For all Bruce’s flaws, in the comics it took him about 2 seconds to realize something was up with Tim’s parents. You could say this is part of Bruce’s parenting that is slightly better in canon than fanon, but it’s also maybe just because 13 year old Tim in comics didn’t have as much brain-to-mouth filter as fanon Tim seems to, so he told on his parents as soon as Bruce & Alfred asked about them. There is no dodging questions to keep his parents out of trouble, he just says concerning stuff and expects no one to do anything about it I guess.

I have and it is, indeed, a bullshit article.

If anyone had planned to read the new TIME article - don't. Use your time for something more useful (it has one, maybe two good parts but not really anything new or what I would say is worth a read). The article is full of bullshit, pro-Russian propaganda (to a point were you could play bingo and actually get one - think of any Russian Propaganda point and you'll most likely find it in the article) and basically a backstab from Simon Shuster.

Very sad to see that Shuster is now a pro-Russian Propaganda mouthpiece (again).

The article is awful in so many ways and he throws Ze under the bus, portraying him in an unfair, unjustified and very wrong light. Truly despictable article, not worth anyone's time.

The article is actually in fact so awful, I'm going to cancel my pre-order of Shuster's book about Ze. Because now I assume the book (who's title and summary changed in the past, btw) will now be written in the same style and I'm certainly not going to throw money into an awful Russian Propaganda mouth. I'll wait for reviews, maybe I'll get my hands on a copy in book store and I can glimpse into it.

Very sad to see that Shuster had this change in attitude and support regarding Ukraine (especially after his pro-Ukraine stance last year and his insightful and good reports about Ze), but given his history maybe it shouldn't be such a surprise (he wrote several pro-Russian and Propaganda articles in the past, mainly 2014 - I always assumed last year his case is one of the typical "didn't know it better, fell for Propaganda, learnt my lesson, now I support" ... well, looks like a "no").

huh apparently wood cutting boards are fairly antimicrobial due to absorption of moisture by the wood and (depending on your washing & prep practices) can harbor less bacteria than plastic cutting boards

#just saw something saying you shouldn't cut meat on wood cutting boards and thought that seemed fishy with no context and I guess it was #plastic is not a magically more foodsafe material..... #also theoretically you can sand down an old cut up wood board #and in my food service experience those plastic boards get all rough and cut up sooo fast #and like they're put in soapy water and sanitizer so it's fine #but it doesn't seem like it would be an inherently safer food prep surface in any way #people are also cleaning their wooden boards with soap like. how would plastic be any better in the first place #look this up yourself though before telling other people I'm just some guy on the internet not a food safety expert

i've noticed a certain trend in the recent polls so i just want to remind you guys that yes while this is just for fun and giggles, this is also an outfits poll aka which outfit you think is the best, not a "which blorbo is the best" competition. i'm aware that if a certain character is your blorbo then you might be more inclined to see their outfit as attractive bc of bias and stuff—which i know is normal like everyone's naturally gonna be biased towards their fave (i know i am)—but as the tourney admin i would like for people to put aside their blorbo bias as much as possible and look at each outfit for what it is, and evaluate how good it is and how well the character pulls it off regardless of whether it's your blorbo or a character you're okay with or a character you despise from the bottom of your heart (i leave 'good' up to your own interpretation bc everyone has different tastes in fashion so someone's "ew what the fuck is that" could be someone else's "omg slay")
