This species of cichlid makes its home in the rivers of Guyana and Brazil, where it has a lot of floating and overhanging vegetation and roots to shield it. It can also be called Leopold's angelfish or roman-nosed angelfish.
This tank has been set up pretty much like this for a good 3 or so years now. Part of me wants to do something new with it. Part of me wants to leave it as is.
Everyone in here seems happy though! I know Gabriel is after getting bloodworms and brine shrimp for dinner!

They're native to the Amazon Basin, where their preferred habitat is swamps or densely planted aquatic habitats! They have a wide diet consisting of smaller fish, insect larvae and other aquatic insects, shrimp and worms.
