January 15, 2023 - Olivaceous Flatbill (Rhynchocyclus olivaceus)
These tyrant flycatchers are found in lowland and foothill forests in a disconnected range from eastern Panama to southeastern Brazil. Foraging alone or in pairs, often with mixed-species flocks, they pick arthropods from branches and leaves in short flights. They build bulky pear-shaped nests with entrance spouts near the bottom from twigs, leaves, and fungi where females lay clutches of two or three eggs.

Hey, I’ve always had a thing for different races and stoners… I’ve always found hispanics the hottest and was wondering if you could turn me into one, preferable a stoner with a above average dick, but if huge is all you got, I guess I’ll take that too haha
You walk into the shop and are amazed by what you see. What appeared to be a small street front shop opened up to an impossibly large space that could likely fit several department stores inside.
“Why hello there!” Pipped up a short, older man with scraggly white hair poking out from his head at almost every angle. His green suit and overall appearance made him look like someone out of The Wizard of Oz. “Welcome to The Emporium! We’ve got someone for everything… or… no… that’s someTHING for everyONE!”
“Uh…” you start, thinking about turning around and leaving. As you turn towards the door, the man seemingly popped from where he had been to directly next to you in the blink of an eye. “Whoa whoa whoa! Where ya think you’re going? You haven’t even gotten your free promotional giveaway prize!” He said, grabbing your arm with much more strength than you thought he would have been capable of.
“Um… ok… what do I get?” You ask, hoping to take the item and go.
“You can choose anything on this table!” The old man said, gesturing towards a folding table containing a myriad of items from shoes to pens to books and jewelry.
You peer over the table and examine a few items. As you’re looking, you find a white and black flatbill hat that almost seemed to jump into your hand. “I guess I’ll take this” you say to the old man and go to leave.
“Oh please, please! Try it on for me, young man!” He responds.
You sigh and put the hat on. As soon as you release it, a burning sensation spreads across your body. You see your perspective shift downwards as your height drops to maybe 5’7.” Your clothes feel baggy on your now shorter frame. They continue to get even baggier as the fat on your body dwindled away. Your arms are thin and poking out of the arm holes. You go to lift your shirt but find it evaporates into nothing as you grab it, revealing a lean body with cute abs poking out of your core. Your pants shorten a little, but remain baggy, leaving them sagging below the waistband of your newly transformed boxers.
Slowly your skin begins to darken to a natural brown tone and your eyes sear as they darken to brown. The hair under the hat retracts to a tight buzz cute and darkens to black.
“Que pasa?” You say, hands shooting up to your mouth as you realize you spoke Spanish. “Qué has hecho?” You try again, but find that no matter how hard you try, you can’t seem to speak any English.
You find your hand slipping into your pocket and find an expertly rolled blunt in it. Taking it out and smelling it, your memories begin to alter. Your previous life is still there, but seems more as a dream as you now remember yourself as Alejandro, born in Mexico and managed to get across the border with your mother and two brothers last year. It’s been a hard year since you got here, but you’ve managed alright and having your daily smoke helps chill you out.
The old man smiles as he ushers you out the front door and as it closes behind you the doorway fades from existence. You vaguely remember being someone else before entering the shop and so think about trying to find it again, but the thought of the blunt in your pocket brings you back and you head for home to have some chill time with your brothers.
