"Jealous of my freedom" is an odd phrase to use here, isn't it?
The Baron loved Helena Ravenclaw, but she did not love him. Helena had stolen the diadem from her mother, and fled to a forest in Albania. She's living alone, in the wilderness, having stolen from her mother, not even being able to use the diadem for anything, and he's jealous of her?
Of her freedom?
As the daughter of Rowena Ravenclaw, one of the founders of Hogwarts and the wisest one, Helena would have been under quite a lot of pressure and expectations. Perhaps she chose to flee to remote Albania for more reasons than simple fear of being discovered as the thief of the diadem.
And if any of the other founders also had children - we know that Slytherin, at least, did, the Gaunts being the ignoble scions of his line - they, too, would have been under just as much pressure, expectations, constraints.
I don't know if the wizarding worlds has titles and nobility, like lords and knights and so on. But many purebloods considered being pureblood as good as having a noble title, didn't they? Such as...a baron, perhaps? Who, it's confirmed, was Sorted into Slytherin House?
Could the Bloody Baron, jealous of Helena Ravenclaw's newfound freedom, have been the son of Salazar Slytherin?

I'm so sorry, but I must share this brainrot
Every time I listen to the Hamilton soundtrack, I morph it to fit a vision of a near-identical play about the founding of Hogwarts.
Rowena Ravenclaw (immigrant, orphan, daughter of a whore) writes like she's running out of time, putting together her vision of a place of education for young witches and wizards.
Salazar Slytherin keeps his plans close to his chest, waits to see which way the wind will blow. His ambition and rivalry with Rowena drive them both to incredible things...and to a tragically violent end.
Helena Hufflepuff, secret lover of Rowena, puts herself back in the narrative. She tells their story. And holds her own as the moral compass of Hogwarts's founding.
Features occasional appearances from Godric "needs to fight every single battle in the wizarding world rather than just focusing on the school" Gryffindor and mentor figure Nicholas "let me tell you what I wish I'd known when I was young and dreamed of glory" Flamel
Idk I do not claim to be mentally well. Pls help me come up with more connections for this in the comments.

Hogwarts
Terryn walks toward the castle, bold as brass. Seraphine is the first one to see him, and she immediately stops putting up the wards to point her wand at him.

Seraphine: Not another step.

Seraphine: I don’t think we have anything to talk about.

Seraphine: Perhaps just a death wish.

The Founders of Hogwarts have returned to life in the present somehow and they’re hanging out in Hogwarts because they have nowhere else to go.
Salazar Slytherin starts going on dramatically about how he was unfairly ran out of the Castle; the other Founders all roll their eyes and Rowena Ravenclaw cuts him off “For God’s sake Salazar, no one ran you out; you left” “Well, I know when I’m not wanted” Slytherin responds indignantly and Hufflepuff and Griffyndor just groan showing this is an old argument.
Students look on confused because, like wasn’t Salazar Slytherin expelled from Hogwarts “What? Of course not! Who said that? Sal? Don’t listen to him, he’s a drama queen” (Gryffindor)

Rowena Ravenclaw Aesthetic

Hogwarts houses not as your defining trait but the way you survived your childhood — the way you coped with your trauma.
Ravenclaw is the book you buried your nose in as you put one foot in front of the other. They are the children who stayed under the bed with flashlights to catch the monster under the bed. They are the children who came to believe themselves to be monsters. Ravenclaw is a room where you store all the things you try to forget. It’s spending years trying to think your way out of that room. Its knowing the world is a vicious place and finding wonder in it anyways.
Slytherin is keeping your head down and your eyes open. It’s blood in your mouth and venom on your tongue. Slytherin is being sharp and precise and deadly as a snake because there’s no other way to survive. It’s knowing there’s no space for you in this world unless you’re willing to carve it out. They are the children who learned to bide their time. To wait for the perfect moment to strike. To go in for the kill. Slytherin is knowing there is no justice in this world unless you make it.
Gryffindor is a tightly clenched fist to keep your hands from shaking. Its children who used to hide under the bed. Children who swore they’d never let anyone make them afraid again. Gryffindor is raised eyebrows and hackles. It’s children who know fear like a second skin. They wrap themselves in it like a home. Gryffindor is digging your toes into the earth and widening your stance. It’s matching the lions predatory gaze with a challenge of your own and clenching your jaw so it doesn’t tremble.
Hufflepuff is a pair of trembling hands that hold on tight. It’s knowing that caring leads to betrayal and deciding to care anyways. It’s tear stains and heart strings boldly on display. It’s knowing life isn’t fair but choosing to try anyway. They are the children that know the world is cruel. They are the children that love it anyway.

History of Magic window
It's me! Back again with some harebrained theory about the most minute detail in this game!
And this time we are looking at the stained glass window in the History of Magic classroom:
Tumblr media
First of all, the obvious, what the 3 panels of the window represent (from right to left):
The first one is obviously the Hogwarts Founders, all holding or wearing their relic (cup, diadem, sword, locket). For a long while I wondered what that weird shape in the circle at the bottom was. I have since come to the conclusion that this represents the sorting hat (??). It is vaguely hat shaped and has the colors of the 4 houses. But honestly, I'm not sure. If anybody knows please tell me!
The second one is Merlin, it says so at the bottom.
The third one represents the International Warlock Convention of 1289. This is actually an easter egg. In Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets, chapter 9, Hermione interrupts Prof. Binns when he's in the middle of a lecture on the International Warlock Convention of 1289 to ask him about the chamber of secrets. The only thing we know about that convention is that a subcommittee of Sardinian sorcerers is involved (the exact quote from Binns is : "In September of that year, a subcommittee of Sardinian sorcerers -" and then Hermione interupts him again to ask another question 😂)
Apart from what is represented on it, what is remarkable about his window imo is that the flow of time is represented from right to left (the Founders came before Merlin, who came before 1289). In western culture, conventionally, time is represented from left to right, because that's the order in which you would naturally read. Also I think it's a convention for stained glass windows in churches to be read from left to right and bottom to top. But the 3 panels here are backwards.
Another thing remarkable to me is that there is very little in common between these 3 panels. Obviously the central figures represented are all different but, also, the embellishments and decorative elements placed around the central figures are all different.
For the panel about the Warlock Convention of 1289, the theme is time, with several hourglasses being represented. (The red hourglass creeps me out a bit because of the red drop you see falling makes me think of blood, like the passage of time is measured by the blood spilt...but anyway!)
For the Merlin's panel the theme is astrological, with the phases of the moon and stars. For the Founder's panel the theme is learning (with a book) and the Hog of Hogwarts. Very little ties the 3 panels together. Except one thing.
The way I see it, there is only one thing in common between those 3 panels and that's the rolled parchment that the International Warlocks are writing on, and that Merlin and Rowena are holding.
And if you look only at that scroll and nothing else, you would naturally infer that the 3 panels might tell the story of this scroll: in the first panel on the left the scroll is being written, then Merlin hold it and has his wand directed at it, like he is applying magic to it, or otherwise doing something to it. And then Rowena is just holding it. That would be the natural way to read the window: left to right and bottom to top. Except we know from the context that this is impossible since time flows in the other direction.
Tumblr media
So I wonder if there is a secret message in that window, that you should read from left to right and bottom to top (like you should normally read a stained glass window), that speaks about whatever law was passed at the International Warlock Convention of 1289 and how it relates to Merlin and the Founders.
We don't know much about the Warlock Convention. The only other tidbit I could find is that Ron tells Harry in the first book that dragon breeding was outlawed by the Warlock Convention of 1709 so we can deduct that this convention passes important laws for the worldwide wizarding community. Which law did they vote in 1289?
(Or maybe I'm just being crazy and reading too much into things!)

Father: Frederick of Kent, né Geirmund Eriksson ( @that-scouse-wizard )
Tumblr media
Akelda loves her father dearly and always likes to help him with his long hair and hear about his birth land, Denmark. She ideolises him and always makes him flower crowns
Other relatives: Odalric the Red, oldest brother
Tumblr media
Her only brother, he's quite protective of her and always does his best to be a good brother to her. Her death will always mark him.
Denegifu Alpin, neé of Scotland
Tumblr media
Her role model, Akelda always had some sisterly jealousy, for she was everything she wished to be: pretty, witty and strong. She always loved to have her hair combed by her and was the one to convince her parents to let Denegifu marry into the Scottish royal family
Juliana of York
Tumblr media
The most ambitious of her sisters, she was always lowkey intimidated by her, but admired her determination and wished she had her tenacity. She led quite a scandalous life after Akelda passed away
Cuthfelda of Ireland
Tumblr media
Akelda loved her sister dearly, but sadly never got to see the woman she'd become or the family line she'd found.
Hilda the Smith
Tumblr media
Akelda personally took care of brave and curious Hilda and enhanced her love for smithing. Hilda's first sword would be forged in her memory
Agatha of Kent
Tumblr media
Her youngest sister, Agatha has few memories of her, and since she was very young when Akelda passed away, she loved her very much and was the one to sing her to sleep.
Friends: Helena Ravenclaw
Tumblr media
Both with different characters, but with a strong connection, they became great friends despite the large age gap and both died a few months apart.
Significant Other: Edward the Valiant ( @cursedvaultss )
Tumblr media
Akelda and Edward had grown up in similar circles. Their mothers' mentors, Helga and Rowena, were good friends who, seeking a strong alliance, betrothed Henriette and Elfreda's children, thus making themselves close allies.
Both were shy to one another, but bonded over flora and duty to their families, and soon started to fall in love. They rode together and could talk for hours, and, despite her delicate health, spent many hours together.
However, Akelda had a new sickly episode and was bedridden for months. Thankfully, she fully recovered and plans to marry were set on motion. Until, one day, as they had a family picnic in a beautiful meadow full of flowers, she and Edward kissed for the first and final time.
A few minutes later, she passed away in her father's arms suddenly on her father's arms. She had been poisoned by a family rival that was bitter of Frederick being the new king's favourite. Her death would be the catalyst to forge her whole family's lives.
PERSONALITY
Overall personality: Akelda is shy and quiet, with common sense and a very kind and pure heart and soul. She prefers animals and nature to people, though there are exceptions. She likes peace and quiet, though knows that with five sisters and a brother it's quite the Odyssey.
Positive traits: Kindhearted, with common sense, pure of heart and soul, peaceful and wise
Negative traits: Shy and reserved
Guilty pleasure: She likes reptiles
HOMETOWN
Winbourne Manor, Wessex, England
BACKSTORY
Akelda of East Anglia was the fourth daughter out of seven children of Lady Henriette of Wessex and Frederick of Kent, and grew up in a loving and highly respected household, for her mother was a powerful woman and her father was a fierce and feared warrior.
She was the shiest of her siblings, and her parents thought her pure and blessed, for she had been born of a difficult birth that almost killed her and her mother.
When she was twelve, she was betrothed to Edward the Valiant, a remarkable student and fighter, as well as his remarkable character. They spent wonderful years together before, when she was 16, she died of poisoning after recovering from a deadly illness.
MISC
She collects bugs to sketch them and then sets them free
Out of her sisters, her hair is the 'shortest' one, only measuring 36cm
Her almost white hair was taken by her parents as a sign of purity and holiness
She grew up during the highest tensions at Hogwarts
She was later called to history 'the tragic' due to her death being the catalyst to her whole family's fate
Her mother died a few months later due to a broken heart because of her death
She left behind a wild mare, Boudicca, whom she entrusted to Edward
She was the best painter among her sisters and made remarkable portraits of her family and idols
Despite growing into the Catholic faith, she felt drawn to the pagan ways her father often described back in Denmark

I don't know why there aren't more reincarnation fanfics, or maybe it's just me, I'm completely obsessed
But... The amount of stories that can be made.
In Harry Potter, the reincarnation of Lily Evans, or the four founders (which I have seen, especially with Harry being Salazar).
Bianca di angelo, chose reincarnation, is Canon. And a headcanon that is out there is that it is Estelle Blofis
Reincarnation of Padmé Amidala in Star Wars, protecting Luke and Leia and scolding Vader
Reincarnation of lucy gray baird, chasing snow until he goes crazy
Damn, it would be cool if Allison Argent was the reincarnation of Marie-Jeanne
And I'm sure there are more fandoms that I don't fall into.

Seraphine: What?

Seraphine: Watch your mouth, Godric Gryffindor. You said it yourself, we’re a family. This is a discussion, not a trial.

Seraphine: Then you shouldn’t have lied.

Seraphine: You’re not helping.

Outside the castle, Rosalind and her companion have finally arrived, they pause to look up at the castle and then over to each other.

The boy: Are you ready?
Rosa nods and the boy knocks loudly on the castle door. Helga opens the door, but all four of the founders are there to make sure that it isn’t anymore unwelcome surprises.

Rowan pauses for a moment to consider what she means, but the fact that Rosalind showed up without her mother gives him a slight clue as to how she came to lose it. He offers her a sympathetic smile.

Hp and Narnia fans I summon you to talk to you all.
Now I know we as a fandom have fancasted the Pevensie children as the founders of Hogwarts but what if we changed it a bit.
Now hear me out, we originally casted Peter Pevensie as Godric Gryffindor, Susan Pevensie as Rowena Ravenclaw, Edmund Pevensie as Salazar Slytherin, and Lucy Pevensie as Helga Hufflepuff and everyone either agreed or disagreed about their house placement.
But I think I shall bring a new idea forth. Allow me to introduce the idea
Lucinda "Lucy" Gryffindor, daughter of Godric Gryffindor
Edmund Ravenclaw, son of Rowena Ravenclaw and brother of Helena Ravenclaw
Susannah "Susan" Slytherin, daughter of Salazar Slytherin
And last but certainly not least
Peter Hufflepuff, son of Helga Hufflepuff
Think about this for a second.
The children of the founders of Hogwarts
