florafunweek2021 Day 1: Firsts/Regrets

Have some of their backstory in RWBYPirates. Elm’s an Atlesian noble named Greta Rainhart forbidden from loving Vine, a farm boy. That doesn’t stop them from sneaking out and eventually having their first kiss. They’re soon caught by Elm’s mother and after a fight involving Vine’s family and authorities, Vine is forced into the Atlas Navy so that he won’t see Elm. This backfires when the ship he works on escorts Elm on a brief noble trip. Upon returning to Atlas, Elm disappears and eventually turns up in the Navy with cropped hair and her new name, Elm Ederne. Both are placed on the Aesopica under the command of Commodore Ebi. Things change however when the ship betrays the Atlesian Navy, Admiral Ironwood, and King Ozpin, but that’s a story for another day.

Flora Fun Week 2021 Day One: Firsts/Regrets

This is set in an Omegaverse AU taking place in early Volume 7. (@florafunweek)

“So, what was that about?” Vine asks.

“They found some board game in the library, but it doesn’t have directions, they were wondering if you knew how to play.” Harriet offers, grabbing something from the fridge.

“Why do they assume I’ll know?”

“You’re a damn dictionary.” She pops open her energy drink and takes a sip with a loud slurp that she knows Vine loathes. He internally cringes at the sound.

“No, I’m very much human.” The alpha refutes, he knows what she means, and he appreciates her complement, but messing with the peach-smelling omega is more fun.

“Whatever.” The speedster huffs, taking her beverage elsewhere. He makes a mental note to check out the library later, before turning to face the older omega. He doesn’t expect the wave of fear and anxiety that washes over him as he opens his mouth to speak.

"Hey, Elm?" He mumbles. She hums and turns to face him.

“Yeah?”

“Ah,” Vine takes a deep breath, then sighs and starts to fidget with his hands. If Elm notices a change in his pheromones, she doesn’t point it out. “My father has invited me to attend a party later this weekend. He wants me to bring a date, but I don’t have one.”
