C'est officiel ! La traduction française de The Ink Black Heart sortira le 2 mai sous le titre 'Sang d'encre', avec une nouvelle traductrice. M'est avis qu'il a du se passer quelque chose en interne chez Grasset pour que ça ait mis autant de temps à être traduit, et avec une nouvelle traductrice 👀

On y gagne probablement au change ! Par contre "Sang d'encre" après "Sang trouble", c'est un peu dommage comme choix de titre, "Cœur d'encre" n'était plus dispo ou quoi ? Bizarre.

What’s McDonald’s like in Paris?

honestly? it's super expensive for what it is. usually a menu varies from 7 to 11 euros which is expensive af for junk food. french people prefer a good old bakery to have a quiche or a sandwich. france also has a big war against junk food and on national television, we've been bombarded for decades that you need to eat healthy and that you need to eat 5 veggies and 5 fruits per day. so yeah, in france they really guilt you into not going to mcdonalds lol

a special item that is worth mentioning is the deluxe potatoes but they have to come out of the fryer to be really good

i also like the this sauce but apparently it's ranch LOL

their dumbest item is the mcbaguette that can be up to 6 euros but like you can find any sandwich in a boulangerie in france for 4/5 euros so idk who green-lit this but they were delusional lol

mcdonalds in paris are also very crowded. lately, everyone's been using uber eats and deliveroo and people apparently love to get cold mcdonalds at home which is a big yikes. so yeah usually you have to wait a while for your mcdonalds in paris to get it and the quality is affected accordingly... one of the best mcdonalds we had was in my hometown because everything was made as we ordered and so everything was hot and crisp

last funny fact: all the mcdonalds in france are green now because the red was too aggressive and too capitalist. they made turn all the mcdonalds in green to make it more "sustainable"
