I was so frustrated late last night. I wrote a one shot based on this post and I pasted it into ao3 and had it all set up to post except for the end note I think. (Which takes a while btw, for anyone who hasn’t done it. There’s tags and characters and the rating and maybe adding the collection tag. And then there’s authors notes and summary. And in this case I also had to link the inspiration post. 😮‍💨) so anyway, got that almost all done and then my son started talking to me and I got stuck in one of his endless loops for almost an hour! (He’s ASD and this is a common thing for him) When I came back to my laptop the google chrome app had shut down because my no screen time setting had kicked in for the night. And when I opened it back up the posting page was blank. Everything wiped and not in drafts since I hadn’t quite gotten to save it yet. At that point I was dead tired and it was too late to start over. 🥺😩😤

But anyway, a real feelsy and foreshadowing one shot is coming later today. So look out for that. 🥴

I haven’t played a sapphic book on choices for a while because my YT subs have been picking the male sprites. So I thought I’d play First Comes Love with a female LI. Given I’m the female LI’s are usually better looking than the male LI’s on I thought this wouldn’t be a problem. Only one of course it’s this book I like the look of the male LI more. Of course it bloody is.

Y'all. I bought the Nintendo Switch in the height of quarantine to play Animal Crossing. I recently got Pokemon Scarlet and I was very happy.

MY HUSBAND HAS TAKEN OVER AND I CAN'T PLAY UNLESS HES NOT HOME.

Struggling to find a decent set of earphones. I liked the original round Apple ones. They sat comfortably and had a decent sound.

Sadly it seems all anyone wants to sell are the ones that sit inside the ear. I find these uncomfortable for the most part. The Apple ones were OK, except they slip out after a while.

Not sure a full-over-the-ear set of cans is a good look though. And it comfortable on a walk.

I’ll keep looking.

On an immersion break note,

I am trans and have been actively transitioning socially and medically now for most of my life.

Being misgendered use to both me enough to suppress my preferred aesthetic expressions. Now, more settled in my identity, it's annoying but like nats are annoying.

What bothers me *significantly* more are people who read my *phonetically spelled* name and cannot pronounce it correctly. To the extent of substituting unrelated letters.

When I only say my name and someone doesn't catch it, that's fine. Audio processing issues abound, I have them myself.

My name is two syllables and is spelled like it sounds. It's not a terribly uncommon name (anymore) and it is often typed when people can't say it. What kills me most is that my last name, I think, is significantly more complicated, but that's the one people are fine with.

Rest assured if I change my name (irl) again, I'm chucking the anglesized spelling. I'll give people a reason to struggle.
