Hmm, good question!

I'd say he views the vast majority of people as human (and so of little to no interest to him) but realising Silent Spy was mute allowed Panga to see him differently and to impose his own thoughts and beliefs onto Si's actions. He's probably not even consciously aware that he thinks of Si more like the injured animals he likes to take in than an actual human being with individual agency.

I have never seen so much foe yay in my life as between Nemona and Protagonist in Pokemon Scarlet/Violet.  She even refers to you as her greatest treasure.  She is ALL OVER you.  Every line is flirting, except Nemona isn’t even that subtle.

But shippers can give it up.  I can imagine no situation in which Nemona wants sex rather than a pokemon battle.  If she pushed you up against the wall and kissed you, her next words would be “I can’t wait long enough to get back to my place.  I’m going to pokemon battle your brains out right here.”  If you asked her where she wanted to go on a date, it would be a pokemon battle arena.  If you took her out to watch the stars in the country, she would roll over, snuggle up, and whisper into your ear, “Now that we’re alone, let’s battle.”  Every word out of your mouth, every look you give her, the way you walk, the sight of you in fancy clothing, the sight of you in no clothing, the sight of you in regular clothing, makes Nemona want to pokemon battle you.  If she suggested lighting the fireplace and getting warm and cozy together on the rug in front of the fire, she would assume you’d light the fire with a fire pokemon themed battle, then forget all about snuggling and drag you out into the snow to pokemon battle.

The pokemon battle tension is thick between you and Nemona from the moment she meets you.  The pokemon battling is hot and heavy and she pokemon battles on the first date.  Nemona is insatiable.  She can’t get enough pokemon battling you.

SO MUCH FOE YAY.  But romance?  Yeah, forget it.

Foe Yay the tf2 fan fiction is a fantastic example of "not knowing is scarier". The main theme of the fic is the fear of sexual assault, but not once is it ever depicted directly as an experience. It's implied to happen but you never Ever get any description of it. It sort of gives a sense of gravity and respect to the topic, in a meta sense, regardless of how various characters treat the topic. Like, it isn't necessary to show, so it isn't shown.
