I was listening to the Bolas Rojas playlist and started naturally thinking about what songs I'd add to it if I could, which then led me to thinking about which Finnish song I would add, specifically (for no other reason except I'm Finnish) and then I realised it would have to be this one:

It's a song about the dead partying in the underworld and waiting for the living to join them.

The refrain in English:

They're waiting for us six feet under,

And although they'd be glad to have us

Let's not go there yet, let's not go there just yet

I think it's big Bolas energy with its cheerful attitude towards death and being almost one foot in the grave, but not quite giving up on life just yet, yknow

Obligatory translation notes before someone nitpicks me:

You could also say "expecting us", it has that connotation too. Also technically the literal translation is "under the dirt/soil" but it's an idiom, just like "six feet under". In fact the most literal translation would probably be "we're being expected under the dirt", but that sounds so weird in English and waaay too formal. Finnish uses passive voice much more casually than English does, I think. There's nothing formal about the lyrics in Finnish.

The third line is also more like "and although many (of them) are waiting excitedly".

I didn't go with the most literal translation because I wanted it to sound good in English lol. I'm actually really happy I almost managed to make it scan too xD

And you still get the meaning even if it's not one-to-one.

Listen... I'm kiwi. I was born and raised in Aotearoa and I am very proud of my heritage and culture. I am currently living in Australia, I've been dating an Australian guy for the past four years. And I have never not ONCE been interested in a Bogan. (This is very pertinent to the story. If you've just spent like an afternoon in Toowoomba or Goodna, you'll understand what I mean.) I work in an Auto Parts store in Brisbane: I've had my fair share of being around Bogans.

So why does this fucking guy. Just a dude. Just a white bread looking mother fucker make me question my entire being? Listen, some Bogans are actually pleasant but I've never been physically attracted to the mullets and the porn stache and the fucking stubbys bro. In saying that, he's not sporting any of the normal characteristics of being a said Bogan but just pls hear me out.

He looks like he lives in Ipswich and drives a blue Commodore with the front passenger tyre being his spare, because he hasn't gotten around to getting it fixed yet and does sick burnouts when he comes out of a round a bout on a rainy day.

He's very sophisticated and polished and cultured in his interviews and he genuinely seems like a super pleasant guy to be around but he's a closeted bogan. Change my mind.

I do have to say though... these blue tradie pants will always have a soft spot in my heart. 😍

As much as I love to see Taylor live and tour all over the world this video made me think I'd rather have her put out albums all the time when she feels like it than touring. Touring is very gruelling

I see your point anon, but Taylor has said that she loves and misses touring. It's a massive part of her job and one she excels at - creatively building the whole experience for fans.

As with most things in life, the important thing is to find the balance that keeps you happy and fulfilled without overstepping into the more negative aspects. Currently, Taylor seems to have that and that's why I think that fans should be respectful of the boundaries she has put in place.

When the time comes for tour, I'm sure we'll see her adjust her actions to try and maintain her balance - for example, flying home between shows, not doing M&G every show, having spaces between tour dates for recovery, etc. Plus, she has a great team supporting her who have shown they don't just care for her as a performing seal or cash generator.

To return to today's refrain: at the end of the day, she's a human being!
