O'Shaserra and Oe-hei and Oe-ken-yon in the Vior'la Sept colors

I'm really happy with how she turned out and definitely worth the effort! Such a detailed miniature too! which was both nice and frustrating (panel-lining and edge highlights).

Also after reading the Patient Hunter novel I couldn't paint her without helmeted option as Nurgle loves Characters without helmets but the T'au learn quick! (also with helmet she just looks cute with the stealthsuits! I'll leave the empty base joke up to yourself this time lol)

So, had a kick of drawing fullbody art of characters, and did 2!

Some T'au OCs with some artistic liberties sprinkled on top. I gave them stripes because I am an artist and I like to have fun. I think stripes work well on them.

So this is Shas'El Galudd and his apprentice; Ten'sha. Galudd is the type of guy to pick favourites among his students. Ten'sha is his favourite of all his pupils and so she has the honour of working for and right beside him at all times. Ten'sha believes this puts her on the right path of becoming a fully fledged commander herself.

i want to show some fucking appreciation for amita suman. inej was most likely forced to strip in front of clients while at the menagerie. and i think amita’s acting shows that, her facial expressions in this scene show that she’s thinking of the last time she had to do this, there’s a hardness in her expression. but when she sees the kaz is turned away, his eyes averted, her gaze softens

I know like everyone is taking about the casting of Annabeth as black, which I'm more than ok with. but ever since she was cast, I know we've all seen the blatant racism, but I've also noticed art of white Annabeth (still a valid interpretation) or white cosplayers are getting flooded with comments along the lines of

"this is EXACTLY how I pictured Annabeth"

"this is MY Annabeth"

"the true Annabeth"

we all know what you are trying to communicate even if you aren't saying it directly. stop it.

and for everyone who is saying "I'd be just as upset is they casted a POC character as white!" I'll give you the benefit of the doubt and say you would.

but those characters race is important.

for representation.

for their background

it's important that Leo is Mexican because his grandfather went to a school for colored children, where he met Hazel.

it's important that Hazel is black because of the culture shock she gets when she comes to the 2000s in terms of racism.

it's important that Frank is Chinese because it is how he is decended from Neptune.

it's important that Piper is Cherokee because she carries all the lessons and parables she got from her uncle with her throughout her story.

it's not important that Annabeth is white because the only thing important about her appearance is that people underestimate her because of it. you know a demographic that is often disrespected and underestimated for their appearance? black people, especially black women.

Leah Jeffries is not a "diversity hire" and it absolutely disgusting behavior to say she is. she is a twelve year old girl who already has an acting career and worked hard to get where she is.

Leah, i can not wait to see what you'll do with Annabeth.
