Eviebean had a very successful meet in her new home today! Way more comfortable and relaxed than expected, so it's all going ahead. Tiny fluffbeast leaves the nest tomorrow.

I'm going to miss her, but ofc we'll be in close contact at least to start with to make sure behaviour plan's being followed etc. It's always hard when they go, but it's an amazing home and her new friend, Pixie, is incredible. (I guess the humans are cool too...)

She's done pretty well for a tiny terrified dog from an inhumane PS. Obligatory first day/last day:

The Ancient’s Arrival

Just like in the storybooks, it was a cold, stormy day on which the dragons of the Thonis Atoll were confronted with a nightmare from times of old.

The unusually icy winds rippling the waters of the lagoon were later blamed on the traveller himself, for his strong ice magic hung around him like a frigid aura when he stepped off his ship into the town of Searest Port.

He did not say anything at first, craning his burly neck and letting his ice-cold eyes wander over the ships, the houses, and the dragons in the harbour…

His appearance soon caused fright, whispering; a state almost deserving the moniker of ‘unrest’…

Truly, the dragons that saw him were scared of the sight, for they had never seen a dragon quite like him before. His thick, dirty white pelt, his antlers, his icy breath and his furred paws: All those reminded the residents of a Tundra, but the new dragon was so much larger, looked so much more hostile than the dragons they knew so well.

It was a Tundra who first cried out what he was: “Ai! It’s one of the ancient jailers, one of the Icewarden’s forgotten first children!”

Everyone had heard the news from the Icefield by that point; news of ancient dragons emerging and going on a search for something that no one was quite sure of what it was.

But no one had expected one of those beasts to appear in the Sea of a Thousand Currents, and on their atoll of all places! A murmur went through the crowd. A Gaoler, here? What could he want?

“Bring me to your leader,” the ancient dragon spoke, after observing the commotion silently for a while.

“What is your concern? I cannot bring you to Lady Blumiose without knowing your reasons,” said the harbour master, bravely stepping forward because through all the fright and uncertainty, the protocol still had to be adhered to.

The Gaoler inspected him for a second. “I am on an important mission. I cannot tell you more, not yet,” he answered, voice just as low and gravelly as one would inspect from an ancient, gargantuan dragon from the Southern Icefield.

“What is your name?”, asked the harbour master.

“I am Eirik of the Order of Seekers, and my mission is of utter importance to all of Sornieth.”

Another murmur went to the crowd.

“Lady Blumiose will want to hear about that from you,” the harbour master said, and beckoned him to follow.

I saw some people making some candy versions of their characters and I suddenly wanted to do the same with Wally. This was a lot of fun! Coloring the gummy body and the cotton candy was a bit of a thing, heheh. But I really liked coming up with the different candies to replace his normal anatomy with.
