thinking about the time i wrote a guest blog post for my friend's college blog about cherishing the people you meet and making the most of the time you have with them and this cool concept i coined: ~the friend crush~
thinking about how that was just the repressed lesbianism talking. ah yes that beautiful and smart and funny girl in poetry class? gosh i'd love to be her friend... and talk about boys... and braid her hair... and hold her hand... and kiss her cheek... and adopt a dog... and live in a cottage in the woods with her until we are old and grey. In a friendly way. As friends. ~the friend crush~
Did I mention I went to a SUPER religious college?
hi hello can i speak to *the manager?* i think i would like to be a bumblebee now. opting out of the taxes and emotional labor and constant laundry and existential dread that is humanhood, thank you very much. just vibing with my friends and looking for flowers and making sweet stuff from here on out, please.

I just wanna get coffee with somebody and rant about ~the world~ and give pep talks and hugs. where are yall getting people to hang out with because I think we are plumb out over here. (asking for a friend.)
when there are ten million things to do and the only background noise your brain can tolerate are just the best scenes and episodes of your otp's being otp-ish. ✌🏻

applied for my *dream job* with my *dream company* last week and have just been watching the number of applicants on indeed slowly creep up past 100 ... just sent a message to the hiring manager on linkedin and my hands are SHAKINGGGGG. Did I help myself stand out? Did I needlessly annoy this mans and he's just gonna throw out my resume now? Is my bare-bones linkedin profile going to shoot me in the foot??? I want to work for this company SO BADDDDDD!!! Just hire me 😭😭😭 ugggghhh ~stressin~
adhd is being really stressed out while cooking for no reason and making dumb mistakes on a recipe you know like the back of your hand and then turning off the damn vent fan above the oven and suddenly oh! so much more room in my brain for activitiessssss
miiiiiight fuck around and hyperfixate on my animal crossing island for another 50 hours straight and then immediately abandon it again. Its been about six months. It is time.
hi! i saw that you teach preschool, as someone who is debating on doing that i was wondering what school you did? right now im getting my bachelors(and it sucks) so i was just wondering if you perused a bachelors or an associates or just certifications?
Hi anon!! I have a bachelors in English and took a lot of education classes while in college but actually all of the childcare work I've done doesn't require any sort of degree. It is definitely helpful to have a grounding in child development and lesson planning, which taking education classes while in college prepared me for, but, at least in the states of Washington and Oregon, all of my licensure has come through trainings provided by my employer. (Its worth looking into what your state requires.) I love teaching preschool but its actually not necessarilly what I want to be doing long term, (I'm trying to save up to go to grad school and pursue child psychology or a masters in education so I can work in administration or curriculum development). It is a really rewarding job though and I would absolutely reccommend it if you have a passion for education and an abundance of patience! Childcare workers are so so needed right now too, so I reckon you wouldn't have that hard of a time finding a center that would hire you. I will definitely advocate for you to finish your degree, even if you're hoping to pursue a career in childcare, because having a degree can open up a lot more doors for you down the line. If you want to lead your own class or become a center director or work in a center that follows particular principles (Montessori, Waldorf, etc.) having a degree can give you an edge over other candidates. (Also it can help you make a little bit more money in a notoriously under-paying field.) But again, its great (but hard!) work and a lot of states and centers don't require a degree if you're finding that that isn't for you. I'd reccommend checking indeed and searching for childcare work in your city to see for sure what kind of educational experience your local centers are looking for. Hope this helps! So excited for you :) Feel free to reach out if you have any more questions!
