here’s a piece that will be shown in an upcoming exhibition very soon! constructed out of a bamboo armature and paper maché and adorned with found materials and paint, this became one of my favorite works of art i’ve ever made. and yes, it lights up :)
I found a good deep box frame, and ended up putting together a bug to go in it. She's made from paper clay around a tinfoil shape, with stocking stretched over to smooth it out, and then just a lot of beads, cardboard, and bits and pieces from my junk drawer.
Here are a couple of my favourite abstract collages I’ve made. These were all done using discarded materials I found and on wood panel. I made these two during the Covid years. They hang in my house for now.
