#simblr #ts4 legacy #valentine gen 4 #fun fact for context on why i care so much abt him finally choosing to play the piano on his own #but it's gonna get Long so strap in #basically. the guitar he used to have had been with him since he was like...... my god. probably about 15 #he bought it at a yard sale for pennies from an older woman #it belonged to her late son originally and it wasn't even . supposed to be a part of the sale in the first place. she just took a liking to #devin and figured that really it's better in the hands of someone who would use it than for it to collect dust in her garage forever #and he couldn't really practice at home. his parents... are not exactly the kindest people you've ever seen #he was too afraid of them destroying or throwing it away so he'd sneak off to god knows where and learn how to play it from old #youtube videos on his busted up phone #it quickly became Everything to him. his most prized possession. and it wasn't a shitty guitar either. the son was a professional musician #that's how ellie and devin met in the first place. he was playing at the market she used to sneak out to in the evenings to #and she instantly knew . this boy is going places and really they might as well go together #enough backstory of the backstory. long story short: he was struggling to make rent eventually and was out of vinyls to pawn off #so he had no choice left. it was either that or he'd get kicked out along with his sister. who was still struggling a lot w/ addiction #so he sold it. and it broke him. he's literally just not been the same since losing it #his sister stole him a guitar from a music shop she'd go to sometimes but it just wasn't the same and he had not played an instrument since #until now anyway #still not a guitar. but maybe someday #or he can find his old one and buy it again......... #lmfao if you made it here congrats. you win nothing bc im broke but i do respect you

About my "Never Be The Same" (NBTS) Limoreau fic:

Just realized I've been mentioning it but did really go into what it's about/the basic idea of it. I've been writing this fic since January when a friend convinced me I should write it. It's the Limoreau/Gen V fic I wanted to read, and I had never really written a fic (that I planned on posting) before, which is why I've been holding on to it/working for a while now. I want it to actually be good. Or at least consumable, lol.

So yeah, basically, it's a cannon divergence from the finale of the first season (no white room), basically picks up a couple of days after the events of the finale. I wanted to write a fic about what it would be like if they had a chance at a "normal" life. Or as normal as it can be. Vought still exists and they're still a bunch of bastards, but Jordan and Marie's goals are no longer aligned with wanting to be in The Seven. Emma has a chance to do things how she wants to (none of the bullshit with her mom and Vought). And Andre also has an interesting arc going on imo.

It's gonna be a long, multi chapter fic. There will be time skips. Basically working our way through their lives, with a special focus on Marie and Jordan and how their relationship unfolds as they grow up and find their places in the world, growing into their own people and all that jazz. There will be angst!!! So much that I start out with a lot of soft fluff shit, lol. But by chapter 6 / 7 angst starts coming in full force. Which is fun for me, but yeah. There will be tears, I apologize.

So yeah, we're (Jordan and Marie) will go through some shit, but don't worry, eventually things even out and we get to see how they are together as proper adults with, like, fully developed brains and maybe some therapy skills. We love that for them.

Emma's gonna be fine. Doing great actually. She deserves it.

And I don't want to give too much away about Andre quite yet. Gonna have to wait and see for that.

(Vought being a bastard is a big theme in the first saga [for lack of a better term], but we deal with that too, trust.)

(right place, wrong time, is also an overarching theme for the lovely couple.)

That's about as much as I can say to sell you on reading this fic, lol. I've just been working really hard on it and I've had a lot of support and help from a good friend ( @paperdoll201 , love you 💜) along the way. And according to them it's a good read so far, which is great to know. So yeah, like I said before I'm gonna start releasing chapters after I reach a certain checkpoint in the story (when the angst hits hard), which is basically already done with. (like a chapter or two left to write).

So I think I can say with certainty that I'll start releasing chapters sometime next month. So I hope it's worth the wait and the hype I'm giving it, lol. Even if it's not, I hope at least someone enjoys the read. This ship has me by the neck, I'm only doing what the dreams are telling me to do.

Damn, is it just impossible to find the Skulltimate Secrets Series 1 dolls now? So far it's the only SS line that I like, and I was really hoping to at least get Drac, but now they're all impossible to find.

#if it didn't cost so much??? like dear god it took about my first two paychecks when I bought it as a thing to treat myself after working #like a straight uo month to get it. this system is really good if you mainly buy all of your games on steam #it works for older games and newer gen games as far as I've tested with it #it costs less than valve's fucking VR system I'll tell you that much #its very cross compadble when it comes to multiplayer games as far as I've played a bit in my experience. just have to get creative with #using the touch screen it has in addition to it #its a decent investment as long you keep it safe #alongside having working bluetooth is still has a port where you can put your headphones in if its wired #and a memorycard slot (as long you do your research. it works with most third party stuff as far as Im aware) #I do think they're still having a game sale since its summer time rn #so the highest quality one is like five hundred rn instead of 600 (as of writing this on july 8th anyway lol)

and that’ll do. the Legend tournament is exactly the same as it was in Dusk, i guess not everything can have something or another change, but still. honestly gotta say, a bit disappointed with how much was the same. the Gaiomon fight could’ve been changed. oh well.

anyways, here’s the team! Puttimon couldn’t be gotten until Highlight Haven in the post-game, and i kinda always planned Elvis being King Chessmon. Fe Ar could’ve easily have been Metal Etemon as well, it was always a toss up between that and Metal Garurumon. Blend and Antares were the easy two: no DNA digivolving, no shenanigans, just straight forth. Dorugoramon is a beast.

which leaves HB and Arpeggio as the odd two. i think, after a few DNA digivolutions, it’s possible that the stats just fall behind if the “material“ mons used don’t keep up, so considering i DNA digivolved Arpeggio thrice in the end, it’s noticeable. still, it’s a fun system, but it really is something to be kept in mind. that said, HB got his in 1 DNA-volution, so it never fell behind much. Giga Seadramon is awesome.
