Lavender Honey Strawberry Icing Recipe
Ingredients:
• 1 cup fresh strawberries, mashed
• 2 tablespoons honey
• 1 teaspoon dried lavender buds (culinary grade)
• 2 cups powdered sugar
• 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
• 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions:
1. In a small saucepan, combine mashed strawberries and honey. Simmer on low heat for 5 minutes.
2. Add dried lavender buds to the strawberry-honey mixture, stir, and let it steep for another 5 minutes. Strain the mixture to remove lavender buds, allowing it to cool.
3. In a large bowl, beat together softened butter, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth.
4. Gradually add the cooled strawberry-honey-lavender infusion to the butter mixture, beating until the icing is well incorporated and creamy.
5. Adjust the consistency by adding more powdered sugar if needed.
