i think i dislike booster as the blockhead get-rich-quick schemes guy mainly cause like. Hes always been the pawn in another mans game. getting backed into the corner by the fixers. max + the jli initially. even via ted tbh like with club jli.

none of these were things he himself started but things he was egged into and eventually gambled on. and personally i think thats a really important distinction to make, in regards to both his experiences as a result of his fathers addiction (resulting wariness + hesitance /to/ gamble) and his hereditary gambling addiction (ease of which he goes along with it despite the fact)

And i haaaate that that relationship with gambling has been extrapolated into a reflection of his intelligence. gambling is an addiction not a gauge on somebodys intelligence. Hes not even stupid he went to college twice. Hes gotten out of jams even ted had given up in i.e the bialya jailcell scene. He had started an entire global technology conglomerate like brother. Convex but in Evo. No, I don't have any ideas beyond that, and I have no clue how that would work since Evo started on October 2017 aka in the middle of hermitcraft season 5 aka a few days before convex's 7th prank. I thought maybe it could be after s5 and before s6 but realized that both seasons are just a few days apart and by that point Evo had slowed down significantly. But imagine that at some point, back when the server was more active, they showed up. Could you imagine.

I have no idea how convex would go from Hermitcraft to Evo, but please. It would be so funny. I know vexes weren't a thing back in Evo versions so they wouldn't be able to wear their vex masks but. Pretend for a second. Pretend for a second that that doesn't matter and yes I know they wouldn't be able to fly either (not much of a change, considering Scar's horrible ping for flying- headcanon he's got. Some wing disability. Not sure what yet) but please. Consider the pranks. I know they'd have less materials to work with but please. I can't be the only one with this vision. I feel cursed. This is what watching Scar's S5 does to a person.

Also, the evolutioners needed someone else to keep them on their toes besides the Watchers. The Watchers liked to, well, watch and judge their actions, maybe a prank here and there if they deemed it necessary, but Convex? That's not how convex works. I mean yeah if you wrong them, you immediately go to their pranks book, but they don't need a reason to strike. Or they make up a reason altogether. That would've brought some much-needed chaos into the evolutioners' lives.

Also I have no idea how the Watchers would feel about them lmao. A part of me thinks they'd be a bit antagonistic towards them (like they were to Grian) but maybe they'd grow fond of them because they're really not bad people outside of their masks. Idk. I just think that there's so much to be explored with this concept.

Also, I'd love to see them interact with the people there. I have a feeling they'd develop a friendly rivalry with the Property Police. I think the PP would start it, but now Convex is Definitely not backing down.

Imagine Pearl appears later and finds a world with a bunch of untouchable pranks around (oh, convex would retaliate against Grian everytime he takes down their pranks) and some shoddy attempts at mimicking vex banners back when such a thing didn't exist yet. She'd be confused, but I can't help but feel she'd become quick allies with them. She'd still join Grian's Empire, but she'd help with the pranks on G. An honorary vex.

I feel *so strongly* about Suzume and it's not even for ME what the Fuck

#yeah i get the overarching theme of survival and mundane lives being precious applies more or less to everyone #but i IMMEDIATELY recognized that the movie was about natural disasters in japan and the population's collective trauma about it #the earthquake warnings throughout the film. and the scene after the first door where it showed people talking about the damages it caused #even how the worm/the Gates/the keystones as a way to abstract and mythologize natural disasters that were out of their control #it was so personal and intentionally designed. #throughout the film i kept thinking 'i wonder what the reception to this film in Japan was.' #meaning i wonder if it meant anything to anybody in japan or if it was just A Movie that no one cared about #i read a couple interviews and Shinkai stated in one that he was afraid of going to the area that was most affected by the 2011 quake #and some survivors in the area WERE offended that anyone would make a fantasy movie about it. #but an overwhelming number of people who considered themselves victims of the tsunami encouraged shinkai and said #that the movie told them things they needed to hear #idk creative work about trauma is SO IMPORTANT TO ME. even if it wasn't for me in any way it's so precious #suzume no tojimari #suzume spoilers

So... my day's not going well.

You probably heard about the controversy about Punk and Cabana that's going on right now. And honestly... I don't know how to feel. So I'll just put a 'read more' section to spare others who don't wish to read this.

It just feels so gross and inhumane and the fact that some people are literally defending this by saying "oh, it was a different time, it was the culture back then, it's been years ago and they've most likely changed now". (I'm not lying when I say I have actually seen these flimsy excuses being given around. It's sickening) Just because it was "the norm" back then doesn't make it excusable in the slightest. Not then. Not now. Not ever. Period. No question.

This is just one of the many reasons you should never meet your heroes. Cause 9/10, they've either done something morally or legally wrong. Maybe even both. And 9/10, they won't own up to it either.

I'm just so goddamn tired. I just feel sick and emotionally drained. My interest in AEW seems to be going down the drain, if it hasn't already. I rarely live-blog in general anymore, the backstage drama is leaking into the main show, nearly everybody is turning out to be a dubious or downright terrible person behind the scenes, and I can't even enjoy talking about the show anymore without some bullshit controversy, drama, or dug up dirt flooding into my dashboard these days. It's like all the fun's has been sucked out of it, and what's left is a souless shell of what it used to be. It's ironically become the very thing they've once been very outspoken about.

And yet, for some reason, I still find the characters that are played on screen engaging. I like to study them and watch them for the character they play as, not so much for the actor behind it. Especially when it plays into creative writing/fanfiction stuff like I do. And I have a feeling that admitting that alone is gonna make me lose a few close friends. But honestly, I'm not sure if I really care at this point. I already feel icky and guilty as hell for still having that mindset even after all this crap, so I might as well just admit to it now. There's really no point in hiding it...

So, in short, Fuck CM Punk. Fuck Colt Cabana. Fuck AEW for still going along with a show that will most likely be centered around them, even after when this little controversy will soon blow up. Fuck everything.

I worked at an arts camp over the summer and most ppl working there were artist ranging from backstage theatre, actors, film, pottery, animation, fashion, glassblowing, weaving, there was a guy doing his phd thesis on paper making and he brought along massive sheets he’d made so that he could make books with them for everyone. and like yeah a lot of them didn’t like art school the most or went yeah my industry’s kinda shit but also they were all so thrilled to talk about their work and the cool projects they did in school(ages were from 18 to 60s like this is a wide range of ppl) and so many of them had fantastic stories about their time. two of them(animation and pottery) met at school and got engaged and she makes him vases and stuff based on his characters when she needs to destress and just do something. i watched 5 guys make a giant deathstar out of glass at like 1 am bc they could. a fashion major made a quilted jacket and started talking about how it gave her an idea for her senior year project. there was about 200 of us(i was one of the only STEM ppl) and they were all so happy to be doing art. some of them did other things for work and only rediscovered their love later on and others knew they’d wanted to do it since they were 5 but all of them were so thrilled and even when they complained about proffessors and portfolios they also encouraged every kid that asked to do it and apply and go to art school. this is kinda rambly but figured you could use some good artist stuff and good luck on the portfolio

I’m so heavily pro-art-school, I’ve dreamed of it since I was a kid and I was lucky enough to take part in a local art school’s program for pre-college kids to take classes and live on campus for three weeks which only solidified my love for that environment. I’m So Excited to get to go to art school after I graduate and everywhere I plan to apply I’ve researched extensively, I know the courses and I know the opportunities alumni have gotten, and it genuinely frustrates me so much to see people who take art school for granted, don’t use their resources there and then complain about being set up for failure later. (Or attend a program expecting more than it really offers without proper research, etc) This is rlly sweet to hear and it’s exactly the kind of environment I love to be around, being around other creatives is genuinely so refreshing and it’s always nice to hear people being positive about their outlets and experiences

I’m very much one to encourage the hell out of every single young artist I get the opportunity to speak to, I run art stations at my summer camp and I looove to see what kids are making, it’s so frustrating for me to see grown adults who had a personal bad experience with art school discourage so many younger folks from pursuing their dreams
