🐰Springtrap loafs are back with a slightly different look
Finally found a fabric color I like so I changed the loaf a little (v2.5). The v2 version is still available just cus I still have some of the other fabric, and don't know what else to do with it rn. 🤷♂️
They are inspired by those creepy porcelain face clown dolls with fabric bodies. Also partial inspo from @pixelchills doll drops and @maudiemoods mini moon for their designs.
Details and in progress pics below the cut.
The first thing I had to do was sketch out the plan I had for these guys. Tumblr has a limit on how many pictures you can attach for one post so I can only include one page of sketches. This was the main one I followed, using this as a general guide of how big I want each component to be.
You can also tell that I changed the face a bit from the final product.
The faces, hands and feet were made using apoxy sculpt. The hands and feet have wire embedded in them to provide structure and to attach bells onto.
You can’t really see in the picture but Sun has a deeper groove around the outer edge of the head piece to allow room for his rays. Moon also has a groove but it’s much smaller cause all it needs to hold is a little fabric and wire to attach it to the back of the head.
All these pieces were painted with acrylics. It was kinda difficult figuring out how I wanted to paint the eyes, but ended up with something kinda similar to cannon except no pupils for either of them (sorry moon).
Last but not least I cut out a few templates for the body and clothes. I made a few prototypes since I have very little sewing experience and was scared. This unfortunately didn’t stop me from messing up several times, like not having the right measurements for the waist size and ending up with too tiny pants 🙃, but I was able to fix it with some fenagling. If you look on the final Sun doll you might be able to see the extra fabric I added down the sides to fix this. I don’t have a sewing machine so everything was hand sewn and took forever 😭.
Anyway moral of the story don’t do this unless you are willing to sacrifice hundreds of hours to a couple of fictional jesters.
In all seriousness I’m super duper happy with how they turned out and would love for them to end up in some haunted thrift shop at some point. If anyone else wants to do something similar and needs help figuring out how to do it hmu I’d be glad to help.
I'm so glad I realized that these reddish brown yarns would work great for a Foxy plush (and I'm glad I had enough).
I used grey yarn for the exposed endoskeleton parts and added wire to the hook so it keeps its shape. He's also got dark copper buttons for pupils, a pair of brown shorts, and his black eye patch, which can be flipped up and down! <3
Wanted to test out some new voice boxes I got so I decided to make a carnie plush that could talk.I decided to make him mostly because I wanted to hear the voice line of him panicking over being set on fire when ever I wanted lol.
Also today (April-4th) is my 6 year anniversary of sewing 🎉
Pspspspsps steel wool when are we getting plushies of these guys. Idc if it’s their game interpretations or movie iterations I JUST NEED FUNKO PLUSHES OF THE HUMAN CAST FR!!!!!!
