I don’t think I can keep listening to mitski anymore. It’s getting too relatable, that I’m not even bending some of the meanings, or perspectives, or anything. It’s just relatable. Class of 2013? Because dreaming costs money, my dear? First Love/Late Spring? I’m hurt. No. That’s an understatement. I fell of the ledge I’m on, and fell into a traffic cone.

when mitski said "one word from you and i would jump off of this ledge i am on, baby. tell me "don't", so i can come crawl back in" and taylor said "i think about jumping off of very tall somethings, just to see you come running and say the one thing i've been wanting but no" and you knew how they were telling you that no one is going to come save you, no matter how much you beg.

kageyama x hinata
It was a cold, rainy afternoon. After high school, the team had sadly split up and left for college, though most of the couples rented apartments together. Kageyama and Hinata were one of these couples. It was afternoons like these that were Kageyama's favourite. He loved watching Hinata doze off randomly, or drink his tea, or read a book, in his eyes, he was beautiful no matter what.
Hinata sat in his armchair with one earbud in, softly humming ‘First love/Late spring’ by Mitski. He sipped his tea. Kageyama walked over to him and sat down at the leg of his armchair. He put his head on Hinata's thigh, and Hinata started playing with his hair out of habit. “What happened, Tobio?” he asked, twirling Kageyama's hair around his finger. “Nothing,” he whispered. “I just wanted to talk to you.”
“Tell me something,” he said. “What?” Hinata asked. “Anything. I just like hearing your voice.” he said, and Hinata could feel his smile against his thigh. “Okay. When we were in college, I read this quote that said ‘the first time men get flowers is at their funeral’ and I totally freaked out. That’s why I gave you flowers every day for the first three semesters.” he said.
Tobio smiled and looked up at her, his eyes sparkling with affection and amusement. "You know you're a man too, right?" Kageyama said. Hinata shrugged and got off the chair, cautiously putting his book and mug aside on the coffee table, unplugged his earbuds, and sat down next to Kageyama. They stared at each other, and Kageyama smiled until Hinata leaned in and pressed his lips against his.
Kageyama's heart exploded, like it always did. No matter how many times he kissed him, his heart always did backflips, his stomach got butterflies and his knees got weak. The way he could feel Hinata's breath gently fanning his cheek, his nose awkwardly bumping against his, and their heart rates speeding up would never get old. He couldn’t fathom how he loved this man so much.
Suddenly, it was over. Hinata grabbed his hand and pulled him out to the balcony. "Shouyou?” he asked, but he let himself get swept away by Hinata. His fluffy tangerine hair got soaked immediately by the rain, and ‘My Love Mine all Mine’ played in the background from his phone. “May I have this dance?” he said.
The minute he looked up at Kageyama with sparkles in his gorgeous brown eyes, he knew it was all over. He would do anything, just to see them shine up at him like this forever. “Okay.” he whispered.
They waltzed together as the rain poured down on them, not giving a damn as to how they were getting soaked or what the world thought of them. In this moment, it was just them. And they had never been so in love.
