This has been bugging me for a long time but I finally figured out the foreshadowing here—

It explains that Roman didn’t leave just because he felt ganged up on, betrayed or made fun of in SvS Redux—

He left mostly because he felt guilty. He feels like he didn’t do his job well enough—

I think this is probably not a new revelation but I think banter about it gets buried in the idea that no one seems to be on Roman’s side about his feelings towards Janus, or about Patton’s sudden ‘allegiance change’. I think those are fair points but I also think that Roman is heavily disappointed in himself for letting c!Thomas get so far off the rails that Thomas starts choosing alternate (less honourable) approaches to his decision-making (Janus). This is why Roman mentions his ‘mistakes’ in Flirting With Social Anxiety.

Also this is why Virgil is pissed about Thomas’ decisions in that video too. Thomas can’t keep lying to begin a new relationship with a new guy. Fortunately however, c!Thomas is spared having make an excuse (a lie) to approach Nico, because Nico approaches him instead.

Anyway, Roman needs a genuine win soon or I’m gonna explode 😃❤️

Lead pencil, colored pencil, marker, fineliner pen and white pen on printer paper, 8.5 x 11 inch.

This is a combination that I colored of two shots from the animatic in the most recent Sanders Asides episode, created by @rainydaysketches, @abdillustrates and @breigrace [Tumblr: breigrace] 😊

I started coloring on October 28th and finished earlier today. Sometimes, when I see outlines, I want to color the image in, and that definitely happened when I watched the animatic. I intended to choose between two shots, one closer to the characters and showing less below the table, and one from further away; I chose the latter, and erased Virgil and Roman, who blocked the scene a little bit on either side. Having printed it, however, I decided that I wanted to keep the greater resolution of the closer shot, and simply edited it on top, which also allowed me to include its background. The image that I printed first was helpful as a reference for the lines and to try colors. I usually choose the palette that I will use before coloring, but having chosen some colors, I got impatient to start and decided to choose as I went, after I completed the outline and smoothened the transition where the shots meet. This is partly because most of the coloring in this piece is original to varying degrees, and that’s new for my fanart (the only colors that I chose before are the backgrounds of the portraits that have them). I’ve found that it’s an advantage and a disadvantage, and that it makes the piece more personal: usually, I merely recreate an existing image, but here, I also invented aspects of it; not only the execution, but also some ideas are my own. Some of the materials aren’t, though, so thank you yet again to @caramelartgallery for letting me use her markers, a fineliner pen and a white pen, as well as for helping me to scan the completed piece. Character thomas is kind of a creep

This guy literally whipped out a pair of binoculars to spy on a stranger eating alone at a mall food court.

And don't try to tell me those weren't real and were just an imaginary prop roman made, thomas says the stickers are too far away to see so the only way he could see them is binoculars.

Then he proceeds to hallucinate nico threatening to stab him to death and him getting ready to stab nico all because he won't text him back.Imagine being Nico, you have writers block so you decide to sit down at a mall food court and eat your fuckin mayo carrots by yourself, life is pretty mediocre but you are having a decent enough time.

Then four tables away from you theres this guy who's talking to himself like two people are there, not just talking but arguing, you wonder if he even knows other people can hear him right now.

Then he whips out binoculars to stare at you, you have no idea what to do, this is literally the last thing you needed to day.Then he gets up and awkwardly poses like hes gonna leave and doesnt, then he acts like somebody pushes him and then he tries to talk to a plant and a random guy hes never met before.

Then he hops into a trash can.

Then a week later you call him and invite him to an art show, you're having a good time but he looks like he literally just got out of bed two seconds ago and DEEPLY traumatized from some shit that happened an hour ago.

He also lools vacant, bored and like hes busy imagining 5 people sitting under a huge tree 5 feet away from you, you sincerely regret your entire existince and the concept of dates entirely.

Nico better gtfo because i have seen this shit before and it can only end with one of them being skinned alive and forced to live in a potato sack on a diet of their own bile.

Also don't try to tell me thomas doesn't actively imagine the sides or talk to himself because in order for SVS to happen he had to close his eyes and talk to himself for 30 hole ass minutes.
