Flavorful Spice - Cardamom Powder
Cardamom known as the ‘Queen of Spices’ is used as a flavoring agent. Green Cardamom from the western Ghats of Indian region are found to be the best flavorsome spice. Warm humid climate, loamy soil rich in organic matter, distributed rainfall and processing methods all combine to make Indian cardamom truly unique in aroma, flavor, size and color.
Cardamom Powder
Cardamom powder has a sweet aroma with a piney, fruity, and almost menthol-like flavor. The best thing about green cardamom powder, it has some amazing natural properties to add unmatched flavor and aroma to dishes.
Ground cardamom
Cardamom is ingested in different forms - pods, seeds and powdered cardamom. Ground cardamom can be used in a variety of ways. It can be included in your daily chai and coffee, can be immersed in boiling water and consumed on an empty stomach, and even to your masala box. It adds flavor and aroma to many rice dishes, vegetables and other richly-flavored dishes. It can be used in baked goods, curries, breads and rice. It also brings with it many health benefits.

7, 11, and 16 for the weirdly unspecific ask game 🌻
7. What animal do you look forward to seeing when you visit an aquarium?
I laughed when I saw this one originally, because I don't look for specific animals. I look for places where I've lived or where my friends live. I'm always giddy when I see salmon from Washington State or an axolotl from Mexico.
11. Anything from your childhood that you've held on to?
I was going to say 'a lot', but then I looked around my room and realized that most of my childhood belongings have filtered out over the years. I do have some cassette tapes (remember those?) that my family recorded radio shows on. I might actually have one with a Top 20 Countdown from a country music station, circa 2001.
16. Thoughts on mint chocolate chip?
I'M DYING, because YES, I DO, AND THEY MAKE ME SAD. I love all things peppermint, and mint chocolate chip was my absolute favorite ice cream. Peppermint in my coffee, peppermint bark, peppermint patties--you name it. If it had peppermint, it was my favorite. The one exception was peppermint tea, which always left me feeling extremely thirsty, and Altoids, which always gave me migraines.
Fast forward to 2016, and through a series of unfortunate events, I had peppermint water, which is a drop or two of concentrated peppermint oil diluted in like 16-32 oz of water.
Hives, about a centimeter in diameter, all over my face.
Turns out Altoids uses peppermint oil rather than flavoring in their formula, which is why I got the migraines. Peppermint tea obviously uses the leaves, so again, direct exposure. Normal toothpaste is flavored with mint, so my face was always flushed for a few hours after brushing my teeth--which was something I'd started noticing several years earlier.
tl;dr: I love mint chocolate chip, and I can't have it because I'm allergic to mint.

Once upon a time in the bustling souks of Marrakech, there lived a talented young chef named Ahmed. Ahmed was known far and wide for his culinary prowess, particularly when it came to crafting the most mouthwatering Moroccan dishes.
One sunny afternoon, as Ahmed was browsing the vibrant market stalls for fresh ingredients, he stumbled upon a curious sight—a crate overflowing with the juiciest lemons he had ever seen. Inspired by this fortuitous find, Ahmed decided to create a new recipe that would showcase the bright and zesty flavors of these magnificent lemons.
Heading back to his kitchen, Ahmed set to work preparing his masterpiece—Moroccan Lemon Chicken Oven Roasted, or Djaj Mqualli as it was known in his homeland. He carefully seasoned the succulent chicken with a blend of aromatic spices, including cumin, paprika, and turmeric, before generously squeezing fresh lemon juice over the top.
As the chicken roasted in the oven, filling the air with tantalizing aromas, Ahmed couldn't help but hum a cheerful tune. Little did he know, his melodious singing had attracted the attention of a mischievous little genie who had been lurking nearby.
Intrigued by the delicious scent wafting from Ahmed's kitchen, the genie decided to pay him a visit. With a mischievous twinkle in his eye, the genie waved his magic wand and cast a spell over the chicken, infusing it with an extra dose of lemony goodness.
When Ahmed opened the oven to check on his creation, he was amazed to find that the chicken had transformed into the most delectable dish he had ever laid eyes on. Tender and juicy, with a tantalizing citrus flavor that danced on the taste buds, it was truly a feast fit for a sultan.
Word of Ahmed's extraordinary Moroccan Lemon Chicken Oven Roasted spread like wildfire throughout Marrakech, and soon people from far and wide were flocking to his restaurant to sample the magical dish for themselves. From that day forward, Ahmed's Djaj Mqualli became a beloved staple of Moroccan cuisine, cherished by all who had the pleasure of tasting it. And as for the mischievous little genie? Well, let's just say he was never far from Ahmed's kitchen, always eager to lend a hand—or a sprinkle of magic—whenever needed.
