it's really interesting the contrast between franke and kitty on their campsters. franke is only interested in meeting women and men as friends. kitty, on the other hand, is open to women and men for a whole surplus of labels. franke isn't interested romantically in men because she's solely invested in kitty, and she's fine with labeling her relationship with kitty as an open marriage because there's trust between them, that she's always going to be the apple of kitty's eye, no matter who else sparks kitty's interest.

kitty strings people along, but not franke. she's stringing along quentin and benny, the former being swayed by kitty's confusion and enhancing his crush on her, the latter because he has a crush on kitty without needing confusion. kitty wants to have ties attached to people who are usable, so weaker willed individuals are her preference, but franke, although she just sides with whatever kitty says, isn't being manipulated like the boys. kitty genuinely *likes* franke, and it's that honest care for her girlfriend that hints at kitty's kinder, loving side. she would never manipulate franke like she manipulates boys.

it's a unique take on a relationship, especially for something that is considered non-canon. while franke is committed to kitty, she knows that kitty is her girlfriend first and foremost, regardless of who else is in kitty's picture.

also, i don't see either of them with men when they're adults. they're the lesbian duo supreme of the motherlobe. kitty will still string along guys, but that's just to have them do her paperwork when she wants to skip a few hours of work to hang with her girls.

#also interesting to note that kitty is more willing to manipulate boys over girls #there are girls on to her like phoebe and milka #but she also stands up for crystal in her own unique way when nils flirts with her when she's sad and agrees with franke to cheer crystal u #it's a ploy to get the boys embarrassed but kitty is also - in her own strange way - looking out for crystal #kitty #franke

you know, i used to think kitty and franke wouldn't get along with mirtala, but the crucial component i missed is that they're yuri warriors. kitty wants to take mirtala under her wing, do her make-up, give her hand-me-down cashmere scarves, tell her how it's okay to make m/f pairings into f/f, to which she's pleasantly surprised when mirtala says she already does.

"...and you know what?? rini shouldn't be with helios. she should be with me," mirtala declares as kitty paints her nails, and franke brushes through her hair.

"you are so right and so smart. that pegasus can trot on back home," kitty says while applying mirtala's blush.

favorite thing ab chatgpt is that if it doesn’t know something it’ll just start fucking lying. like blatantly fucking lying.

my dad teaches english classes and he just got a final paper with this sentence: “In terms of style, both poets are known for their use of imagery, but O'Hara's tends to be more straightforward and concrete, while Stevens' is often more abstract and metaphorical — for example, in O'Hara's poem "The French / Window," he writes: "A cat walks along the garden wall / and the tree waves its branches / The French / windows are blah" (lines 1-4).”

the thing about “The French / Window” is that it is not a poem that exists. at all. like, it was literally just written by chatgpt then inexplicably named as a famous frank o’hara poem. and it’s so. fucking. funny. sooo basically heads up for finals season — those of you who use chatgpt, be warned, because you will quite literally be citing nonexistent texts and your professors will show it to their daughters and together they will laugh at you endlessly and you will deserve it

Percy calm, but a little on edge

Percy when mildly angry

Friendly reminder that Percy jackson - our beloved silly adorable seaweed brain - is absolutely terrifying. When he’s angry, when he’s scared, when he’s on edge - he’s not warm and fuzzy.

No other character gets that reaction from people. Jason (the sweetie) is perceived as calm and in control, nico (our favorite self-outcasted outcast) is perceived as solemn and creepy, reyna (girlboss queen slay) is perceived as confident and assertive, and annabeth (our girl) is perceived as fierce, clever, and formidable. They are all intimidating to an extent.

But not like Percy. No. Becasue even when he’s at ease, he’s described as wild and disobedient. And when he’s not at ease, even if just little bit, he’s perceived as powerful, dangerous, and scary. Someone who NOBODY wants to mess with. Nobody even questions his power. One look from him has literal gangs running the other way. One look from him has Leo so scared that he’s literally shaking, and feeling the same innate fright and alarm that he does when jason summons an ear-piercing, earth-shaking, deadly bolt of lighting.

like… HELLO??? can we all just sit on that for a moment?? good lord

One angry look from percy has people thinking one thing: Run.

Percy is, canonically, the character that people find the most frightening and intimidating.

And unless he’s in a good mood - which you better hope he is - the reality is that most of us would be completely terrified of him if we met him.
