Favs of 2020 (Guys edition)

A/N: This is just personal opinion, everyone has the right to disagree. Also all title tracks are linked!

Girl’s Version

TOP 10 of 2020:

1. Spin off - ONF (Sukhumvit Swimming)

All the songs on ONF’s ‘Spin off’ album are really fun. But ‘Sukhumvit Swimming’ is definitely my song of 2020. ‘Cactus’ is my favorite b-side though. The amount of happiness this song brings me is absolutely insane. Even though I severly misheard what they were saying (I LIKE IT STUPIDDDD SWIMMING) the first time, I love the song and the mv concept. Very fresh, very happy, sparks a lot of joy and very Onf.

Onf is one of my favorite discoveries of 2020.

2. Treasure Epilogue: Action to Answer - Ateez (Answer)

The end of Treasure era and well one of my favorite title tracks like ever. ‘Answer’ hits a nostalgic nerve in me and I love it so much. The ending always makes me emotional and I think this was the era everyone served their best looks too. My favorite b-side was most definitely ‘Horizon’ because it also hits that nostalgic nerve.

Ateez hits different and I was supposed to see them live this year so in the words of Hwasa: “Corona... fuck you.”

3. So, 通 - N.Flying (Oh Really)

Okay, N.Flying has really become my favorite band this year so I couldn’t not mention this album. Especially not with how many times I have played it. This whole album is really good but ‘Flower Fantasy’ definitely takes the cake for me. I love a good power rock ballad. Also Kim Jaehyun has made his way to share Johnny’s ult bias position.

I love N.flying so much.

4. Hey, Go Smile - Bloo (When I smoke)

(this is a gif from Nae Tat, I’m aware. Couldn’t find one from the actual mv)

Bloo’s song ‘Downtown Baby’ blew up this year and rightfully so. However the song he released this year is sooooooooooooo much better (in my opinion) The way ‘When I smoke’ starts remind me of a movie, the song is so good throughout and also makes me weirdly emotional alot like ‘Answer’ does. ‘Let it Go’ is also such a good b-side.

I am even considering getting ‘Go smile, it’s your time’ tattooed.

I hope Bloo returns soon.

5. So Beautiful - DPR Ian (So Beautiful)

A piece of art from a man I deeply, deeply respect. Christian Yu created an absolute masterpiece with this one, not only visually but also for the ears. The classic music and jazz elements in it make it such a fun trip to listen too. I’m so glad this was his long awaited “debut” I can’t wait to see what else he brings out.

I’m also painfully whipped for him but that’s besides the point.

6. From Home - NCT U (From Home)

This song on their 2020 compilation album is by far my favorite. I love the mixing of Korean, Japanese and Chinese in the track. The lyrics are phenomonal and their voices are absolutely lovely. I’ve listened to this every day since it came out and it’s just so pretty. It gives me a lovely comforting feeling and makes me all warm and gushy.

Maybe my favorite NCT U unit and I want another song like this.

7. Mayday - Victon (Mayday)

Victon is also one of my favorite finds of 2020. When I tell you I listened to this song daily since it came out. It’s just such a good track and I love the build up and also how the music demonstrates the chaos around like a mayday. Very good song also, all of them looked phenomonal. So this definitely made my top 10 this year, I preferred it over ‘Howling’ immensly.

8. Neozone: The Final Round (Punch)

The song that gave everyone temporary memory loss. I loved ‘Punch’ so much, from the concept to the styling, to the song. It was soooo good. It made me kind of regret not waiting for the repackage and buying the ‘Neozone’ album. But it seemed my man’s is slowly getting his time to shine and it was about time. This song gives me those nostalgic future vibes. Like what people in the 70′s thought the year 2020 would be like.

9. Chocolate - MAX (Chocolate)

The legend who dropped an album and got married. Changmin’s album is absolutely amazing and the title track ‘Chocolate’ makes me feel like I stepped into a luxurious ceo’s office. I fully, fully love this album as well. ‘Piano’ is definitely my favorite b-side and I hope to own this album some day.

Also congratulations getting married Changmin! You deserve the very best.

10. Zero: Fever Part 1 - Ateez (Inception Thanxx)

The start of Fever era. Although this era is bittersweet, the songs are absolutely amazing and I have listened to them nonstop. Aside from the double title tracks, I loved ‘Good little boy’. I remember when the tracklist was released and the fandom was like “the fuck is ‘good little boy’” But yes this album the diary film, the music videos. It was grand.

Favorite boygroup debut:

TOO and DKB

Now ‘Magnolia’ was a song I didn’t quite like at first. I thought it was just another dark concept boy group and it didn’t really speak to me. But then they released ‘Count 1,2′ and they got me. They really got me. That song and album were both contendors for my top 10 this year. BEcause of that song I revisited ‘Magnolia’ and ended up really enjoying it.But still I hope they do more songs like that ‘Count 1,2′ in the future.

Okay... another group I didn’t enjoy the song from at first. But ‘Sorry Mama’ got back on my radar recently and I really, really, really enjoy it. But their most recent release ‘Work hard’ is soooooo good. Look I’m completely here for concepts other than dark lately. The world is dark enough so let’s bring cute and happy concepts back please. ‘Work Hard’ is just sooooo much fun.

Favorite solo debut:

It’s a tie between Wonho and Seungwoo from Victon

This whole album was really good and I’m just really proud of Wonho and I don’t have much else to say about that. (Open mind)

I love Seungwoo’s album so much surprisingly! I wasn’t expecting to enjoy it as much as I did but it really caught me by surprise. I loved ‘Child’ and ‘Sacrifice’ is also just so good.

Then I found out he was gonna debut in a new boy group. I was like ‘ok so he’s my bias and I’m gonna check that group out now’ bUT LIL BIG BOY SONG MINGI DECIDED TO STEAL MY HEART AND MY UWUS

E’LAST - Wonhyuk is my bias but I cannot stop talking about Romin. Although Wonhyuk is also my husbandando so I think that balances it out?

NU’EST - Ren is my bias. Baekho is just a bitch and unfortunately some groups are more problematic for me than others and I wanted this to be a two membered thing but some groups have more than two entering the chat and Aron is standing behind me with a gun to Baekho’s head and Baekho is letting it happen.

A/n: Wrote this to attack myself, really. But is it good? No.

You couldn’t move. Your hands were cuffed to the headboard and your ankles to the foot board. You couldn’t see anything either, leaving you to assume it was a stray tie.

“So pretty, isn’t she?” The voice was familiar but you couldn’t quite make it out.

“All spread out for us. Do you think she’ll be able to tell us apart?” A second voice spoke up and it took all of you to try and make it out.

“Well, she’ll have to.” The first voice teased. “Otherwise she won’t get to cum.”

You felt the heat rise to your cheeks as you looked towards him.

“Tell me.” You could still hear the smirk in voice and you picked your hand up to hit him, getting a laugh in response.

“So who was it, ‘cause it definitely wasn’t me.” He said, trying to pull the blanket back.

“How do you know that?” You furrowed your brows, your grip on the blanket tightening.

“I didn’t, but your response confirmed it.” He laughed.

“Well...you were a part of it?” You questioned.

“Oh?” He said amused. “Was it a Victon member? An X1 member? A member of a completely different group?“

“Why do you want to know?” You mumbled from under the blanket. “So you can tease me about it?”

“Can you at least tell me what it was about?” He tried.

You poked your head out, seeing Seungwoo’s stupid smiled hanging over your face.

“You were just waiting for me to come back out, weren’t you?” You started.

“Answer my question first.” He spoke as he fully pulled the blanket back.

Seungwoo: Seungwoo probably won’t be too concerned about this. He loves you and respects you. He also doesn’t notice that you bias another member of the X1, though he will be a little sad. Just a little. Seungwoo clearly differentiates your affection for him and your affection for the members of X1. He will be happy if you love the X1. “Seungwoo, guess what. Is this shirt pretty?” “Certainly. Your bias is Hyungjun? The boy is absolutely cute, do you want to meet him?”

Seungyoun: Honestly, Seungyoun is old enough to not be concerned about this. He understands your love for him. Even so, he will pretend to pout and ask you cutely with a puppy face “Why does your shirt have a Yohan name on it? Where is my name?” You will have to soothe him that you love him so much, not even able to buy a shirt with the name Seungyoun on it. After hearing you soothe him, he will be happy to feel your love. He pretends to have a good time with you. “Actually, You’ve got the real Seungyoun. No need to buy Seungyoun shirts.”

Wooseok: You know, Wooseok is very jealous. In case you buy a shirt with the name Seungyoun printed with excitement, Wooseok will be jealous and a little angry. He will try not to let you know he’s jealous because he thinks it’s stupid. But he still has expressions that catch your attention like being silent, ignoring you when you show off your shirt and possibly mocking you “That pretty shirt with Seungyoun’s name. Do you want to go out with Seungyoun too? You will have both Seungyoun.” You will take some time to make him stop angry.

Yohan: I think Yohan will be quite surprised and interested in the shirt with your Minhee name on it. He will ask you where to buy it, how and how much for the price of the shirt. Yohan will be a bit sad and disappointed in his heart because the name on the shirt is not his name, but he will forget it soon and will also be glad that you also love the X1. There will be a time when he willfully wears the same color as you, people will know you are a couple. That’s why when he see you wearing a shirt with another member’s name, he can’t help but feel sad and disappointed. But he absolutely won’t let you see. He will wait for a suitable time and ask you gently, “Do you like Dongpyo very much? I see you have a shirt with his name?” Then you understand what he is hiding and hugging him “Yes. I have a shirt Dongpyo’s name on it. But I like you better.”

Minhee: Like Dongpyo, this is not a problem with Minhee and he will also use this to tease you. Minhee’s way of teasing you is a bit more serious, making you a little confused and scared. He will stare at the shirt with Junho’s name on it with cold eyes and then pretend to ignore you. When he can’t take it anymore, he will ask you timidly “Is it bad to print my name on the shirt? Why is the name on your shirt not my name?” You will have to buy another pair of shirts with your name and Eunsang’s name on it so that this boy will not be sad because of jealousy anymore.

Hyungjun: Hyungjun always hoped he was your first pick, but if you pick another member, he will respect that as well and feel very happy. Even if you wear a shirt with another member’s name on it, Hyungjun will see this as normal. You’re his S/O doesn’t mean your bias / first pick is him. And especially, Hyungjun will not be sad because of this. He wishes you could love the other members the same way you love him. His sunsign is Sagittarius, he respects your freedom as well as hopes that you respect his freedom. There will be times when he will also ask you where and how to buy this shirt, he don’t mind your shirt with another member’s name, he just wants to care about you.

Dohyun: Dohyun has a special interest in the fact that you wear a shirt with another member’s name on it. When you wear a shirt with Eunsang’s name on it, he will ask himself first that if he is not your first pick / bias, why did you pick Eunsang intead of picking him. Dohyun is a bit aggressive in character, but not a negative thing. Dohyun wants him to be special and be the only one in your heart. So he will sometimes compare himself to your bias. However, Dohyun will not stop you or get angry about you wearing a shirt with Eunsang’s name on it. He may be jealous, but he will respect you. “Okay, let’s see, is it because Eunsang is more handsome than me? I’m handsome too.” He would say that himself.

Dongpyo: This is not too serious for Dongpyo, but he will pout at you and keep asking that between him and Wooseok, who do you like better when he sees you wearing a shirt which has Wooseok’s name on it? You will find Dongpyo adorable with puffy cheeks and puppy eyes. As soon as you answered that you liked Dongpyo more, he would immediately ask you why not buy the shirt with his name on it but buy the shirt with the name Wooseok on it. At that question, you froze and didn’t know how to answer awkwardly. Right then, Dongpyo will smile and stop teasing you “I know you love me. Don’t worry, I didn’t mind this.”

The Bias List

@avatarfantxsy @quyennie @despairandjo I decided to just list them. I need to make a separate post for bands tho. (that was a lie almost as fat as me) So in this bias list I will only list groups that I listen to. The last bias list I posted there were a lot of groups that I hadn’t listened to yet so this one will just be the groups I know of. I have a few to add, some I have taken off and I will have a section at the end for potential biases. Also some groups have 2-6 biases. For example I literally can’t choose with UP10TION.
