I decided to go for a 'day and night' theme in the case covering.
First I figured a line to split the colours for the case. I was a bit lazy here and just covered the case with one paper and then glued the other with paste glue on top. I used paste glue instead of PVA because when PVA dries, it leaves a glossy surface that would definitely show. Paste glue dries out matte though and left no stain whatsoever.
I fixed the transparent paper with the design to the case, placed the foil beneath and started tracing with a foil pen and that is pretty much all there is to it.

Day 3: true love. Thought I'd show you how I write with foil with a glue pen. For the best results use smooth paper. First write your words with a glue pen. Then let dry until completely clear (don't get impatient like I do). Then lay your foil down, press to adhere. Sometimes I use a paintbrush to make sure it's stuck everywhere. Then peel the foil off and voila!
✨ Quick glow up post ✨ (swipe 👉 to see the evolution of this design) So this is actually the first design I ever made for foiling projects, and my first venture into illustration ever (my background is in photography). I was in wayyyyy over my head on the concept (for those of you who don't foil, multicolor prints are a royal PITA), so this particular design has been slowly upgraded over the span of two years. I think I can finally say I'm done with it. This is the final design, it's done, I'm laying it to rest. . . . #coachella #coachella2023 #coachellabound #coachellavibes #foilart #foilprints #foiling #glowup #brixcraftfoilart (at Coachella Music Festival) https://www.instagram.com/p/CnsnvLNvvF1/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=
Team Malizia's IMOCA race yacht is back in the water with a new set of foils || Sail-World
Spring has made its way to Lorient. The first flowers are blooming and the IMOCA racing boats are, just like the blossoms, gradually appearing, emerging one by one from their sheds after three months of winter refit. Yesterday, Team Malizia launched their Malizia - Seaexplorer and now she is back in her usual spot at La Base harbour. With a few adjustments and a new pair of foils, both the boat and team are ready to start the first training sessions and solo races of the year.
i made an art nouveau inspired smoke and flame design to go along with my celestial ship and floating lighthouse designs- this one has a sick holographic scale foil that looks copper in low light but as soon as it hits sunlight it goes rainbow in an interlocking scale pattern
it's only $5.50, and i ship for free within the US if you feel like supporting a small queer artist :')
