There are days where I really just want to quit. Everything. My job, my life; and I want to lay down and close my eyes and not be bothered to open them for a very long time. Those days are like a punch to the chest. Makes it hard to breathe, makes it even harder to get through my day. My thoughts will be restless and relentless, nonstop. And at the end of the day, I get home and I just stop. Take a huge breath, let it out. Close my eyes. Center myself. Re focus. I got home today and did just that after letting my dog out. An when I opened my eyes I looked up and got to view the sky change colors. It happens every day, yet so many of us miss simple moments like this. I didn’t miss it today and I’m happy I didn’t. Because it’s beautiful. Life is ever changing, we go along with the speed of the world and we miss these moments a lot of the time. I live for many reasons, one of them being these little beautiful moments that I catch when I can. I hate experiencing it alone but I’d rather experience it alone then to not. Because it’s proof I am still here. So I take another breath; and I look up. For as long as I can, until the colors fade to black. Then I take another breath, and I keep going.
