basically black mesa is the crystal castle, and im thinking the stand in for the resonance cascade was either the 1st great conjunction or dangerous experimentation on the crystal with gordon being a skeksi guinea pig. i havent quite decided yet

benrey is either another piece of thra brought to life, like aughra but fucked up lol, or something spawned from essence experiments. maybe a bit of both, like thras last minute attempt to reclaim what was lost. im leaning towards the mix of two, but its still up in the air

the science team worked for skektek/tektih (depends which route i choose) doing various experiments, and darnold im thinking worked/works in aughras observatory? potions for mother aughra LOL. forzens probably a gelfling guard that just Sucks
