Only one bed

The plan was actually to secretly go to a convention together, in Barrys eyes as friends given Steven was one of the few who shared such nerdy interests even if it was in a cringe way... but after the convention Barry noticed a horror that happened at the checkin... his own ego made him forget to book two rooms for them and instead they had to share a room... and a bed.

‘ There’s no way this bed is big enough for you and me. ’

"Barry-san, I know one way!"

"What do you me- Ack."

To his surprise the tall blond man hugged him tight and let himself fall onto the bed... leaving him squeezed on top of his chest red af... Barry just was flabbergasted putting his hands on it and just look down at him with a tomato red face.

"DUDE THIS IS NOT WHAT FRIENDS DO!"

"But why not... its a sugoi solution."

"L-listen... you get the bed cause you are taller, I take the couch... this will be far better for me..."

"Honto ni? You are a sweetheart for lending me the bed."

"Yeah yeah whatever... just please don't do something like this again."

The Hero boy settled down his back, took a shower and then took his blanket to sleep on the couch. Still he could hear Steven murmur in his sleep.

"Hnn... Barry-san... can we... please hug..."

He hid even more under the blanket... not only did this idiot drive him mad... no he liked him as much as he did... why did he have to feel that way... why was he tempted to join him in bed... he tried to slightly hide in his blanket hope these thoughts would vanish but they kept him up all night.

Among a luxus Winter trip Regina organized, Francine and Inessa were happy to take a break from all the work they did daily... it being quite necessary for the both of them... it was a nice day in the snow... one where the three could ice skate together and enjoy the mountains... but the inn had bad news for them as Francine talked to them.

‘ The innkeeper said this is the last room. ’

"I see.... what a shame."

Inessa gave a nod to Regina who sighed.

"I have an air matress with me we can handle it with the space."

The three ladies headed up the stairs drawing many eyes to them before going to their room and settling bags and suitcases down... Francine leaning back against the couch.

"Finally one week of freedom from that whining Hero... I know I will come back to stress again."

Regina sat down next to her crossing her legs.

"You deserve better than to associate with him."

Francine sighed as Inessa prepared them both an Ice tea.

"He does provide my family however... at least his dad does... this is worth the annoyance."

"And If I would assist you."

"Regina please... I don't want you to spend your money on me really."

Glass blue eyes looked at the heroine in sincerity as she put one hand on hers.

"I rather have you at my side and happier than with this fool."

Inessa settled down the glasses.

"You already pay for this vacation first we need to pay you back. We will find a way to all be free of our responsibilities right. And..."

Inessa blushed a little.

"I still need to thank you two for healing my heart after Dragiselle."

The three shared a small hug before looking back at that bed...

"Regina... you take it... Nessa and I can-"

"No you two join me here... I don't mind it."

The three huddled together... peacefull at once... closing their eyes without any strain or stress to bother them this time.

Although Tenera was happy that Baalin took her to a trip to his homeland... at night when she heard she was sharing a room with him... despite that happy feeling it didn't carry over into her dreams... nightmares plagued her... memories of her fathers rejecting her... of those bullies who were the cause of her legs.... it all itched in her brain as she in her sleep clinged onto Baalins back before suddenly flinching up... her eyes wet as if she cried.

Baalin noticed how panicked she was and pulled her in a hug.

‘ Shh, it’s okay. i’m here. ’

"I... thank you... Even if ... I grew up in the darkness... sometimes... I think I still fear it."

He got shortly up to open the curtains of the window again before joining her back in bed and pulling her close between his arms.

"If anyone tries to harm you, I will keep you save, alright?"

"Hmm-mmhh.. Thank you Bal...I do feel save near your heartbeat."

"What did you dream about?"

She grew silent before asking a question.

"What would you do.... if I never was able to walk again?"

"Not much would change... I would love you all the same."

A soft hum escaped her mouth as she clinged onto him closer.

"I love you so much... and.. I know you don't know me differently but... I still had hope to one day play tennis like normal... but with you... I think I am fine to live with another dream."

"And that be."

The Cat ears twitched.

"To marry you and have a family one day?"

James escaped a groan as he figured out who had to share a room with for this interschool trip... of course it had to be him... but worse... the room they were staying at had only one bed in the middle. And Julian didn't make the situation any better.

‘ I sleep commando, just so you know. ’

"W-what?!"

"Just kidding <3 But your eyes looked curious."

"Oh shut up."

He tried to calm himself down... put down his things, load out his clothes in the closet but then he noticed in his mirror how Julian dressed up in the back... avoiding his eyes to not spy quickly... why did this demon had to get him so nervous.

"Given we are roomies you wouldn't mind going to a party with me tonight right?"

"We are supposed to get up early, Julian?"

"No biggy, its done before midnight but-"

The Demon leaned over James shoulder still shirtless... making the situation not easier for him.

"I wanted to see if I could convince you with my dance move to share the bed later~"

"We are going to share it anyways."

"I know but... You need to loosen up a little. You are always so stiff... a handsome knight like you deserves a break. <3"

He turned around and gave him a wink.

"Be carefull... being in a bed with me might let you wake up with some bite marks-"

"Can you stop that?"

It was a nightmarish day of tease he was unsure how to take... but at least he did get a bit of rest later... at least a little bit.

Name: Matthew Dillon Cormac

Gender: Male

General Appearance: Fair skin, dark brown wavy hair, brown eyes, lean physique, taller than both his parents as an adult. Typically wears flannels, jeans, and boots as an adult.

Personality: As a young child Matthew was very curious and cautious about the world around him. He grew up at a time where humans and vampires were still adjusting to coexistence. As a preteen he developed an outgoing yet slightly guarded personality with anyone he didn't know in the community until he actually got to know them. As a teenager he grew more into being outgoing and a good listener as he became accustomed to having both human and vampire friends. Over the course of his teenage years and into his adult life, Matthew rarely had any bad relationships save for one with a girlfriend he eventually broke up with, and he's never had a bad argument with his parents.

Special Talents: Is great at mechanics like his dad, skilled at archery as a sport, and is pretty smart when it comes to math.

Who they like better: Wendy, Matthew loves both his parents but if asked he says it's his mom Wendy bc he likes talking with her about her old life and about the way things were for her and how she's survived through it all. She's vague about personal details of course, but tells him enough about his Grandparents and how they would have loved to meet him. He does think his dad is really cool, having lived the longest between both parents as a vampire, but honestly how long can you actually spend in a garage with Elvis on repeat over the record player?

Who they take after: In physical appearances, Matthew takes after his dad Lionel with the wavy hair and strong jawline as an adult. He has his mother's eyes but in personality he really takes after both. A little sassy like his mom with a healthy dose of "fuck it" attitude from his dad.

Personal Headcanon: Matthew eventually marries Ed and Audrey's daughter Francine Dalton after the two have been lifelong friends since their parents are very close. They get together some time after Matthew's horrible breakup and marry a few years later.

🖋 Hmm how about Francine and Orion chatting over studying

The library is a great place if you’re looking to study alone or with a group , usually Orion helps around here and there , but today he made it clear that he was unavailable.

He occupied a small table in the corner of the library , where there was just the right amount of sunlight , not too much that it makes it too bright to read on a laptop , just enough to provide a good atmosphere .

The sunlight decorated Orion’s blonde hair well , the strands appearing a golden colour in the sun . It stands out in the line corner of the library and it seems like it caught someone else’s attention as well .

“Studying hard ? You should probably relax your eyes , you looked like you wanted to shoot lasers into your laptop.”

Looking up from the screen , Orion found Francine staring at him with a teasing smile . He chuckled , gesturing her to take a seat next to him , she promptly did , resting an arm on the table .

“Hello Ms Dalton … thank you for the reminder .” He pinched his nose bridge lightly as he sighed . “Are you here to study as well ?”

Francine nodded and pulled out a few textbooks , Orion looked over them , ancient runes , alchemy and magic analysis.

“It seems like you’re already hard at work , that’s good to see . “ Orion stated , giving her a thumbs up . “If you want I could do a review with you sometime?” He suggested .

“That would be lovely , though we should schedule it in case of … variables .” Even though it was a rather vague message, both parties knew who said variable is .

“… that’s true … how about a secluded area ? Where he can’t find us .” Orion suggested . Francine chuckled before poking him on the chin , “Normally I wouldn’t agree to such a thing , but if it’s you , then I’m interested .”

A slight blush crept up onto his face , but Orion remained calm and continued ,” Right , there’s this area in the woods , it has a few benches and there’s a decent amount of sunlight that shines through. I would love to show it to you sometime.”

“Sounds wonderful , how about tomorrow?” Francine offered , tilting her head ever so slightly .

Orion smiled , “Very well , I’ll bring us a snack as well . Maybe some fruit ?”

“You know me well.”

FANCY ANDERS GOES TO WAR By Max Allan Collins Illustrated by Fay Dalton Neo Text

During World War Two, so many of America’s sons went off fighting a war, it fell on America’s daughters to keep the homefront afloat. Now for those mothers and wives living on farms and ranches, none of this was new as they already knew what hard labor was all about. Whereas their city cousins who had only punched a clock behind a store counter or handled a typewriter, they were not at all prepared for the noisy, sweaty, production factories they were required to keep working. The war effort needed lots of planes and tanks and lots of other vital military equipment. Thus in the thousands, these gals put aside their lipsticks for headscarves, and high-heels for work boots and rolled up their sleeves to do their part. Thus was born Rosy the Riveter.

Considering the five long years the war lasted, we’ve always been amazed that Hollywood for the most part has ignored this phenomenon of a woman-dominated America and only given us two major productions centered on the period. The first is the horrendous 1984 “Swing Shift” directed by Jonathan Damme and starring Goldie Hawn and Kurt Russell. Its intentions might have been good, but the story was bland and boring. As for the second, we’ll get to that eventually.

Now mystery writer Max Allan Collins has turned his always active imagination to that subject matter in “Fancy Anders Goes To War,” and delivers a short, fun, and exciting tale debuting a wonderful new character. Francine Anders’ father operates a private investigation business out of Los Angeles. When he is called away to Washington to help with the establishment of the military’s new intelligence department, he leaves Fancy behind to manage the office. What he assumes will be simple record-keeping and maintenance stuff.

What Anders senior couldn’t foresee was the death of a young woman at the Amalgamated Aircraft Factory.  Although reported as an accident, the owner of the firm has suspicions to the contrary. Being a good friend of the family, he suggests that Fancy investigate. With the help of a city detective, she agrees and soon goes undercover as a new employee. Once again, Collins sets the stage with detailed historical accuracy as Fancy finds herself working with other patriotic, self-sacrificing women unafraid to get their hands dirty and willing to take on any job that will help America win the war. Yet working side by side with these women, and their male supervisors, might be a murderer. Fancy’s challenge is not only to uncover the killer but at the same time the motive for the crime.

It’s a dandy mystery and Fancy and her friends are wonderfully realized. We’d also like to tip our pulp fedora to artist Fay Dalton who provides not only a great colorful cover but some equally beautiful interior illustrations. Something we don’t get enough of these days. Finally, we did mention there was a second movie about women during wartime; Penny Marshall’s delightful “A League of Their Own,” with Tom Hanks and Gena Davis. This only makes us wonder if maybe Fancy might return in a sequel. “Fancy Anders Strikes Out” has a nice ring to it, don’t you think?

Barry: I think Yoru wouldn't be too fond of his arrogance unless she could see he's able to back up any of his boasts and would be weary of him. She's not big to braggadocio UNLESS it can be backed up so she'd probably keep an eye on him.

Francine: I imagine they've run into each other in the air before and Yoru would be REALLY confused and not know what to do about it, since she's usually alone while flying. LOL. She'd probably be super fucking awkward about it and just hope Francine left her alone cause interactions are hard.

▪︎Dalton he doesn't like Barry because of his attitude but in deep of Dalton feeling actually he Respects and Admire Barry because He can multitask become a drom leader also become a hero to help others as well. And for Francine he could get along her well because he think she is nice person sometimes if he have free times he visit their drom and hangouts with Barry and Francine at there because he want to getting know them very well.

OC Families Part 1

All of these images are made in picrew... I didn't do all of my ocs yet but I shared a ton of these on Discord... so I will share them here too. However keep in mind I might share less info than there cause some of it is... sensitive content. I will still mention some more abusive parents too so keep that in mind. Leroy, Henry and Mellows are already here... with that said lets start.

Matthew and Yunora Atsuki

Parents of Lyla and Eikichi Atsuki, Dad was a scientist, mom was a Jazz singer and both inspired their children a lot on their kids... they were proud parents however also quite busy hence why their kids grew up becoming such scaredy cats not haveing their guidance... but at least they had their love.

Aurelia and Reginald Parton

Parents of Barry and Paula, Reginald Parton is one of the most influencial and Rich men in the world while Aurelia his wife only really married him for his money... both are the reason why Barry was forced into this terrible view of not being able to live out other sexualities, having this toxic masculity and because they surpressed so much... Paula also left them to pursue herself and not be chained down anymore... Barry just wants their praise and love but... they even deem him replacable as an heir if he makes them too much trouble.

Joseph Dalton

Joseph Dalton…. there is a reason Francine takes care of her siblings… he tries hard to work multiple jobs to provide his family but… trauma still hits deep…. he often looks tired, barely smiles… Francine worries about him a lot, he is also still kinda trapped in this friendship with Mr parton who often uses their old bond to guilttrip him.

Nozomi and Tetsuya Aimon

Nozomi and Tetsuya Aimon… Parents of Yasuno and Yuzuha… Basically Tetsuya was a well off dad with money who at least was kind to his sons and worked hard day and night to provide his sons but was a pushover…their mom used that to just stay home, enjoy the lifestyle, not care about her sons and cheat on her husband a lot…. if the boys noticed they were usually threatned with violence not to tell on their father….

After Yasunos death… Tetsuya finally noticed the machinations of his wife and wanted to take Yuzuha with him to live alone… which is where they are now… Yuzuha however knew from his mom how to get the money needed to survive… hence his career choice as well. Yasuno after Revival changed his name to Innochi so his parents can't find him not knowing what happened and Yuzuha… well dad is now very done with his body and has troubles to keep on too.

Kaiyo and Hiroshi Suzanomoto

Parents of Kaeru, Kaiyo may be small but she still managed to have 5 kids with Kaeru being the oldest of them keeping the Legacy to the fishing business… Hiroshi is still going out fishing with his kids while Kaiyo often plays around with dishes or guides people around the city. Their family in general is very huge and infamously known everywhere cause of their kindness.

Vierunar Family

Atmos and Nephy Vierunar, Fabios parents kinda seem gruff and intimidating yet are genuine sweethearts who want thei kids to live to the fullest. They even approved of his situation as he actually wanted to leave the village in canon. Atmos is a healer while Nephy is a guardian for their Village... and they had Several kids:

Janic, Julie, June, Marton and Sebby, Fabios dearest siblings who work hard to still tend to the village and continue the legacy of the forrests will.

Louis Family that passed

Clementine and Remy Armarin... a sweet Noble pair that use their status to help many people in poverty to have a better life, they were proud of their vegetable garden as well as distributed some of it to the people who had troubles in town... however one day as Louis and Ava, his sister, went outside to play they came back to find their parents laying on the floor... lifeless and poisoned... since then Louis had to take care of Ava alone in this empty noble house that became abandoned after their parents death.

Ava Aminella Valentine was Louis little sister he held dearly... however it got harder and harder to take care of her with him being still to young to take on a job and tend to her sickness that developed... and one day as he went out to get her medicine... she was gone when he came back, left the house cause she wanted to repair a gift he made her a while ago and... the cold winter was to strong... as Louis found her she was dead... of hypothermia.

Carols family

Catherine Ann and Jonathan Ann are very much your standard married couple... Jonathan works in a Machine factory while Carols mom is a housewife who spends a lot of time sewing and knitting stuff as a hobby... her sister Megan ann is part of the Police force and is a reason Carol has a moral code that is high. In all she had a loving and sweet family if not a little overprotective.

1. What’s their full name? Why was that chosen? Does it mean anything?OOO OKie so her name is Margo Schuler but since she’s married to Archie, her name is now Margo Kolb. As for the other questions, she was originally a townie that I specifically made for my gameplay and all I knew was that I wanted somethin cute n unique so then Margo it was!!

4. What is their relationship with their parents? What’s a good and bad memory with them? Did they know both parents? Margo is super close to her parents, I love it so much ;-; (I know I haven’t shown much of them but I have their whole backstory in my head n it goes deep broh) Margo’s best memory of them was when she was a kid. Her family would go down to a smol diner by the town’s lake every Sunday morning, during summer, for breakfast. She would spend the rest of her day by the lake chasing dragon flies with Alec and Francine or watching her dad fish. Then, they’d finish the day with eating watermelon.

7. Did they have lots of friends as a child? Did they keep any of their childhood friends into adulthood? Margo has always been surrounded by friends growing up. She’s done a lot of traveling throughout her life time so, keeping in touch with friends is hard on her, esp now that she’s new to Oregon and Aster is added to the mix. The only friends that have stuck by her side for a long time is Justine Farley and Dalton Lovett (They’re Margo n Archie’s friends from when they used to live in Arizona).

28. What is their biggest fear? What in general scares them? How do they act when they’re scared?Margo’s biggest fear is isolation. She fears that one day she’ll be cooped up somewhere and not have the ability to do anything about it. She hates staying in the same place for too long. Whether it’d be work, location, whatever. However, her smaller fears have to be rodents, scary/paranormal movies and heights!! She tends to get jumpy, loud, and dizzy when she’s scared!

Let me throw some ocs with "I’ll seduce you!" And see who he would be most interested in:

Flynn usually is pretty flashy in his appearances being an actor and all... so what I could imagine is a situation where he was once again running away from being chased and knew Orion was also in trouble so his first instinct was to pull him to the side with his arm wings and hide him away holding him close.

"Such pretty eyes, my bad about the trouble I got you in." He would wink and then once again after he knew they didn't see him rush away again.

Carol around crushes acts shy but she can be playfull when she feels more assured so this scenario she tries to tease him for now.

"I would prefer you look at the book rather than at me but I am flattered about it... I could offer you more lessons if you want to." *wink*

Francine is usually used to people trying to flirt with her so she always has a snarky comeback... Especially when people would be more lazy about it. But I think to him she would be more nice

"Oh... you are just the cutest... Why not stay a bit longer here... I would love to chat."

Flynn Deradell

Orion kept mostly quiet when Flynn had flirted with him , he can feel his face slowly getting warmer and warmer .

Once the two made sure that they were no longer in trouble , Flynn made a quick goodbye and left .

Orion himself found a quiet spot to sit down , he swore that his face was so close to becoming a crimson shade of red !

Note: I chose Flynn because his design is really cool ^^ , but I may have messed up on his hair a bit . Made it too fluffy I think . I hope Flynn went easy on Orion here , since any more and Orion could potentially replace the sun.

I wanted to add something for Carol and Francine as well so here's a short summary of what would happen for them !

Carol Ann

-Orion would be pretty flustered

-He'd stutter for a few seconds before replying

-" Miss Carol- I didn't know you had that in you ... I would gladly accept you offer . But as a study partner , what do you say?"

-If he's going to be in more romantic relationship , Orion would definitely strive to be equals instead of being passive

-Subtly is definitely Orion's saving grace , he goes pretty red before nodding

-He thinks he's so smooth , he is so unexperienced

Corona and the Myth that’s Called ‘Goodwill’

Most people are so determined to keep cheerful during these terrible times that many have invoked the mythical spirit of public goodwill displayed by British citizens during World War 2.

Give me a break!

As French Algerian novelist, Albert Camus suggests in ‘The Plague’, an escalating crisis like the Coronavirus pandemic produces the best and worst in us all.

Personally, I find notorious villains far more engaging than milk-and-water saints and such a man was Jewish Londoner Harry Dobkin, a delinquent who murdered, then dismembered his estranged wife and buried her remains on a bomb site in a vain attempt to make her look like a war casualty. According to both Murderpedia and Steemit, when the charred, mummified remains of the former Miss Rachel Dubinski were almost coincidentally unearthed at the height of the London ‘Blitz’ in July 1942 they had been lying below the ruins of the Vauxhall Baptist Chapel for between 12 - 15 months.

I will leave you to read the full details at the links provided above as here I prefer to examine the clever, if now old-fashioned forensic techniques employed to identify the corpse and trace the murderer.

It was a superb piece of team sleuthing, led first by pathologist Dr Keith Simpson who discovered the deceased had died by strangulation; then the police, whose records showed she had been reported missing by her sister, Polly who in turn led them to Rachel’s dentist, Barnett Hopkin.

Finally, writes the author of the account on Murderpedia, “Miss Mary Newman, the head of the Photography Department at Guy's, superimposed a photograph of the skull on to a photograph of Rachel Dobkin, a technique first used six years earlier in the Buck Ruxton case. The fit was uncanny. The bones found in the crypt were the mortal remains of Mrs Rachel Dobkin”.

Most improbably, the Dobkins’ awful story became the stuff of a fictionalised short crime film, ‘The Drayton Case’, whose stars included John Le Mesurier, now best remembered for his role in the BBC TV situation comedy ‘Dad's Army’ and which in a roundabout way brings me back to base.

Blood Libels, Then and Now

The feeling that succeeding generations fiercely sanctify and protect their forebears’ memory has been reinforced this week by social media chat about the early 20th century Beilis Affair.

The real story and character of Menachem Mendel Beilis and the ordeal he suffered at the hands of the Czarist Russian authorities on false accusations of ritual murder were used as the basis for the multi prizewinning novel ‘The Fixer’ by Bernard Malamud which in turn became a film. This was directed by John Frankenheimer and the screenplay was written by Dalton Trumbo, among the ‘Hollywood Ten’ imprisoned and then blacklisted for putative Communist sympathies.

I am sure that this was no coincidence as Beilis’s story will have resonated hugely with Trumbo for many reasons. Some years ago, the screenwriter’s life story was enshrined on film. It needs figures like his son, Christopher, also a film maker to explain to others like the descendants of Mendel Beilis why and how a factual documentary is quite different from a fictive piece of art. Certainly they won’t listen to me!

------------- The debate takes me to the monstrous artistic scandal of the week, the unveiling of the so-called ‘nouveau baroque’ painting, ‘The Martyrdom of Saint Simonino of Trento, for Jewish Ritual Murder’.

Whatever Italian artist, Giovanni Gasparro and his legion fans may say, the real power of the work is neither in its fine draughtsmanship and exquisite colouration, nor its astute pre-Easter and pre-Passover timing: It lies firmly in the evident glee with which he has depicted the anti-Jewish stereotypical characters in the false, hate-filled story.

The Italian episode was vastly worse than the Beilis Affair, involving Jews being forced to make false confessions to murder and then being burnt at the stake.

Gasparro, according to his online biography, enjoys the official patronage of UNESCO, the Italian state and many churches. Further, he boasts a huge social media following: At the last count, more than 2,000 people had reacted to the controversial work on his Facebook page, while it produced 6.2K comments and 1.4K shares.

I do hope that someone persuades Gasparro that if he wishes to honour his faith in paint, there are a million other ways to do so.

The current pandemic has also produced ‘mini’ libels: While a ‘New York Times’ op-ed compared the Corona quarantine to an IDF military curfew on Palestinians in 2002 without mentioning suicide bombings, the Palestinian Authority initially equated Israel with the virus and only after a long silence, did it admit to cooperating with Israel during the emergency. By then, of course, more damage had been done.

Corona as the Theatre of the Absurd

Try as I may, I cannot find any well-known recent commentators who have referred to Camus’s novel, ‘The Plague’. This is especially surprising in Israel where the great master of absurdist philosophy and art is said to be universally revered.

Professor David Ohana remarks in his work, ‘Israel and Its Mediterranean Identity’ that Camus experienced the Vichy regime’s treatment of its Jews “close at hand through the family of his wife Francine, his schoolmates, neighbors, and fellow intellectuals … Most of Camus’s friends at that period in Algeria were Jews”.

André Cohen, his family doctor became “a victim of the fascist plague that was spreading in Algeria: only two percent of the Jewish doctors were permitted to work in their profession, and there was a similar quota in governmental positions. When the decrees were imposed in Oran, Dr Cohen had to stop working as a doctor”.

Ohana muses “… was Dr Cohen, the enlightened Jewish doctor, Camus’s model for Dr Rieux, the fighting doctor in ‘La Peste (The Plague)’, the outlines of which he began to commit to writing at that time? …

“Camus, who was influenced by ‘Moby Dick’, needed a symbol that would embody the subject he wished to describe in his allegorical novel. The plague of typhus that was raging in the town of Tlemcen gave him his inspiration. In 1941, at the time of the plague, he wrote in the newspaper ’Paris- Soir’, for which he worked, a short story that sketched out the main outlines of the plot of ‘The Plague’, which were fully developed about six years later”.

The past three-four months have  indeed seen our global and virtual village turn into a huge stage depicting a strange, absurdist universe that no-one can yet fully interpret or explain. It now remains to be seen if any leading Jewish writers, be they in Israel or the Diaspora, will return Camus’s compliment and write something worthy of his enduring legacy – and the plague that’s irrevocably changed modern times.
