as the men approached the vehicle, the king’s advisor called out to Noctis: “Your Highness!”
The men stopped on the steps, turning a full 180 to the voice that called out. Noctis stepped in front of the others. The advisor bowed deeply to him, before addressing the rest of his companions.
"Deep apologies. It seems we failed to mention another thing before you all set off.” The advisor straightened up and turned to his right, revealing King Regis beside him.
“Sir, if you may.” He faced the king and motioned with his arm to step forward.
Regis nodded, stepping aside from his advisor and turning to Noctis. “It appears there will be an addition to your journey.” The king enlightened the men.
“They have offered their assistance in the coming events.” He made a silent gesture with his head as if nodding, pointing in the direction ahead of the group.
The men turned their heads in the other direction, curious about who it could be.
Then the sudden thunderous whirring of a bike engine alarmed the four, causing Prompto to instinctively reach for his gun. Despite this, the rest remained calm.
The sound grew louder until it became a cacophony of noise as one motorcycle burst through the courtyard gates. This was followed by another car and another, and another… and another.
They all stopped near the gates while the motorcycle continued towards the palace steps.
As the rider got closer into view, the group could see a few noticeable features. A woman was astride the bike with a black helmet, black leather gloves, leather jacket, and leather boots. The motorcycle matched the all-black aesthetic with a sleek shimmer to the front.
Rock music blared, seemingly from nowhere as the bike slowed almost to a complete stop, but not before drifting cinematically just to show off. As soon as the engine was cut, the motorist dismounted from the bike and took off the helmet.
You walked up the steps to the palace with your helmet in hand, then you stopped right as you approached everyone.
You observed the men just as they observed you. The short blonde was cute, but you had no opinion of him. The tall one with glasses looked lame, and the muscular one was quite handsome.
And of course, you already knew and heard of Noctis, though he didn’t look too enthusiastic to meet you.
King Regis cleared his throat and approached you, taking your side and facing the men. “Gentleman, this is (Name).” He introduced.
The men stared at you for a while, some smiling as if they were excited to see you, some unfazed.
From the corner of your eye, you thought the muscular one looked at you up and down. He seemed curious but also pleased to see you. Grinning to himself, his gaze lingered on you for some time. He added a subtle wink before flickering his gaze at your bike, clearly intrigued.
When you surveyed him back. There was something roguish about his appearance. His hair was styled like a wild, unkempt mullet. A large tattoo covered both arms; you could make out a bird's wings and face. His eyes were the right shade of amber, like honey. And to add to his sculpted features, he had a nice patch of facial hair.
You could tell he was striving for the “bad boy” look. Out of all the four, he caught your eye the most.
Smirking slightly, you ignored his gaze and instead focused your attention on the King. He said, “(Name) has agreed to assist in the coming events. Keep in mind they are here to aid us, not harm us.”
Stepping forward, you outstretched your hand towards the men, “Nice to meet you.” You took a moment to introduce yourself to the two blondes, greeting them with a polite handshake.
However, when you got to Noctis, he refused the handshake. Unwilling to make eye contact, he faced away from you and muttered, "Hey..." before apathetically walking away.
It wasn’t the most eloquent greeting, but you still appreciated the effort. You could tell immediately that Noctis would take a while to warm up to you.
Ignis, who observed the interaction, stepped toward you two. “I apologize for his apathy. He’s not exactly the social type.” He apologized.
“It’s cool, I get it.” You responded with a shrug, giving him an understanding nod.
Then Ignis continued, “Noct will get adjusted to the arrangement in no time. Again, It’s a pleasure to have you joining us.” His tone was polite and hopeful.
You nodded at him again.
Turning your gaze toward others, you spotted the muscular one inspecting your bike. He was bent over, running his hand over the vehicle's side. From your distance, you could hear his tongue click as he grunted in approval of the vehicle.
“Sweet ride ya got here.” He called out to you in a deep tone full of intrigue, his gaze fixed on the bike.
You watched the man feel up your bike before flickering your gaze at Prompto sneakily climbing onto the seat. As desperate as he was to hop on, his attempt failed because he was too short.
Laughing softly to yourself in amusement, you approached the two men with a smirk. “Wanna take her for a spin?” You raised a brow, nudging the muscular one’s side with your elbow.
His brow raised as he glanced at you. First, he stared at you blankly before a small smirk tugged at his lips.
His fiery amber eyes sparkled with charm before he asked, “How fast can she go?” He folded his arms against his chest, standing back up to his full height.
Pleased to know that someone is interested in your lifestyle, you asserted, “Come and find out?” You smirked back, making a gesture to the bike.
The man let out a deep chuckle that nearly caught you off guard, “Only if it's cool with his highness.” He remarked in a murmur, turning and gesturing at Noctis.
Noctis, who was already sitting in the Regalia’s back seat, looked up at the two of you. At first, he gave the man a judgemental glare before shrugging indifferently as he replied, “Do what you want.”
The muscular one made a face at Noctis, then looked back at you and extended one of his previously folded arms, “Name’s Gladiolus. Call me Gladio.” He grinned down at you and shook your hand firmly.
You shook his hand, responding, “(Name).”
He laughed at that, smiling proudly. “No need for introductions, I’ve heard a lot about you.”
You were caught off guard for a moment, “Didn’t know people still talked about me…” You muttered under your breath, blushing a little.
“You kidding, who hasn’t heard of you? (Name), the fabled crowns guard who got exiled for “
Suddenly you stepped on his foot, making him grunt. “Shut it!”
Gladiolus released your hand and placed his own inside the pocket of his leather jacket, muttering a curse to himself before chuckling. “The stories were right.” He remarked.
Turning back to the others, he called out, “Ready to hit the road?”
Everyone nodded in agreement. Ignis hopped into the driver’s seat of the car while Prompto took the passenger’s side. Once everyone was settled, Gladiolus looked at you.
You took your place on your bike, leaving enough room for Gladio to sit behind you. “Hope you don’t mind the arrangement.” You commented, “I’m not used to riding with big guys like you.” Turning the key, you felt the engine purr beneath your feet.
A hum left his lips as he stepped closer to the bike, “I’m sure I’ll get used to it.” He sat behind you, leaning forward slightly to wrap his hands around your waist for support. “You mind?” He uttered directly behind your ear, tightening his grip teasingly.
“Just don’t get too touchy.” You teased in response before pushing the kickstand back with your foot.
You heard Prompto make a gagging sound in response to the two of you flirting, making Gladio turn around to glare at him.
“Excellent.” King Regis spoke, bringing everyone’s attention toward him. Looking at you, he smiled royally, “I appreciate your help, (Name). We’ll leave you to your business now.” He waved kindly at you and the men as you began to make your exit.
Ignis drove the Regalia in front of you, expecting you and Gladio to follow close behind.
As you followed the car, you couldn't help but notice the beauty of the landscape around you.
The city building incrementally became less frequent along the roads, and soon there was only land.
The sun was setting, casting a warm orange glow over everything. The sky was a beautiful mix of blue and pink that complimented the sunset perfectly.
The air became slightly warmer with every kilometer you traversed. Finally, after a few minutes of driving in one direction, you are surrounded by desert sand; ways away from Insomnia.
It felt more comfortable than usual; almost relaxing. Most cars were gone, except for the occasional vehicle passing by. All kinds of creatures roamed the blank terrain.
After about an hour of riding in silence, Gladio decided to break the ice. “You gonna show me how fast this thing goes or what?” He teased, nudging you playfully in your side.
Chuckling lowly under your breath, you pushed your helmet down to hide the playful smile that stretched across your face before answering, “Just hang tight. You’re gonna get a surprise.” Your reply sounded more like a tease.
You revved the engine loud enough for everyone in the Regalia in front to hear it, a playful attempt at startling them.
It worked, they jerked around and turned toward you with shocked expressions. But before they could regain composure, you and Gladio whipped right past the Regalia at impossible speeds.
The wind curved around your helmet but blew through Gladio’s hair wildly. You felt him hold onto you with a death grip while leaning forwards onto you for wind resistance. He grunted from the shock, “Whoa!”
As fast as you went, you knew you could easily run off course and crash. But you kept going; hoping that Gladio was enjoying the ride.
Then laughed as he exclaimed, “Holy shit!”
Prompto’s laughter grew softer the farther you drove away from the Regalia. He stood inside the convertible to catch a glimpse before you were completely out of sight. “That’s so awesome!” He yelled, cheering loudly.
Looking back, you yelled, “Try and keep up!” A laugh escaped your lips as you sped up even more.
Gladio seemed to have gotten used to the speed and held onto you tighter than before. Lost in the fun of it all, you both laughed and cheered.
Your little detour managed to turn into a session for sightseeing. The farther you got from the road, the more interesting the environment became to you.
The land was grazed by all sorts of creatures that you had never seen before. In the middle of nowhere, it was breathtaking.
There were a couple of times when Gladio had to remind himself to breathe when you took the corner unexpectedly, but ultimately, you proved to be an excellent rider.
When you could no longer see the road, you knew it was too late to turn around.
In the distance, you made out the shape of a giant scorpion charging at the two of you. “The hell is that?!” You shouted in awe, pointing at the creature. Even though it was pretty far away, you knew better than to underestimate its size.
Gladio leaned a little closer to look at it too, “Shit. I didn't think those existed anymore.” He grunted after a pause.
A wide grin spread across your lips as another reckless idea came to mind. Tightening your grip on the brake, you slowed down and drifted the bike so that you circled the mysterious behemoth, “Wanna fight it?” You looked back, grinning at the big guy as you finally stopped.
The question caught him off guard. Cocking a brow, his face held a quizzical expression as he looked down at you, “You still know how to fight?” He smirked.
You rolled your eyes, “Please, the beast ain’t that big. Plus, I know my way around a fight.”
Pushing the kickstand down, you and Gladio got off the bike once again. Reaching behind yourself, you pulled out a shotgun from the large holster on your back.
You twirled it between your fingers skillfully before letting it rest in the palm of your hand, “What do you say? Wanna see my skills?” You were beaming with confidence.
“Guns aren’t my thing. I prefer blades.” Gladio responded with indifference. His expression remained stoic as he crossed his arms over his broad chest, “They’re more efficient if you wanna take that beast down.”
“Is that a challenge?” You raised a brow, smirking as you eyed him.
He hesitated for only a second, “Well if it’s one you wanna take on,” Grinning victoriously and whipping out his large blade, he added, “I won’t hold back!”
Then the both of you set off on a race to see who could take the beast down. It was fun.
Neither of you would realize how much you’d bond over the short timespan of knowing each other.
After a quick round of combat, you had the upper hand with your superior weapons.
But it wasn’t over.
You and Gladio were able to land a few quick blows, enough for the beast to fall to its knees.
As quickly as possible, both you and Gladio jumped atop the creature with your weapons ready to strike down at it. “Come on, boy! Give us some blood!” You urged the beast with a snarl.
It roared at you and knocked you back with the force of it. Gladio grabbed the back of your jacket to steady you, “Hold on tight. Don’t let go!” He yelled before swinging his large blade at the beast’s head.
The blade connected with a satisfying hit causing the beast to cry out in agony. You jumped off the creature’s head and landed near Gladio on the ground.
You took the chance to shoot at its joints and neck to make sure the beast could be rendered immobile.
A few more attacks and the challenge would end in a draw. Neither of you could tell who killed it.
After having fun with the beast, it would take another hour for you to regroup with the others.
It was getting close to dusk when you returned. The others were chatting among themselves, seemingly tired and annoyed by your antics. They all stood aside from the Regalia, sharing equal piercing glares in your direction.
Prompto was the first one to exclaim, “Where have you been?! We were looking all over for you two!”
Ignis joined Noctis in his tirade, “We thought we lost you two for good.” He turned his attention completely to you.
He noticed the two of you were covered in monster blood and bruises, which made him narrow his eyes. “You’ve been fighting, haven’t you? Why in the world would you fight alone? What if neither of you came back?”
You couldn’t tell if he was mad at you since his expression never showed a hint of anger, but his voice was laced with sternness.
“(Name),” He sighed, “If you’re going to work with us, you need to take this more seriously. It’s all fun and games now until we’re leading a war against the empire.” His tone was gentle, yet firm as if he was talking down to a child. “We need you to be responsible, not reckless. It’ll get you killed.”
Gladio interrupted, causing Ignis to narrow his eyes at him. “Hey, don’t be so hard on her. So what, we went on a little joyride? We came back in one piece. If anything, it was my idea-“
“You of all people should know better. I wouldn’t have expected you to encourage this. I’m holding you accountable for this as well, Gladio.” Ignis eyed him before turning his attention back to you.
He continued, “She’s right to want to go on these excursions, as well. However, It can be dangerous. Especially when you’re unprepared.”
Your cheeks were burning under his scrutiny. Looking down, you apologized. “I’m sorry. I let the adrenaline get the best of me…”
Gladiolus was about to interject, probably with something sarcastic in reply to the insult, but Ignis cut him off, “To fill you both in, we are camping here tonight at the Hammerhead. Rest up while you can.”
The three walked off towards an RV, presumably the “camp” Iggy mentioned. Leaving just you and Gladio alone.
For a moment, neither of you said anything. Then, Gladio cleared his throat, breaking the silence. “Sorry about that…” His apologetic tone caught your attention.
“Don’t worry about it, man. No harm done.” You replied nonchalantly, kicking up some dirt. You walked back over to your bike and brought it to the fuel station, leaving it there next to the Regalia.
Gladio silently watched as you then made your way into the convenience store, but not before mouthing “Later.”
Moments passed, and you would walk over to where the RV was parked. The lights inside were on and you could make out the silhouettes of the four men.
Deciding not to bother them, you sat in one of the yard chairs out front and cracked a cold one alone.
As the sky began to darken, the air started to feel chilly. Wrapping your jacket around you, you stared into the night sky, thinking things over. Knowing your past, you predicted that something would go wrong. Something always does.
And as you thought about your reputation within the group, especially as a newcomer, your mood turned sour.
Then all of a sudden you heard voices arguing from within the RV. All you could pick up on was, “You should’ve done something,” “She's a liability,” and “She could compromise everything!”
But Gladio’s voice was able to outshine the others, “Giver her another chance!” He demanded. Noctis sighed, “You know her past. She’s trouble.”
“If she was so bad, then why did your father let her come with us?” Gladio snapped angrily, “She has potential. Giver her a chance!” He pleaded.
A few more words were exchanged between the men before Ignis finally spoke out, “We’ll speak about this in the morning. Everyone should get some rest.”
You were grateful that Gladio was willing to stand up for you, but it didn’t help the sinking feeling inside you. Everything you did mess something up. It always did.
You crushed the now-empty beer can and leaned back in the chair, closing your eyes and sighing. “Fuck…”
The door of the RV opened and then slammed shut as Gladio stepped out. His gaze lingered on you before he walked slowly over to the fire pit. Taking a seat next to yours, he gazed into the flames quietly for several long seconds.
You broke the silence with a soft murmur, “They don’t trust me, do they?” Your head hung low as you spoke.
He shook his head no, sighing deeply. “It’s not like that…” He scratched the side of his neck, "They’re just being… cautious.”
Sighing, you placed your chin in the palm of your hand. “I don’t blame 'em….” Your tone had dropped to near a whisper. A sad sigh slipped past your lips, “I’m known for my recklessness… You know how the stories go, I always fuck something up. Charging headfirst into fights.”
Gladio uncharacteristically chuckled, shaking his head. “That’s not how I saw it.” You furrowed your brows at him curiously, causing him to rub the back of his neck sheepishly, “I uh... I mean… I think you’re a total badass, not a failure.”
His voice was much softer than what you were used to, “The stories were right about one thing, you’re a damn good fighter. But everything else was insignificant to that.” He smiled at you gently, leaning back in his seat.
“I’ve never seen anyone who can handle monsters and danger like you do. And I’d bet my life that you know exactly how to use every weapon you have. You’re tough.” He winked and flashed you a grin, hoping to see a smile on your face.
Consequentially you smiled at his words, even if only a little. You hide your face in your hands, not wanting him to see how hard you were blushing. “You mean that?” You asked.
“Of course I do. Don’t you forget it.” You felt his arm wrap around your shoulder as he pulled you closer to him. The warmth of his body was comforting, although you were still embarrassed.
“I just have one question,” He started. “Why did you wanna join us?”
You bit your lip, debating whether or not you should answer. When you finally decided to tell him the truth, you looked him straight in the eye and responded, “I don’t want those stories to define who I am. I want to prove that I can protect something…”
Your head hung again, “But old habits die hard, right?” You added sadly.
Gladio grunted, shifting in his seat, “Don’t feel too bad about today. I was a part of this too.” He laughed a little, “Wouldn’t want you taking all the blame.”
Silence fell upon the two of you yet again. This time, however, it wasn’t quite as awkward. It almost seemed peaceful.
Gladio’s arm stayed draped across your shoulders. He was just starting to zone out when you spoke up again, “Thanks for having my back.”
His brow raised slightly, confused by your statement, “What? You don’t gotta thank me for that.”
"It means a lot to me." You looked at him directly and smiled. Your eyes seemed to sparkle with the moon’s reflection, making Gladio blush a little and glance away.
He cleared his throat, “Don’t mention it.” and continued looking out into space.
You shifted closer, resting your head against his shoulder. He tried his best to stay cool, but he couldn’t help noticing how cute it was.
Both of you watched the stars twinkling above, content to stay sitting together for the remainder of the night.
Neither of you wanted to break the comfortable silence, knowing that it might become awkward if you left. Eventually, you found yourself drifting off. As soon as your breathing slowed down, Gladio followed shortly after, snuggling up close to you. You were so warm, so inviting. He had no desire to leave.
