you loved your boyfriend with all your heart. and once you got married, you didn’t think you could love him any more then you already did but the thought that you have the title of his wife and he has the title of your husband made you even more happy then you were prior.

but you had a secret. your secret was that you were immortal.

ever since you were little, you were always scared of getting too close to anyone because you were afraid you were going to get too attached and when they finally passed, you would have to deal with the pain forever. so you thought it didn’t matter to have anny friends or a partner if they’re just gonna die in the end (terrible, i know but that’s just what you thought).

but that thought vanished ever since you met your husband, shinra. you couldn’t think of a time in your relationship where he didn’t make yo laugh so hard that tears were falling from your eyes. he always put your happiness before his no matter how much you protest. and he always knows how to cheer you up every time you’re sad and always cuddles up with you first before asking what’s wrong.

most of these times you were sad was because you were scared of losing him and not being able to be with him after death which you couldn’t exactly explain to him because you were waiting for the right time to tell him you were immortal.

but that time never came.

each time you thought you were getting close to revealing your secret, you would freak out and overthink everything. you even went as far as to think that he would leave you after you told him.

these thoughts would tear at you for months leaving you silently crying next to him some nights.

the eye bags that would appear as a result of your crying would leave him concerned, wondering if you were getting enough sleep. but you brushed it off, coming up with a lie on the spot.

but the final straw was on your 2 year anniversary, when he planned a whole day of activities when you were feeling down and not in the mood for anything. yet you didn’t want his planning to go to waste or for him to start worrying so you forced a smile and partially forgot about your worries.

after all the activities, you completely forgot about what was troubling you and you had the best day ever in a while. you even convinced shinra to go to the family bathroom at the amusement park to do a little more than kissing..

while he was driving to head home, he suggested that you both renew your vows to each other at home because he had done some research and found it was supposed to “strengthen relationships” which he saw as an enhancement to your already perfect relationship.

you agreed to his suggestion, smiling at your raven haired husband, leaning over to give him a kiss on the cheek and pulling back to take in his gorgeous features. earning you a sharkish grin from him and a streak of blush on his face which you think is the cutest. oh how you love making him flustered over small things.

“you truly are the best husband in the world, you know that?” you said with loving eyes “i don’t think i could ever live without being with you. you make living in this shitty world way more tolerable.” you said fighting back tears by turning to look out the window.

“you ok, my love? i think you’re hiding something from me aren’t you? i don’t want you to feel the need to hide anything from me just please.. tell me what’s wrong.” he said while he drove into your guy’s garage with one hand on your thigh as an instinct he does whenever you wear anything that shows your legs (he just loves his wife’s thighs !!)

when he finally parked into the garage, it was way, way too quiet in the car. to fill in the silence you picked a random radio station and put the volume up to an 8 just so it was barely audible but at least the silence was gone just a bit. by coincidence, the song “bleeding love” by leona lewis was playing and you thought the lyrics hit too close to home. it’s it’s about a woman whos been hurt in the past and in order to stop herself from getting hurt shes closed her heart off to the world. until she met this man that made her melt and see love in a different light again. this was your mom’s favorite song and she explained the meaning of this song and it stuck with you ever since.

“soo.. you wanna tell me why you’re crying?” he said leaning forward so he could see your face. “honey i’m not crying i promise.” you said holding back tears “then can you at least look at your handsome husband?” he said when you turned and gave him a weak smile.

“alright let’s go inside” he said getting out the car and then walking to the passenger side to open the car for you.

you both walked inside when you got a vision of you telling him you were immortal which ended up going well. you then realized you were freaking yourself out for no reason and decided that he had to know eventually.

before he went upstairs to your room, you grabbed his arm, catching him off guard as you looked down scared to look him in the eye. “i do.. actually have to tell you something.”

“ok baby just let me know when you’re ready.” he said walking upstairs letting go of the grip on his arm.

you had a sick feeling in your stomach. should you tell him? should you not tell him? should you lie about the whole thing? your mind was racing and you didn’t know what to do.

after a lot of thought (you took about 10 minutes) you decided that you were gonna tell him and he would just have to accept you for who you were.

you made your way upstairs. it felt like time had slowed down as you went into your bedroom where your husband had already made himself comfortable.

you walked to the bed, shinra not knowing you even entered the room as he was focused on his favorite tv show.

you got on the bed next to your husband, sitting up while he layed on his back with his arms behind his head giving you a peak of his v line and abs from his slightly lifted shirt.

his v line alone almost distracted you from what you were supposed to be doing but you quickly snapped out of it and tried not to look at them.

“baby?” you said not even looking him in the eye.

“yes, my love?”

“will you promise what i say wont change anything between us?” still not looking at him.

“depends what it is” he said smiling. “wait.. ARE YOU PREGNANT” his eyes lighting up in an instant sitting up in anticipation for your answer.

“no honey i’m not pregnant. yet.” you felt so bad letting this man get so excited for no reason. you promised yourself you would give him a mini shinra or a mini you soon.

“damn you got me excited baby” he said chuckling even though he was disappointed.

“i’m sorry..” you felt really bad but you had to tell him the thing that was on your chest.

“so i don’t know how to say this but i’m gonna try” you took a deep breath mentally preparing yourself.

“so when i was born, i had a disease which made me so sick, the doctors didn’t think i would make it to my first birthday. the medicine they used didn’t work at all and my parents were stressed. they didn’t know what to do. until an anonymous doctor dropped off medication and told the nurses that the medication he had for me was guaranteed to work but had one drawback. immorality.” shinra’s eyes widened at that part.

“my parents were a little skeptical but what choice did they have? so they decided to try this new medicine and i got better instantly. the doctors thought this was a true miracle thta you were able to survive this uncureable disease. but the doctors wanted to know if the immortal drawback was true which my parents didn’t want to test cuz their daughter just survived a deadly disease. why would they risk that? but you wanna know what the doctors did? they went behind my parents back and gave me a lethal dose of poison which was guaranteed to kill me which obviously didn’t work, proving i was immortal. when my parents found out what they did from a nurse that saw everything, they sued the hospital for experimenting on me and won the law suit. my story was all over the news and didn’t die out until years later when i was about 5 years old.” you were looking at your hands, tears falling on them desperately trying to hide your face.

“can you please look at me y/n” he said lightly grabbing your chin to look at him.

you looked at him with tear filled eyes not knowing how he’ll react. “why did you hide this from me y/n? you know i could never stop loving you. and i couldn’t liive without you. that’s why i married you my love. and i’m so happy that now we can be together. forever.” you looked at him with confusion at the last part.

“but i’m immortal? and i’m pretty sure you’re mortal, right?” you looked at him with a confused expression awaiting his answer.

“remember our wedding vows? till death do us part? i guess that part was sort of a lie.” he said scratching the back of his head with a nervous expression.

“wh- whaddya mean??” you were trying to piece together what he was saying.

“you still don’t get it? guess i’ll show you. i haven’t done this in a while since i married you so i might be a little rusty” if you thought you confused before, this tops it all. he got off the bed and stood infront of you. after a couple of seconds of silence, your husband had transformed into red skinned, muscular built monster which shocked you nonetheless. he had demon horns coming out of his forehead. the only thing that stayed the same was his spiky hair but the color changed from his iconic black to a glowing white. you had to admit, seeing him like this changed something in you. his new look had you questioning why he has been hiding this panty dropping look for so long. you were even more attracted to him and you didn’t even think that would be possible.

“so whaddya think? you’ve been staring at me for a while i was getting nervous” he said with the same sharky grin he has.

“i think.. you should stay like this forever honey. i can’t keep my eyes off you even if i wanted to” you said looking at him with so much love and admiration.

“and you didn’t feel this way before? wowww ok” he said sarcastically while you sucked you teeth in annoyance.

“but in all seriousness, yes i’m immortal like you apparently. and you don’t know how happy i am that i found someone that is going through exactly what i’ve been going through. believe it or not i’ve been scared to tell you about my powers and immortality for the same reason you-.” before he could finish his sentence you ran up to him and gave him and hug practically jumping on him when you caugtt you by holding you thighs carrying you in his arms.

you’ve been holding back your tears for so long you just broke down. you couldn’t hold back anymore. you cried into the crook of his neck not caring about anything at the moment, only your lover.

“please don’t cry baby. i hate seeing my wife sad” he said holding back tears of his own.

“i’m not sad im really relieved actually. i can’t believe the love of my life understands me on a level no one else could” you said placing kisses all over his face.

“i love the new you. you should remain like this.” you said with a smirk.

“you really think it looks good? in that case i might as well stay like this if it’s affecting you like this.”

he put you down after and asked if you still wanted to renew your vows.

for the rest of the night you both renewed your vows, cuddled and watched movies together, gossiped about celebrities, shinra showed his powers, and you both made cookies.

it was a very chill and relaxing night. knowing you could finally rest easy.
