I’m streaming my PS4 copy of Kingdom Hearts 1.5+2.5 from my ps4 pro to my hacked nintendo switch via a homebrew program called Chiaki which basically just fools the PS4 Pro to stream via remote play to the Switch instead of a Vita.

So I’ve recently bought an RGB10 which is one of those chinese emulation systems

plays the standard stuff but also can play some N64, Dreamcast, PSP and DS and surprisingly well considering the cost (i think it was 70$)

Also the custom firmware I have on it added a bunch of ports so I have tons of things running on it like Spelunky, AM2R, Cave Story, Undertale, Shovel Knight as well as games ive never heard of like Hydra Castle Labyrinth and Maldita Castilla but those are fun too.

some games like Shovel Knight and Undertale i had to move files from my purchased copies over on the SD card but it worked and they are really fun to play on it. This is becoming my favorite device to play games on.

My Switch running Android can now play, NES, SNES, N64, GB, GBC, GBA, Nintendo DS, PS1, PSP, Neo Geo, Atomiswave, Sega Genesis, Sega CD, 32x, Dreamcast among many other systems.

Also Minecraft, Doom and OpenBOR

It also can stream my computer to the Switch via Steamlink or stream via GeForce Now.

I have the ultimate portable gaming system!

so i find cyberdecks super cool and i really want like a small pc thing to carry around and i was initially thinking of using a raspberry pi and a screen and some other stuff like battery banks but like

i have a hacked switch, that has a battery inside and screen and runs linux, so why not just get a tablet holder hinge, some magnets and a collapsable keyboard/trackpad combo thing

figured out EasyRPG on my switch so now it plays RPG Maker 2000 and RPG Maker 2003 (plenty of great games like Pom gets Wi-Fi and Yume Nikki)

Millions of games are playable on my hacked switch and it just keeps increasing

nintendo now gone after a channel that simply talked about linux on the nintendo switch like, hacking your own devices isnt prohibited like it loses them no money for people to use the switch as an emulation machine, the dude didnt even talk about piracy, just emulation. he didnt even show how to hack the switch.

After HOURS, i only have gotten 4 openBOR games working. Beats of Rage, Asterix and Caesar’s Challenge, Double Dragon Extreme and Melty Blood Stimulate.

So many either wouldnt boot in flycast or were the wrong format or would boot up and just stutter or be unable to press any buttons.

So these 4 are the only ones i managed to play.

I realize im trying to get openbor dreamcast ports working on a dreamcast emulator on linux on a nintendo switch so its not surprising many of these don’t work.

I’m just happy anything works.

Android 10 for nintendo switch came out yesterday so i managed to tripleboot switch cfw, android and linux on my 128 gb card. Altho that comes with the caveat of me having to repeat all the setup i did before, which shouldnt be too hard since i now know how to do the things.

I installed a program into my switch so i can pirate switch games from the switch and dont have to download games, put them on the sd card and then install them.

So while MUGEN is only possible on my switch if I find some other bluetooth controller I managed to find and install a version of OpenBOR and while initially i thought it wouldnt work with the joycons i managed to map them and it works amazingly well.

User generated content like MUGEN, OpenBOR, RPG Maker, Mario Maker, Dreams, Little Big Planet, etc, etc is a special interest of mine, i just find it fascinating the breadth of human creativity.

I think I found the most optimal way of playing PC Games on my Switch via Android. Streaming with Steam Link, if I add Lutris to Steam, the controller mapping is carried to whatever game I launch from there.

This means I can even launch and play pirated games from there and linux games bought from itch.io

Then I just turn off my second display and fiddle around with sound settings and i can watch youtube while i game.

I have to pause the game to switch videos and ive tested with Control and i have to turn it to 540p but thats fine on a small screen like switch.
