For the last day of our Barbie Week, we offer you... a set of interesting documents regarding J. Robert Oppenheimer!

In the mid-1950s, during the height of the McCarthy Red Scare years (and just a few years before the introduction of the Barbie doll!), the president of the University of Washington blocked the appointment of Oppenheimer as a lecturer at the school supposedly because a Communist could not engage in free inquiry due to their ideology.

The University of Washington is sharing on JSTOR some fascinating correspondence from Alfred J. Schweppe, then dean of the University of Washington School of Law, defending the decision; a statement from the American Association of University Professors condemning it—albeit with some dissenters; and a more consistent objection from the University's student committee. We wonder which side lawyer Barbie would have taken...

Comes to You

Have you ever noticed that the world comes to you? In fact, the entire universe comes to you! It all comes to you, and the question becomes: what is your answer?

"Comes to you" comes from all your sensory processes. You do not have to do anything. You don't have to lift a finger! It is a gift from the universe. The chemical-electrical signals of the universe enters inside of you. Then, what do you do with this gift?

You are in an enclosed bubble and the entire universe is outside. The universe enters inside your bubble, one input at a time. The amount the universe enters inside your bubble depends on your reaction. What do you do with all of this?

Your reaction is your answer. You push back. You take the very, small piece of the universe and you bounce it back to where it came from. A small piece of the universe stays with you and the rest bounces back. What stays with you, changes you.

The universe enters and the universe leaves. How much the universe leaves behind depends on you. That is how simple this is! This is what the universe left behind: The universe gave you life. Gave you consciousness. Gave you existence. And now, what do you do?

Meta is censoring Palestine-related content ‼️‼️‼️‼️ 🇵🇸

Facebook and Instagram have been actively censoring Pro-palestine content !

People speaking for the Palestenian cause found a drastic decrease in their engagment rates. In communities where everyone is posting about Palestine, the main feeds are magically filled with completely unrelated content.

It came to the point where people are finding convoluted ways to write Palestine in the hopes of their posts achieving any reach.

Facebook is actively taking down posts that are tagged as #savePalestine. Some of those are posted in private groups with the hope of gathering aid. They are taken down.

Two days ago, Instagram forced an update for its app. The people who didn't have their updates disabled found their feeds empty of pro-Palestine content. Pro-Palestine stories stopped showing.

And as if the reach bombing was not enough, Meta is now suspending the accounts of Pro-Palestinian activists.

This is Tunisian political-education influencer Must Last. He has always been outspoken about a number of humanitarian causes ranging from immigration to climate change to the invasion of Ukraine and has always been a voice for the Palestinian cause.

Last night, he, and manhy others, found their accounts suspended repeatedly in what is clearly Meta's strategy to shut them up.

The war of the 21st century is a war of knowledge and information. How fair could this war be, when your enemy owns your fighting ground ?

Cause I keep on hearing rumors that it is going to…

While I do attempt to keep my opinions off of this blog, I will answer this question.

I feel like yes, there is a high probability of KOSA passing. Especially with bills akin to those in Florida and Kansas being passed.

I personally am against KOSA. I need you all to realize that if this passes, my blog is being deleted. I am a minor, and my parents do not know about my social medias. Nor do they need to know.

However, we must realize that

A: KOSA has not left senate as of April 5th (senate will not return until the 8th)

B: Many bills are being produced to provide better solutions to the problem KOSA claims to solve

C: It has to pass every other step in the law making process

D: The bill will not be enforced until 18 months after it is instated.

I highly encourage you all to research and protest. Do not take rumors at face value. Research. Look up what is true. If we don't look into things, misinformation can be spread. We do not know anything for sure until it happens.
