I despise Eugene(Flynn Ryder) x Rapunzel and here is why even though literally no one asked

1. The age gap. He is either 23 or 26 when he first meets Rapunzel but it doesn’t matter which one considering she was SEVENTEEN. “She turns 18 like a day after” or whatever. Who cares! She was still a minor when they first met and the fact their first kiss is exactly on her 18th birthday rubs me the wrong way.

2. Eugene is quite literally the first person she has ever met. Excluding her “mother”, Rapunzel had never interacted with another human being before Eugene.

3. Her idea of love was based on books. Rapunzel had absolutely no idea what relationships and such looked like in real life, and since Eugene is the first person— no, first MAN she saw, she just assumed that’s what it felt like

4. Rapunzel would have “fallen in love” with anyone who showed up and treated her nicely, Eugene isn’t all that special which pisses me off because if given a little more time, he could have proved himself to be the person Rapunzel deserves.

I admit they can be cute, but I wish the writers allowed her a bit more time to explore before pushing her into a relationship with, as I said, the. First. Person. She. Saw.
