Did you miss the part where Fiona turns into an ogre and suddenly Lord Fuckwad is like “What is that THING? It’s hideous! Guards, kill it!” like he knew that was still Fiona right? Fiona was willing to work it out and get to know Fuckhead even though she wasn’t crazy about dating a short guy but Lord Fuckboy went right to kill mode when she wasn’t everything he wanted.

Probably one of my fave things about CPC is the fact that Gwen genuinely isn’t conventionally attractive, she’s not just some girl who *gasp* wears glasses and has her hair in a ponytail or something X_X The amount of ”””ugly””” characters I’ve that seen that fall into that trope bruhhh. But as the comic goes on, like Frederick, you get used to her appearance and come to appreciate her as truly beautiful bc of who she is <3

What’s your favorite Shrek movie and why? I’ll go first.

Shrek 2 bcuz with all of its tiny details in the movie like world-renowned labels with diferent names or its resemblance with the American type of living and of course the songs used in the movie...  (don’t even try to mention I need a hero scene, everyone gets excited during that scene) oh my, Shrek 2 literally haunted me and this is a comfort movie for me to relax on the weekends with a cup of tea.

Rewrite vs. Canon: Shrek Forever After

You're in luck cuz this is the sequel to my Third rewrite! 😁😁

We begin four years after the third movie. Artie is now Crown Prince and making good on his promise of helping outcasts while Rhodanthe is studying to become Lady of the Lake. Lately however things have become stressful...

The cast celebrates the triplets 4th birthday party at the Poison Apple.During the party Shrek still does the roar, not because he's forced to, but as his way of teaching his kids their cultural customs. One of the triplets wonders if there are more ogres besides their parents. Shrek sadly replies that except for Fiona, he hasn't met another one in a long time. Fiona is also saddened that their family may be the only ogres left, but reassures them that they still have their friends and everyone else as family.

Meanwhile Rho is running late to gets her present finished - a book of ogres that she made using old manuscripts. During a private lunch date with Artie, Rho asks if he is coming to the party which he replies no. He claims is too busy, but when Rho presses, he snaps and says he doesn't want to be around ogres. Rho protests saying the same ogres helped him and that they're also his family. They argue a bit before Rho storms off to get ready alone.

Artie remains behind, upset because the lunch date was set up to ask her for her hand in marriage. Harold overheard the argument and talks with Artie. He admits he's been feeling a lot stressed than usual lately and that it's been 10 years since his father abandoned him at boarding school. Harold replies that even though Artie's grief is valid, what's not valid is lashing out at his true family. Realizing his actions Artie decides to resolve things but is called to the royal court.

Rhodanthe hitches a ride with Gwynn & Charming: the latter forced to come or else Gwynn gets Doris to babysit him. During the ride Rho vents out her issues. Gwynn and Charming gives out romantic advice that Rho doesn't find useful. They make it to the party, Fiona asks where Artie is and Rho snarky replies he has work. She presents her book to the kids. While they gush over the gift Rho and Fiona have a little sidechat; Rho admits he doesn't want to come because he thinks he's too good for them. Fiona is hurt by this and says he'll talk to him, but Rho needs to keep a good face as they're meant to celebrate.

Artie is visited by a mysterious guest who reveals himself to be Rumplestiltskin. Rumple says he has a debt to pay and reveals Artie's dad, Uther. Artie immediately sends the guards to arrest them but suddenly, Rumple casts a spell....

Shrek wakes up back in his old swamp without Fiona or the kids. Panicking, he sets out to find them. But when he goes to the village he is chased out. Then he gets pursued by a mysterious black knight and captured by the witches. He learns that Rumple made a deal with Uther to become king before Fiona's curse was broken, to cash in on a previously failed deal between him and Fiona's parents.

Meanwhile Gwynn, who is actually a witch this time, gets fed up with Rumple and Uther's jerkassery and decides to quit. She frees Shrek along with Donkey (her only friend). She believes that they need magic rivaling Rumple's to undo the spell.

They meet the Resistance made up of ogres, fairytale creatures, mages and human sympathizers. Their leaders are: Fiona, who still has her curse; Puss, who wants to avenge Kitty Softpaws; Rho is also there as their healer; she was taken in by the ogres after Merlin was killed trying to protect her. Shrek is happy to find other ogres and vows to protect them and restore the timeline.

Over time Fiona loses her cynicism partly due to shrek's kindness, and feelings of deja vu. But there'd atill the matter of the black knight. After a particularly brutal fight Shrek manages to take off his helmet, revealing to be none other than Artie. Years of bullying drove him to the home of his half sister Morgana le Fay. Artie studied under her but when the promise of gaining his father's respect and vengeance on his bullies grew too much, he sold her out and offered his services as an ogreslayer. He also goes by Mordred (in his own words it sounds like "more dread")

Now with "More Dread" as a hostage, the rebels continue their journey. Rho tries to open up to him but he's too bitter to listen. It's not until Rho saves him that the ice starts to break. It helps Fiona reveals that she and Artie are cousins and he also has beef with Uther. Upon realizing the scope of Uther's actions, and what he did based on his obsession with respect, Artie agrees to help.

Back at Uther's place Charming is a puppet king in a loveless marriage to Rapunzel. He goes with the witches to capture the ogres and bring them to the castle, but the rest of the rebels escape. Rumple offers a wish to anyone and Rho decides to go while Shrek pretends to be her hostage. Rumple is about to grant her wish but Uther recognizes her and calls out the the ruse. The witches almost hurt her until Artie steps up to protect her. Meanwhile Gwynn and the rest of the rebels storm the palace; during a brief battle with the witches, Gwynn saves Charming and he instantly falls for her. He decides to help her just to find a reason to escape his control freak of a dad, and they help the rebels.

The other ogres free Fiona, but then Uther reveals his trump card: Dragon. While the ogres and witches team up to stop Dragon. Artie and Rho double duels Uther and Rumple; Artie manages to knock out Uther but is knocked out by a cheap shot from Rumple. Angered Rho unleashes a burst of pure blue magic overpowering the twerp and silencing the battlefield.

The ogres and rebels restrain Dragon. Rho goes over to Artie. They exchange apologies but just as Artie about to take hus last breath Rho's true love restores him. Not only that her full power manages to undo Rumple's spell.

Now back at the party Rho is shaken up by a impromptu splash of water from Doris. She says the party is still going on and Rho believes it's all a dream. She goes inside and continues to have fun. Just then Artie arrives and after saying sorry to Shrek and Fiona, he reveals he has made the Swamp an official safe haven for everyone. It turns out more ogres have started to live publicly After hearing Shrek and Fiona's story. Artie has brought some over to celebrate with them, to Rho's surprise the same ogres that were part of the Resistance. As a last touch he and Rhodanthe make up for their past disagreement before Artie gets down on one knee and proposes to her. ...Rho tearfully accepts it and kisses him. The triplets are ecstatic to see more ogres AND having a new cousin.

Everyone cheers and parties well into the night, humans ogres and fairytale critters now united as one.

And the post ending scene has Uther back in jail with a new cell mate...Rumple. According to Merlin, Turns out Rho's magic was so strong it undid Rumple's spell AND removed his ability to make deals completely. Even Rumple has to admit he's impressed and begins to talk while a defeated Uther can only seethe...

And there you have it that is my rewrite of Shrek 4!

I’m having some issues with it. Like I feel like his eyes might be too close together? I’m not entirely sure why I’m so unsettled by it, honestly. It genuinely might be because of the whole smooth skin thing, but I’m not sure. Either way, I’m not a fan.
