Hurt/Comfort! Shuichi, Kokichi, Rantaro, Teruteru and Gundham discovering that their crushes’ s/o is cheating on her

Shuichi Saihara

It wasn’t that he was envious of your ex, well, he was, but he can’t help but see how fishy they seemed.

It won’t take long for the Ultimate Detective to discover that your ex was cheating on you.

Shuichi wasn’t one to be angry, but he felt furious that your ex took advantage of you and failed to cherish your feelings.

He makes sure to tell you as soon as possible and when you’re not busy with school or work, so that you won’t have anything else to worry about.

He stays composed for the both of you, forgetting the way he stutters to even say hello to you a handful of times before.

Right now, you needed someone to comfort you.

He lets you cry on him for as long as you need, gently brushing a thumb across your knuckles.

“Lets take it one day at a time, okay, S/O?”

He lets you sift through your emotions for as long as you like, just holding you.

He does a lot of small, nice things for you.

He shyly offers his lap for you to nap on if he sees that you haven’t been sleeping well.

He sometimes offers to stay with you if you just wanna marathon through your favorite shows.

It could also be subtly steering you away from people who tend to gossip.

He’ll be with you through the whole process, making sure you’re taking care of yourself by personally checking in on your home or dorm room.

He’s no 5-star chef, but he’s a decent cook, so you have lunch or dinner together sometimes. Alleviating your heartbreak and instead focusing on what you do have- a supportive Shuichi.

“Let me know if there’s anything I can do for you. Oh, uh, no pressure, of course!”

Kokichi Ouma

Kokichi knew there was no way to sugarcoat this. So he’s very careful as he tries to spare you from as much heartache as he can.

When he confronts you, he skirts around the topic, dropping you a few hints here and there. Being the normal, frustrating Ouma you knew.

Eventually, you piece things together on your own and come to your own conclusion after being given the facts.

Because if he bluntly tattled, there’s a chance that you wouldn’t believe him and the cheater would try to manipulate you into thinking he’s lying.

He’s stuck to you like glue, he doesn’t want you to feel lonely.

He tends to pull you into a loop of cheeky banter and light lies, distracting you from the world by making you laugh.

He might even trip some of his own pranks and exaggeratedly react to them, as long as you smile.

He discreetly leaves sweets on your desk at random times of the day, playfully denying all ties with it!

He will fight and smack-talk anyone who makes you feel bad. He’ll defend your honor for you!

He pranks the cheater at least 3 times a day for the next few weeks.

Most of them involves wedgies and exploding school supplies.

“Just remember, S/O- you’ll trust again, one day. It’s okay to be honest with your feelings. And that’s not a lie, okay? Okay!”

“You wanna help me load up this potato launcher now? Hm? Oh, no reason! I just wanted to grow my own farm in your ex’s classroom!”

Rantaro Amami

The moment he has enough proof to prove to you that your significant other was cheating, he breaks the news to you.

He invites you to a cafe, one that’s easily forgotten, nowhere near your favorite places so he doesn’t risk you associating it with bad memories.

He’s ready to answer whatever questions you have in mind and he tells you that your s/o had been cheating.

His tone is soft and slow, his eyes are sad but compassionate.

He can’t help but reach out to you when you start tearing up, letting you rest your head on him while rubbing circles on your back.

“It’s not your fault, S/O. You’re sweet and kind.. So don’t blame yourself, okay?”

He’ll try to spoil you.

He buys you lots of ice cream or your favorite snacks.

He also does small chores for you whenever he’s over, so you’ll have less to worry about.

He calls you at night to take your mind off the day’s events, so that you could sleep with less worries.

“Tough times never last, tough people do. You’ll pull through this, S/O.”

By the time you feel better, you’ll have the prettiest nails ever. Funnily enough, his concern for you manifested in the way he does nail art.

Teruteru Hanamura

He’s just about ready to punch your s/o, no, your soon to be ex for hurting you.

He doesn’t understand how anyone could even try to hurt sweet, innocent you.

But more importantly, he has to tell you.

He can’t help but poke fun at how easily flustered you are for a while, beating around the bush, until he cracks and tells you under the pressure.

Not the best way to tell you, but he’s prepared for what happens after this.

He cooked your favorite dish before hand, got you the softest blankets ever and even pushed himself to memorizing clean, non flirtatious bad puns if the situation ever called for it.

He texts you a lot, but he keeps the flirting to a minimum- only after he’s sure you’re smiling- to add extra flavor to your day!

He also leaves notes where you can see them, most of them are positive and surprisingly pure.

He comes over to your place to cook you lunch or dinner when he thinks you aren’t eating.

He’ll offer you massages, he’s no Nekomaru Nidai, but they’re heavenly.

Well, with a few quips about lingering hands, but he won’t actually do that- not without consent.

He’ll keep your gaze away from your ex as much as he can. That means joking around, posing lavishly on furniture while flirting. All so he could see your smile turn happy again.

“You don’t have to make big decisions now, S/O. Take your time!”

“Cuz I’m here to help you de-stress~”

Sounds very suggestive, but he means well!

Gundham Tanaka

Gundham… Has no idea how he should tell you.

He has difficulty picking the right words and tone, he doesn’t want a miscommunication and his usual way of speaking might cause that.

Like Teruteru, he beats around the bush and cracks under the pressure- although, he’ll be more composed.

Even though he’s anxious, he will act strong and be what gets you through this!

He’ll come off a little too strong, pulling you into a hug so you don’t see his expression.

He softly explain what he saw your ex doing, careful not to let his tone break, lest he risks you breaking even more.

He doesn’t have the heart to directly tell you that he cheated, but he gets the point across.

It’s almost comical how his expression shifts into a dark, menacing glare whenever he spots your ex nearby- he’s like a motion-sensor.

If that doesn’t make you smile a little, this will:

He teaches the Devas some new cheerleading moves for you.

He invites you over to his ultimate lab to play with the fluffiest and cutest animals he cares for.

If it’s cold, he’ll lend you his scarf- the weather’s treachery is the least of your worries when your around him!

He gets you moving and active by setting up little DIY projects with you- anything to pull you out of a state of inertia.

By the time you forget about your ex, you’ll have a whole wardrobe for the Devas, and a stitchy new outfit!

Gundham’s no expert in sewing, but teaching him will be fun and will take your mind off your troubles.

finally finished my boy! 72.5 hours of work! came out pretty shitty bc i screwed up the main color (the light blue on kou + shouta's shirts) and it looks very. dark. but oh well lmao. came out better than i thought it would at first
