Mystery specimen!
I belive this is a green swallowtail (Papilio blumei) that has lost the little tails. Feel free to correct me if I'm wrong!
My boss found this butterfly in the back of our store a week or so ago and gave it to me to repair, remount, and reframe.
When I got it the butterfly was in a frame that was meant for two but sadly the second specimen was 98% missing with just a head left. The glass had smashed inwards, causing a lot of damage. I had to reattach a lower wing and brace the other and rather unfortunately I couldn't locate his abdomen.
Very glad to have this one in my collection though! It's my first butterfly and given how I got into this hobby I can't find anything more fitting than having this one be a rescue job.

I'll be honest: I've got no excuse for that one. This is just pure and unfiltered silliness. 😂
The idea that Peach finds Mario very handsome is one that I absolutely adore, and I love imagining that her friends would often catch her staring while he works around the castle. The man would never notice; too absorbed by the task at hand to remotely consider that his visible strain and skillful moves might be closely observed. But little does he know, those seemingly mundane displays of strength and deftness would have the Princess pining even harder for him! xD 💘
What can I say? It's been forever since the last time I drew her looking properly flustered in his presence. I just had to! 😏🤭
