okay yes, he does, but he’s not, like -- he’s not DOING anything about it. now that mark's graduated and gone off to do a start up or whatever it is you do in vegas for a job, he is responsible for this frat, and being responsible means you don't fuck the pledges.

even if the pledges keep wearing shorts that expose a lot of thigh. and will play soccer. and get all pink cheeked when they're drunk. and look at you like you hung the moon when all you actually did was shotgun a few beers and belted along to josh's shitty dj set.

What’s one fact about the universe of the soulbond au that you didn’t get a chance to mention in the fic itself?

this is so hard in thinking through potential future ~stuff~ there is definitely a whole legal sports apparatus, similar to what i did in the omegaverse fic, where you can force a team to take a bond partner, and in the future maybe matthew and leon have to do that and it leads to delicious delicious conflict.

also every pop star has at least 10 big hits about soulbonds; the swiftie conspiracies are even more bananas than they are now

What aspects of your writing are inspired by/taken from your real life?

hmmmm nothing is really one to one??? my relationship was long distance for four years so that informs some of how i write those kinds of dynamics; my own relationship to my sister informs how i think about sibling conflict; i, like matthew, will simply shrivel up and die if someone doesn't like me; idk what else? idk a lot of it is finding the universal in the specific. im not a hockey jock but everyone gets lonely! etc. etc.
