Who else got a Malkavian Prince? It's good fun and makes what I do easier. My prince, She's no fishmalk, mind you, but she is more intriguing than any blue blood or diva I've ever met.

My city is like many Cammy locales, an enigmatic Prince supposedly ruling over the area while the Primogen keep the city under control.

It's not that our Prince is a fool, far from it, she just has very little interest in the traditions or other Princely business. How she keeps her station is beyond me, but when our last Prince met his demise about a decade or so ago, she was appointed to the role. Prince Viktorija wants to give of the vibe that she's a new kind of Prince for a new kind of Camarilla but I don't think anyone buys it. She's planning something, has something in the works I know it. But I haven't been able to find a drop of information. Maybe it's time for some sycophantic acting. I keep an eye on most Elysia, but rarely attend, and even more rarely make myself known.

Fanfic spoilers for my stuff/ Yunessa but I'm stuck in line waiting for my car to get fixed so I need to write something. So it's time for Yunessa facts. You've been warned.

Yunessa hates mongrel food. Not because it's bad, but because Yunessa has had it so many times after they wake up below the caves.

Yunessa likes fruit flavored liqours or alcoholic teas. They've never been a fan of wine or beers. They crave sweets.

Yunessa 's favorite meals almost always have some form of meat and a thick sauce.

Yunessa is terrible at healing magic. So terrible that it's like pouring massive amounts of water through a sieve. They could help, but really it wouldn't be that helpful. If at all.

Yunessa is impulsive and prone to listening to absurd plans. This tends to work out because impressive unfathomable stupidity can be mistaken for genius when it works spectuarlly well.

Yunessa has no idea what fashion is and will happily wear what to they think looks nice, durable, and "bard like".

It's important to be able to wake up quickly in the morning rather than dallying about. There's a crusade to be had after all. Yunessa either whistles or will play their own version of 'hot cross buns' in an attempt to subtly train the others to wake up quickly. This works more for Daeran than the others.

Yunessa would love cursed memes. Cursed memes make the world better.

Yunessa 's humour is dry and, when they get to know someone well, it will be revealed that their humour can be quite cutting and dark.

Yunessa likes candies. Bright colorful candies. No candy is safe with Yunessa around.

Yunessa can be eternally patient if the need arise, ignoring impulses to focus on the task at hand.

Yunessa cares very little what gender they're called. But they are very particular about being addressed by their name. They picked their own name and not using that, or a title that is theirs (i.e. commander, bard, or say, Woljif calling them 'chief') is a quick way to get on Yunessa's petty shitlist.

Yunessa will devour books and knowledge if given the opportunity. No bard should deprive themselves of knowledge, so they reason.

Yunessa has no desire to find out who they were pre-curse/memory loss. A dead man, Yunessa will reason, is a dead man. Also they like who they are. They place a lot of value on that.

Yunessa is a sucker for animals. They're banned from feeding Soot because Soot is getting chunky from begging Yunessa for food.

Yunessa's temperr is akin to a teakettle. If you cut it off before the steam makes the kettle whistles then you're fine. If the teakettle whistles then Yunessa won't forget this.

Yunessa will happily sit next to you in silence for hours, just vibing. If nothing is said that's fine.

Yunessa likes watching nobility for the sheer weirdness of what they are and their funny rules.

Yunessa can use a bow well but doesn't prefer it.

Yunessa is prone to falling ill when the weather changes rapidly.

Spite is a motivator that can be stronger than anything else.

Perfectly chaotic neutral. They value their freedom. Good or bad, right and wrong mean nothing- freedom is the goal. That doesn't mean they'll lean towards evil deeds or go the fishmalk route. Yunessa values what they deem important and will prioritize that. Their freedom to choose is important. Trying to force them into a choice will inspire resentment and grudges that will die long after your grandchildren do.

Yunessa doesn't like theatre plays.

Yunessa hates being muddy worse than being cold or wet.

Yunessa craves coffee as much as they do sweets.

Oddly, Yunessa has very nice handwriting.

Decent with a sword and better with cantrips.

Finished Archer and...wow the way it ends is so underwhelming, you can tell they were told that 14 would be the last season and that they had more planned. I will say that I liked some bits of it but the finale being underwhelming isn't surprising and is kind of a microcosm of why I stopped loving the writing once Adam Reed stepped back. I get why he took a backseat and don't begrudge him for it (that much), but from 10 onwards you can tell it's a different group of people at the helm and I just do NOT like how things changed.

I hate the overuse of the term Flanderization but post-Mallory leaving, all of the cast feels off. I like the idea of a lot of shit that the later seasons did, like Lana getting her dream job as head of the Agency and realizing it isn't what she hoped, Cyril and Archer weirdly being friends (only for it to completely disappear after a single episode), Barry and Other Barry being separate entities, etc. I don't hate Zara but I definitely don't like her, and even if the show continued idk if I would have grown to like her.

Cheryl just becomes your average FishMalk with the one interesting development being her learning about demolitions. Apart from that, she's just lolrandom and violent. Ray was the perfect character to replace Lana in the field but they don't do anything with him, and much like Adam Reed he's barely in the series as much as he used to be. And speaking of Lana, everything that happens to her seems like it should have worked in theory but I just don't think she felt like Lana? Struggling to be a good mother, realizing she's turning into Mallory, trying to steer the Agency towards missions to do good in the world, ending with a cat-and-mouse chase with Archer and her wishing he could have said he appreciated her ten years ago (I also hate that THAT is the last thing Archer says to her as the love of his life. I'm paraphrasing, what he actually says is "I'll miss hearing what you have to say about stuff" which is so generic that it could have been said to any other character. Why not have him quietly say "I love you" or something more personal???). All of it could and should have worked but it just hit in a different and less satisfying way.

Yes, really. I’m not joking and I have three points:  1. I’m one inconsistent bitch with a brainrot;  2. I need my delusions and escapism cuz man do four blood-sucking dudes sound more in-reality than whatever the fuck is going on in the actual real world around me rn;  3. I forgot what was the third point. It’s all the more absurd given just in the summer of this year I was certain I wouldn’t come back to it any time soon. What can I say...life do be like that. A fun little story of its own, but I’ll leave it out of this post. For now, let me share with you what I’ve been planning, what’s staying and what’s changing and how I’ll be approaching this AU/blog this time around. 

So, to start off...

The 🅱️ has to go: 

While still set in Vampire the Masquerade (World of Darkness) universe, the renewed version of this crossover AU won’t have anything to do with Bloodlines video game. Don’t get me wrong, I love Bloodlines still very much, it’s the game with most of my replays and what got me into VtM in the first place. But also, it is restricting, trying to align everything with its small setting/scope and, let’s be honest, doesn’t make much of a sense. Eddsworld’s British, the hell are they all doing in America? XP 

The tag is now eddsworld vtm au, without the letter b. 

What else gets thrown out? 

Plot: Pretty much all of it. I came up with the biggest plot points and am currently rewriting the entire script. At its core it’s still “four dudes tolerate each other’s shenanigans to survive and later learn they kinda don’t feel like chopping each other’s heads off (friendship goals)” but the rest...out the window it goes. 

Setting: As I said earlier, it’s weird. So with the help of Fall of London V5 book and some other sources of info on London in VtM, I moved the cast back to where they belong. 

Characters and character writing: This one might surprise you, but I really, REALLY don’t like the way I did them back then. I can’t revisit old comics/the demo without cringing so hard my face breaks XD Fishmalk Edd gives me most pain if I’m being honest...

While I’m keeping the basest, the basiesest core (Edd being chaotic bastard Malkavian, Tom being mean and cynical Nosf, Matt being old-fashioned but also a rebel at heart Torrie, and Tord being far less infected with rabies compared to other modern Brujah) I’m changing lots of their characterization, backstories and relationships with each other as well. So don’t expect something you expected from their older versions.

The same goes for every other character, and I’m getting rid of some that don’t serve much purpose anymore.  

What’s in store? 

New script is in the process. And while it is slowly processing, I will be updating most pages on this blog: specifically “About” and “Characters”, with new relevant information and art. I have archived everything these pages contained, and I’ll put the link to the Google Drive folder up in the “About” page for anyone who wishes to look at the old stuff. I won’t be deleting any of the older posts on the blog though.

Update schedule?

Can’t promise one. Life’s hectic now as hectic can possibly get. I will update once there is an update, but please try to be considerate and don’t ask me “when”. I will most likely go on hiatuses from time to time but I will try to warn in advance if it’s going to take long. Overall, this passion project is just that, a passion project. Not my job. Not something that gives me anything but mental satisfaction. Not even a tip jar. I’m working alone, with occasional help from friends who are kind enough to proof read and brainstorm with me (Nina, Jazz, Engi, Hawa, long live you beautiful human beings). So all I’m asking is some compassion and understanding from all of you u_u If you can do it for me I’m sure it’ll take me longer to lose interest this time XD  Ask box stays closed for now, I’ll reopen it once I’ll update all the pages.
